That's actually really impressive when you think about it.
Yeah, I've got Death Stranding on pre-order, and I've learned that whenever I get two games at a time - even a couple of weeks apart from each other, I ineviatably never get round to really playing one of them. Time is a real premium for me (especially screen time - as everyone at home wants to use the TV, and no one cares that the latest greatest game has just dropped ).
But the lower price point of Close to the Sun will keep it on my radar.
I love Prey, especiaclly the Moon Crash DLC. Such an underappreciated gem, and one of the best DLC out there. It was such a fresh take on the game I wondered why it wasn't originally part of the game to start with.
However trying to get the platinum for the game - that's the real nightmare, I'm still trying though :)
When is it coming to android though?
Thinking about it, it's highly unlikely that we'll see Death stranding on Xbox or Nintendo platforms, and that's probably written into the contract.
It's a shame, this game looked really interesting, and I was following it sometime after it's announcement. However I think it has been completely overshadowed by the marketing and media mindshare of Call of Duty, Outerworlds and Death Stranding. This is the thing about picking your release dates, it really can sink a game before it even releases.
Anyway I might still get this game - after I finish with Death Stranding.
If I had a choice of the two, I would choose Death Stranding on PS5 over PC. Simply because my PC is not a gaming PC. It's more an old family PC in the back corner of what used to be the dining room, and is good for mostly peggle, Youtube and emails etc.
Now my console space however is in front of my 42" tv, with my surround sound speakers, my three seater comfy sofa, and side coffee table. Perfect 'home entertainment' gaming setup.
You ...
Good on you. It's completely irrelevant though.
Like SolidGamerX said below Kojima still gets your money and Sony still gets royalties on their engine.
Completely irrelevant because you're still going to be playing Death Stranding.
Sounds like a whole load of PR bull that we've hear a hundred times before.
I don't think you understand what goes into Publishers KPI's, sales targets and projections, market windows, as well as investor returns etc etc. The release date of a game is more often governed by these types of metrics. That's why you don't hear companies like EA and Activision delaying games. They would much rather release a substandard product and gain investment returns, and hit their kpi's and sales projections. It's companies like Rockstar, Microsoft, Sony, and...
Nope.
That's awesome, I hope it's got new footage of more combat. I think we've all seen enough footage of Sam Walking, we get it, you walk. But I really want to know more about the combat - especially when you're in hades, what' up with that first person view.
Man, I can't wait,
The rest of the year? What you mean for one month - December? You do realise that Sony don't have to release exclusives every month right? They have enough exclusives on store shelves to last them through unitll the PS5 releases.
So if it gets a 92, then what?
I don't really care about the score, many games still are worth the experience, regardless of their metacritic score.
Yeah, I'm going to avoid reviews like the plague. Best think I ever did in gaming is stop reading reviews.
He also said "you have to co-operate with other people somehow... to be linked to other worlds.."
Hmm... I wonder if what happens in one players 'world' has a direct affect on another players world. I mean we already know that you can form roads and bridges etc. But I'm really curious about he 'void outs' and how that affect other players games.
I hope it's like Demons Souls where players can collectively shift the world...
Seriously, this is fake outrage.
In the first place Kojima Productions is not a first Party, or even second party Sony Studio - Kojima can publish his game wherever he wants. Secondly, it's completely purile to think that Kojima Productions should limit it's footprint by only publishing on Sony's platform.
Sure, Sony have given them a considerable leg up in getting their first independent project off the ground - with the Decima game engine, a...
Seriously this is fake outrage.
Sony was smart to snatch him up before the competition did - even for a timed exclusive. Kojima's cult following meant that whatever he released would still sell bucket loads for Playstation. It was always a win-win deal for Sony. If a PS5 version of Death Stranding does get announced it will further cannibalise any potential PC sales.
That trailer was EPIC! Although after watching it, I wish I hadn't. I can't help but feel there were more than a few spoilers in there. But even Kojima admitted during the live stream that he wanted people to know more what the game was about when he edited the trailer. Awesome.
My goodness, Nov 8th can't come soon enough.
