More advanced models, more advanced physics, more advanced programming, new technologies like better motion capture and model scanning, better texturing/lighting/shading, BIGGER games (ie larger worlds). There are heaps of reasons game prices increase, but they all result in purchasing new equipment, hiring more people, or taking longer to produce.
CGI is easier now than it was 30 years ago, doesn't mean budgets for movies should decrease.
Virtual Reality has been, and will continue to be, in more fields than just gaming. Sony is not just a gaming company. This headset is not designed to be the normal peripheral people buy for PS4. It does not take a genius to figure that out.
All I see is PR for a stale franchise trying to bait in crowds from the larger games. Your example is the only real way a competitive match would work, otherwise it's just free roaming in a huge map, of which current consoles could still do.
All I get from the article is that he is adding in the feature of seeing people doing their own thing, without interfering with your own challanges or whatever. That's pretty much what MMOs are, that's nothing new, and that st...
Thanks for disagreeing. Good to see that not a single person can come up with an actual valid response.
How would next-gen change gameplay in any game? There doesn't seem to be anything that's not already possible gameplay wise, unless it directly correlates to things like AI, physics etc. But that doesn't really 'change' the gameplay.
How dare he want his franchise to be more than just a game! And a company wanting money? That's a first!
Depends entirely on the level. If it's in a corridor it probably would use less, since you are just looking at a wall, but out in the open the draw distance would be the same, and I would assume it would have a greater field of view being a 3rd person side scroller, which could result in more things being visible, increasing the amount of things being required to render.
Holy shit people are dumb. A camera angle doesn't mean anything. Killzone could have a side-on camera if it wanted, it doesn't mean it magically uses less resources.
Not to mention particle systems are an absolute bitch when it comes to resources, and this games has a heap.
For a match until you get utterly smashed.
I'm good with m&k, as well as a controller. Controllers are just to inaccurate compared to m&k in high speed situations.
I've never understood why people give a crap about sales. It's not going to change anything, and if it were, it would make Sony more likely to push harder.
That's wasn't facebook that adopted microtransactions, they were the decisions of the developers of the games.
And it's not like microtransactions first appeared there anyway. You can thank all the DLC guns and costumes, and other places like Second Life for making developers realise there is more money to be made.
With Unity3D having in browser support, and WebGL getting better, I don't see why not.
Oh wow, Sony sold a building for $1, they are going so broke.
Let's disregard the $34 billion in stock MS lost in July.

Neither have anything to do with gaming though, so I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. Companies make failed products all the time,...
Or because it was fake. I read through that crap when you spammed it last, it had one or two jobs on it. There is no way that's the only experience an AMD engineer has.
You sound upset. Some people have friends, so 8 players can work. I played some WWE game with 6 others on PS3 and it was actually rather fun, even though the match lasted hours.
And what's up with the "morons can't figure out how to implement proper anti aliasing"? I'm pretty damn certain that the devs know about one of the most basic (and hardware intense) features to stopping jagged edges. They sacrificed clean edges for better graphics in other depart...
Some interns get paid, and if this guy didn't deserve any money he sure as shit wouldn't have been given the money.
"the Xbox One will not support external hard drives at launch."
"The Wii U and PS4 both support external drives out of the box."
I see reading comprehension is not your strong trait.
Edit: Oh, I see you act retarded on purpose, that must be fun.
And only came out 2 years later!
Two people in a picture? Last of Us rip off!
Oh, we have a professional game developer here.
You can't add in AA (or improve) without taking a performance hit, no matter what algorithm you want to use, especially on an open world game that has heaps of objects on screen.
Riddle me this, if it was a 'little' performance hit, why didn't Rockstar implement it? You don't think they just magically forgot about AA did you?
