@Mandigo
I agree that the first game is a masterpiece. I've played it numerous times. But Part II makes the first game seem dull and one dimensional in comparison
***Full Spoilers Ahead***
You ARE supposed to hate Abby. That was the point. ND wanted you to go through that experience of real grief and really hating Abby, so that you understood Ellie's motivations and blind rage. It is really interesting watching ppl react to the ...
People just don't get it, which is a shame, but it's only to be expected it's not for everyone. Some people are too used to playing dudebro shooters or sports games that don't require you to get emotionally invested or apply any cognitive depth. Couple this with the sjw hate hype, which is just a massive red herring anyway, and there was always going to be controversy.
We use the term "mature game" to mean a game that is not suitable for minors. I ...
It is hands down the best game I've ever played. I honestly don't understand all the hate. It's like we're talking about two different games.
You are wrong on every single point.
"ruined the franchise" ? You're a joker. Do you know how many copies this game has sold? You can even imagine how many it will go on to sell. The franchise is alive and well, and there's nothing you hatrers can do about.
Need is a strong word in this case. No you don't "need" to play the first game. However I think it will make the experience of the second game so much more deep and meaningul if you have played through the first game.
IMHO It's not the same watching the game synopsis - since playing through, and experiencing the momemnt to moment interaction between Joel and Ellie in Part, has an impact upon how you will feel about their relationship in part 2 - becaue yo...
No doubt the enhanced ps5 version will also sell bucketloads - especially as it'll likely come bundled with the stand alone multiplayer.
I upgrade to next gen consoles to get next gen games. I want developers to use the full extent of the capacity of the next gen consoles, and not be held back by the lowest common denominator,a dn any way why split resources? CAPCOM had the right idea cancelling the current gen version of RE8. Imagine if devs had to still develop games for PS3 and x360 would that just be considered a waste of time and resources?
I think your jumping to conclusions based on false assumptions. Please don't get me wrong, I loved The Order and I really hope that Sony green lights a sequel, but I don't think that sizzle real can relistically be the basis for whether or not it's in development or not.
So what we getting at launch?
-Spider-man Miles Morales
-Horizon II
-Demon's Soul's
-Sackboy Big Adventure
-Destruction All Stars
-Death Loop
-Reternum
+plus all the obvous multiplats and cross-gens like TLOUII, Ghost of Tsushima, GTAV (although who still hasn't played GTAV?)
Yay, more puddles.... obviously why we all bought the first game...
//s
Just like we want it.
The real questionis, if I already have Marvel's Spiderman for PS4 will I have to buy another copy for PS5 just to play the Miles Morales expansion?
I read the article - but I wish I had'nt. Too many 'minor' spoilers. Way too many.
TLOU was enough for me to know that I was always getting this on Day1.

Yep, Dishonoured 2 sales were down on teh first game. Bethesda lainched the game to close to juggernaught that is Call of Duty, and then they refused to provide early review codes to game journalists, so there we're no early reviews.
Well iirc Dishonoured 2 launched a week after Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and Bethesda refused to provide review copies. So naturally sales we're alot lower than the first game, becasue of all the negative hype that surrounded the "no review codes" fiasco.
A simlar thing happened with Prey (which is an absolutely phenomenal game), Bethesda refused to send out early review codes. And surprise, surprise that game didn't sell well either.

I have to be honest, It looks good and all....but where's Warhammer III... hmmm? That's what we're all waiting for.
Basically the Multiplayer will be a standlone game - called Factions, hence my initial confusion. They've started working on teh multilayer, but I'm itching for any news about it. Hopefully once TLOU2 releases, we'll get news on the multiplayer mode.
Ok, so TLOU2 is getting hate becasue of the story - I get that. But I haven't heard anyone who has actually played the game complain about the gameplay being seconday at all. The gameplay is absolutely phenomenal. You need to play the game on a higher difficulty setting than "easy mode" to truly appreciate the gameplay mechanics.
Heck, maybe you just actually need to play the game to find out for yourself.
