Where are you getting the information from that RE3 is only 5 hrs long? Have the devs said so?
Yeah, not so much.
I see your sequel but I'll raise you Bloodbourne 2, God of War 2, Horizon 2, Spiderman 2 and The last of us 2.
That statement is a bit premature don't you think.
I think you missed a few. I would have gone for a top 10 and had in your list the bit where Ellie kills David. Also when Joel shoots Marlene - that was totally unexpected and was what set him up as being a bad guy. Then you have the whole bit where Joel gets impaled and and falls off his horse.
Basically there are so many parts of this game that have so much emotional gravitas - that's why it's a classic.
White folk will find anything to discriminate against. A guys got red hair, so what? Sheesh!

I didn't actually quote anyone directly - even though EA execs have made comments on their general stance on singleplayer games. Which is to move away from singleplayer games, and to focus on multiplayer games as a service model.
Moreover, I actually didn't mention any "guy" so I don't know who you're referencing there. However there's certainly no exaggeration to say that EA no longer focus on single player gam...
There you go EA.
It turns out that gamers love single player games afterall, and that if you make a good (singleplayer) game, people will buy it.
Who would have thought?!
If it ever comes out you mean....
The feature creep with this game is just insane. They should have kept to the usual model of iterating on a finished product with a sequel - instead of trying to cram absolutely everything into the one game. At this rate the game will never have the opportunity to get released, because there will always be some new game mode or feature that they can add. I'm actually quite surprised they don't have a VR version... or do they?
The article is talking about gameplay intro that also act as tutorials for the game. Cinematic intros don't count.
The intro to half-life is still one of the best intro'd in gaming. But yeah there have been a lot since then- Bioshock, Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, God of war 3, etc even Little Big Planet had a great intro to the game.
It's a good consumer-facing idea in theory, but in reality it's never going to happen from a business standpoint. Your local store can run trade-in and buy-back deals, but not a company like Sony. You're local game store has much smaller stock allocations to shift, and so can run sales and deals
Sony has sold over 100 million PS4 consoles.
If by some miracle they decided to do a buy-back / trade-in program for old PS4 consoles at $75 each - t...
Politics, and specifically Identity politics this gen has ruined alot of games, and it needs to be left out of gaming all together. It's one thing for games to deal with real world issues and ideologies - and games have always done this (the most obvious examples are war games and specifically Nazism).
However when the whole issue surrounding the game becomes about why does the game have a "gruff white male protagonost?", or why is the main character gay or no...
Yeah but when EA senior management force DICE to implement the new TTK changes (like they did last Christmas), then it's going to be more controversy and backlash. There is no other game that I know of, that changes the core gameplay every Christmas to try and appeal to noobs who won't even stay to play the game in the long term. I really don't undertand that mentality, especially when they are just getting back alot of the good will they lost since launch.
I guess Stadia really has its work cut out for it now.
Death Stranding Soundtrack is definately the OST of the Year.
The Death Stranding soundtrack is so underrated and the most underappreciated parts of the game.
The fact it say "A Hideo Kojima game" within minutes of loading up the game?
Unfortunately, it's not up to DICE, its EA that call all the shots. The new TTK changes was mandated by the marketing suits in order to try and please the Christmas noobs. DICE have to do as their told. If only they were an independent studio.
