Great article. My first encounter with the Marauder was a royal pain in my a$$ (I play on Ultra-Violence); but then once I found that middle distance, combined with circle straffing (to maintain said distance) I was able to dispatch him in a few goes. Once he launches that dog though it can throw you off - just focus on getting rid of it and again go back to circle straffing the Marauder (stopping only to farm imps to replenish ammo, armour and health).
Another pro-tip you ...
If you watch the dev blogs, you'll see that the design choice for Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal are deliberate. I agree to some extent that the platforming is abit tedious in places in ETernal, but otherwise I think they nailed the tone they were going for. If you watch the dev blogs, you'll see that the story is deliberately tongue-in-cheek, Hugo Martin himself states that - he said he wanted the game to have a "saturday morning cartoon" vibe. Heck it's why the have the ...
I don't quite understand your reasoning here?! There will still be cutscenes that tell the overall story. Moreover, nearly all story based games have additional subtexts in the form of logs, or books, notes etc scattered around the world - all that stuff is meant to be incidental, and not core to the story. This is one of the most common tropes in modern game design.
But hey, your money, your time. I'll be enjoying this on Day 1 text logs and all.
Nope. Consoles and PC will cannibalize Doom sales.
It's basically Bethesda's little ploy to get you signed up to Bethesda.net so they can spam you with Fallout76 tat.
Can't wait.
Ouch! :)
From the article - quote - "We had all these plans for PvP, and actually, we have the least PvP audience ever. We had whole plans for ways to let players murder each other, and they just wouldn't do it."
Now that's not exactly correct is it? It's not that players did't want to do pvp; it's that the systems for pvp were cumbersome and broken.
It's all about the small details in the animation. It's amazing just how much fluid and detailed animation gives life to the characters; and ND have again made big improvements to the whole animation pipeline the part II. I can't wait for this game, and honestly I don't mind if they make it simultaneous PS5 release - I'll still wait to get it day 1.
What's going on? Did they put up their stall prices or something, is there a secret boycott? I've never been to E3 but it's one of my gaming highlights of the year. I hope E3 doesn't die out.
Who's Noel?
That's quite ironic, seeing as MGSV is also famous for not being a finished product. Konami pulled the plug before Kojima could finish all the chapters of the game.
Rumours going round suggest a next-gen Killzone in the works. I hope they're true.
It's not overtime though is it? Its crunch, there's a massive difference between the two.
I know that behind a release date, are the investors and their expected returns on said investment. However, dev studio's should not become sweat shops. This is also why you shouldn't announce a release date until all your key milestone have been met.
Nope! Absolutely still Day 1 for me.
O dear...
That will be a 'hard pass' from me, thank you very much!
PC only? Is this also coming to console?
