It's already been confirmed by the devs that Abby and Lev made it to Catalika, and that the boat shot at the end of the game is confirmation of that. So yeah, the fireflies are alive.
I actually agree, there were alot of loose threads left hanging when the credits rolled. Primarily the fact that the fireflies are still a thing and Abby knows that Ellie is still the means for a cure. It seems reasonable to conclude that Abby will disclose this information to the fireflies, and the hunt for Ellie will begin again.
Also there's the real world aspect of the PS5 generation for ND, they have at least 2 teams (I think they have 3 teams now?) So considering ...
Despite all the hate, this game is going to go down in history as one of Sony's most succesful releases.
Either you haven't played the game or you haven't had sex before. Let me refute your moronic lizard brain ignorance.
(1) Abby is not a him/her. If you have actually played the game you would know this.
(2) There are many sexual positions that two consenting heterosexuals can adopt, without it being anal sex, you premature imbecile.
I think Bill from the first game is actually a very good example. Less was said about Bill's backstory than Lev's Backstory. You have much more gameplay time with Lev, than with Bill. Yet you think Bill was a better fleshed out character? There was much more character development with Lev, we know his motivations, we understand why the Seraphites want him dead, we feel the tragedy of being rejected by his mother, his religious beliefs, his struggle to accept Abby as an ally, the loss ...
I honestly thought Lev's back story was actually very well understated. It was not pushed in the gamers face, and very little was said about it.
If you have played the game to the end, then you will know that the bond between Lev and Abby was significant, it served as a mirror of the type of bond and journey between Joel and Ellie. But you probably missed the sub text because you couldn't see beyond OMG "trans character"
Seems like cont...
This is exactly why you cant win. And it showd that equality is not what this community wants, but special treatment. If every other person in this world is subject to violence indiscriminately, why should the trans character be treated any differently?
For example, when Isaac got shot in the back, did anyone say "OMG Naughty Dog are being racist for shooting a black character?"
This is just ridiculous. Be happy that a trans character got repre...
Best game I've ever played. But as a horror game, I think it ramped up the horror segments in comparison to the first game, but honestly I wish there were more.
That's a very interesting position. I had a similar thought after I finished the game. I think it might have landed beter if the game had started as you playing as Abby 4 years ago with here dad and the Zebra. The cut to the hospital after Joels rampage immediately sets the context and motivations of the charatcter. And continues the story immediately after Part 1.
This could have been a gentler and more empathic introduction to Abby, and she probably would'nt hav...
You obviously haven't played the game, but have engorged yourelf on the spoiler hate thats out there.
Shame.
😂😂😂
Then you obviously haven't played the game, or you are just not paying attention. Nobody is going to forget about Abby, not any time soon.
It's very interesting the discusson on if the game is nihilistic. All the factions have very strong 'moral' positions. the WLF and the Scars especially are the very opposite of nihilistic. Even the community in Jackson, have found purpose and meaning. However, I get that the main characters and their motivations for revenge drive them to the edge of nihilism, but ultimately both Abby and Ellie turn back from the brink. Abby is able to do so way before Ellie does, Abby's search...
Well all those people were wrong. There'e really no SJW agenda at all in this game. FYI in the real world there are gay people. It's not an agenda, it's just how reality is.
Why bother with it in the first place if you think it's just a waste of time? Go play Fortnite or whatever else you like? I don't get playing games that you're not enjoying.
Thre were so many intense moments in this game, I am one of those that wished there was more horror segments in this game. I loved the encounters, especially in the hospital basement, I wished they had more of that. I think Abby had more of those moments than Ellie.
Someone that gets it. Such a breath of fresh air. The range of emotions that ND were able to elicit from me while playng this game. Grief, hatred, remose, empathy, joy, revulsion, sadness. No other game has taken me on such an emotional journey.
Most peple don't realise that, along with Ellie they too are going through the cycle of grief. I literraly put my controller down and couldn't believe ND wanted me to play as Abby, but then it slowly dawned on me that I was...
Again someone who obviously hasn't actually played the game, the story is only one aspect of the game. The gameplay, the character and facial animation, the graphics, the gameplay/cinematic blending, the music, the lighting etc etc - all that adds up to an overall phenomenal experience. I don't know what "Korean drama" you watch, but I bet none of them let you experience them as an active agent in the story. I suspect your experience of TLOU2 is also only as a passive agent ...
The game is self explanatory, and the themes and motivations self evident.
Go play the game then get back to me, and we can talk.
At the very least you'll understand that it's not nihilistic, and that your premise is false.
@Galmi
So, yeah, enlighten me, what's the best game you've ever played?
