This was actually a really good game back in the day. Shame Free Radical were never able to make a sequel to it.
Maybe you shouldn't pass on God so consistenly. As Mariah Carey said "there can be miracles when you beleive."
Say what you want about this game, but you can't deny the fact that Sony are generating a steady stream of media in the run up to it's launch. They are at least treating it as more than just another AA indie game.
Only 3 more weeks to go before we visit Atropos for ourselves. I can't wait, Day 1 for me.
I'm willing to bet Sony will package TLOU Remake with the standalone Factions Multuplayer game. As a huge TLOU fan, I honestly don't see the need for a TLOU Remake - unless it's being bundled with Factions Multiplayer, as an incentive to buy the bundle.
Similarly, I can't understand why Sony would cancell Days Gone 2 and approve an untested presumably lower budget new IP. Surely Days Gone sold well enough to warrant a sequel - especially since it's bund...
I can't wait for this game. I feel like it's getting bad press becasue of the price and HouseMarque's pedigree. Yes, they've only done twin stick shooters up to this point, and yes their previous games have been AA arcade affairs.
However, the game looks like it's right up my alley, I can choose to wait for a couple of months until the inevitable price drop, but I'm happy to support HouseMarque and so will be happy to pay full price.

Is watching two people have sex the same as having sex yourself?
That's like saying... "isn't it time to you grew up and stopped watching movies."
^^^Exactly this
Unfortunately I thikn you're right. Sadly, I think the gaming media will use Returnal as a "next-gen-game-prices&quo t; punching bag. Hopefully it will prove to be the quality AAA game that it is aiming for.
Dat 1 for me regardless.
The more I hear about thes game the more I think it's going to be a real gem.
The real question we want to know is if it will now be gamepass exclusive?!
The more Ihear about this game the more interested I am. I'm loving the sound of the passive multiplayer elements a la the Soulsbourne games. I'll be there day one for this :)
Yep, apparently there's a permadeath mode. So yeah, very challenging indeed.
Well they should pick up BluePoint.
TLOU2 Multiplayer. I hope it's based on open world survival based. An more realised version of Factions. That would be awesome.
How do you even know what Returnal is really like. All you've seen are a few trailers.
I get it, and I agree with your sentiment that we don't want devs to get lazy and lose the creativity of making new IP's. I hope there never comes a day when all we're getting by way of new games are remakes and remasters; but in all honestly, I highly doubt that will ever be the case. It's an over exageration to say that "all companies are doing is remasters..." That's simply not true, there are many new IP's and many more sequels coming out than remasters/r...
Man I couldn't disagree with you more on all the points that you raise. The technology today allows for some of the old school classics to be realised in ways that the originals couldn't becasue of the technological limitations of the time.
Price - Those games will sell well which will positively stimulate the industry. The price should obviously reflect the current market.
Content - As a remaster/remake the original content is sufficient because ...

I get that, but the problem is that Sackboy: A LittleBig Adventure, a...
I'm not gonna lie, that trailer has me psyched up even more for this game. I hope HouseMarqwue are not showing too much though, I think that trailer may contain minor spoliers, and we still want surprises when the game launches. But yeah, I can see that this isn't just the usual PSN £20 game that HouseMarque usually put out.
