Sony has the power to remove content from the internet? Are you Beyonce's lawyer?
There is content that was not meant to be accessible, that just so happened to be accessible on dev kits.
It's defamation of character, and I'm guessing it wasn't part of the contract for her to have certain parts of her body visible, otherwise she would be well aware and not considering lawsuits.
Shane better commit suicide before PS4 launch then, because he is going to be very disappointed.
Beta is the final stage of development, which is mainly polishing. It is mainly designed for stress testing, fix major balance issues and find any major bugs before release. There is usually only minor changes to graphics and gameplay, so it's usually pretty safe to say that if the beta sucks the game will suck.
I've beta tested so many games, and almost none of them have any noticeable change in the final release, apart from games that do rolling releases from beta. ...
Yes, I do believe they have pushed the limits. Sure there may be some minor optimisations, but not enough to get double the framerate and increase the resolution.
And by 'little' dev time you mean what exactly? You seem to forget that devs knew about the PS4 LONG before you knew about it, and you also forget that a massive amount of game creation (ie story, asset creation, general programming, ideas) can all be done without knowing the technical specifications, that...
Yeah, let me guess, they are using 50% of 'teh powerz' and are just purposely doing bad framerate and resolution right? IF they could do it, they would.
Let me guess, you say this because KZ is 1080p and 60fps? The game that has no destruction, nearly 1/3rd of the players, and smaller maps? Well guess what, I just answered why it runs better.
They are totally different things, neither is designed to replace the other.
Why would you hope a game doesn't come out onto something, months after release? Don't want to see what you are missing out on on consoles?
Holy shit, you just wrote a wall of text to claim they delayed to not compete for GOTY?
You realise games get delayed ALL the time right? I don't even remember the name of one game, but it came out within the last few years and it literally got delayed like 4 times months before release each time. Not every game is competing for GOTY, and they will be going into 2014 which is going to have games that have far better tech, allowing for far better gameplay and graphics.
I can't believe you actually believe that. You honestly think the average consumer gives a shit if they can get read the source code? I don't think you realise how many industry standard products are proprietary.
And just because it's on linux doesn't mean it's open source.
The picture for this sums up the authors journalism. Sometimes I wish 12 year olds didn't have access to the internet.
Occulus rift is just a cheaper version of products that have been around for decades, that's not really a breakthrough. Though the same could be said for some of the other things in their list.
Ah yes, the old "We will bundle it as one, but don't treat it as one." argument. The product review should be for the product, regardless of how people should 'see' it. If it's two separate games it would be marketed as GTA V + GTA Online, and you would be able to buy both separately, but you cannot because it is a single product.
DX is fine if you want to build 3D applications fast, which many do. It has massive amounts of support, documentation, and libraries. Also anyone who is developing a game will know that you can actually write wrappers that allow for low level programming that will then work within the games anyway.
DX is also on the same 'level' as OpenGL so don't expect much to change, unless you actually believe the PR pitch that Mantle is 10x faster than both.
...
You basically answered your own question. AMD and Steam want some of the gaming market, instead of it primarily belonging to MS. That has nothing to do with how good it is or isn't. DX only works on platforms that MS wants since it is proprietary software, which is why many devices don't use it.
Using common sense you could assume the situation would be somewhat similar to ejecting the disc while playing...
Many would have said the same for HD resolutions. I remember seeing 1080p TVs for 20k here in Australia. Look at them now, they are nothing in comparison.
And can't the trackpads be turned into buttons? Like if you press it at the top you can trigger input? I think I read it had like 8 combinations for each track pad that can be used as buttons.
"Feel like you're sitting 20 rows (65 feet) back from a spectacular 750-inch movie screen."
That's from the source. Seems quite pointless buying something like this though. Why would you wan't to feel like you are sitting far away? I guess the only good thing about this would be that it blocks your peripheral so you only concentrate on the screen. FOV of 45 is pathetic in comparison to Occulus Rift's 90, but I guess they aren't really trying for ...
Are you kidding? A game that is twice as long will usually contain far more assets unless it repeats back to places.
10 levels vs 20 levels. Which do you reckon would be the larger on a disc?
Oh wow, you actually think DMCAs do shit? I guess that's why there's no unwanted stuff on the internet right? Because the big internet police are so amazing at getting rid of content.
