I have to say, the second and third biomes are my favourite. Maybe it's because I spent so much time trying to get past the first biome 😅

If you have a PS5. Play this game. Dare I say, even if rogue likes/lites are not your jam. You might just find a true gem of a game.

1) Rockstar
2) Naughty Dog
3) Sony Santa Monica

Honourable mention - Insomniac Games

Rotten Tomato Award - CDPR (used to be in my top 3... but we all know how that turned out.)

I would be very surprised if Sony don't buy HouseMarque. I feel that Returnal was a test bed for Sony, and even though we won't really have the true picture of the sales figures, I think Returnal already has the critical reception to put HouseMarque back on the map. I think Sony would be wise to at least keep them in house.

This is the article from HouseMArque CEO Ilari, it's a very interesting read, https://housemarque.com/new...

The problem here is that Housemarque were on the verge. It's great that Returnal has found critical appeal, but actually if it had ended up as a dud, it is unlikely that Housemarque would have received funding for any subsequent games. They insinuated as much in their previous blog post during the whole "arcade is dead" period that they went through.

But I hear you, it is good for independed studios to maintain their autonomy; however the risk of maintaining p...

It's definately my GOTY so far, by we still have a long way to go before the year is over. If Horizon 2 comes out this year, or GOW:Ragnaraok (which I seriously doubt), then Returnal will have some real competition.

I've only just cleared the third Biome, and my goodness, that Boss fight was... cosmic.

Definately, the 3D audio makes each run just so immersive. I still get that feeling of rising dread on every run because the music and ambience is just so on point.

Thanks man. Yeah, I was actually usung the DLC suits. In fact each time I died I swapped to a different suit. I stopped using the DLC suits and no I haven't have a single crash or bug since.

Yeah I can confirmt that I didn't have a single crach until the latest patch. Now doors won't open, teleporters won't work etc. Also the item drops seem to have... bugged or frozen, I'm just not getting drops from items. I didnt have any of these problems prior to the patch, and have made it to the second boss a few times.

Dude, you're coming back again with false equivalents. No! I am not equalting a dad letting his kid play horror games to domestic abuse or neglect. You're jumping into my conversation with Inverno and wrongly conflating it.

Inverno's point was that bad parenting becomes an issue that just the parents will have to deal with. I'm saying that's not true. Bad parenting becomes an issue that other's in society have to deal with.
For example, when...

You're extrapolating what I said to reach a false conclusion. No I don't think "eveyone who's ever consumed age inapropriate stuff when they were children somehow ended up as damaged psychos.

But here's my point - the ones that actually DID end up as damaged psychos, all think they turned out ok.

@Inverno

Bad parenting leads to problems that affect everyone down the line. When you have kids you'll understand.
It's completely disingenuous to say "the responsibility is HIS to then deal with whatever HIS kid has...

It demonstrates a serious lack of maturity and a complete lack of understanding of sociology.

Generally speaking, a kid who because of bad parenting becomes dysfunctional for whatever reason - abuse...

Spoken like a true non-parent.
Give yourself a pat on the back man.

Unfortunately, the problem with kids that grow up with issues... society as a whole has to deal with their nonsense.
Kids with issues, become adults with issues. If they then have access to guns for example... not just their parents problem anymore aye?

My point is straight forward. Of course you're going to say it didn't affect you. Everybody does. Unfortunately it's the people around you that can see the truth in your behaviour. I used to be a probation officer for many years. I've met the worst psychopaths. They also all think they turned out fine.

Funny that.

Don't presume that you turned out fine. It's the people around that can tell you if you turned out fine or not.

Hmm... I can't even... I don't even know where to begin with this one.

Congratulations to the kid I guess. Zero points for the dad.

I would be majorly surprised, and concerned if the kid's mom knew he was playing bloodbourne. I'm not one who belives that violence in youth and young adults is because of video games. That's just very poor scapegoating.

However, there are things that do affect the development of childr...
