Every company hypes their product. Rarely does that product live up to the hype. Sony is guilty of it, Microsoft is guilty of it, Nintendo is guilty of it.
None of us are gamers because we like the companies. We are gamers because we like the games. The only care you should have about systems is what games come out on them. If it's exclusive, then you know which system to get. If it's not exclusive, then you get whichever system appeals more to you. It doesn't mean one s...
No idea, nor do I care. As long as it is fun, does it matter? I dont' care if its a PS3, a 360 or a Wii. If the game is fun, does it matter if it runs at 60 FPS or 30 FPS? Obviously you don't want notable slowdown, but who cares about the actual numbers? It's like bickering over 1080i and 1080p.... in the end, all the matters is if the game is fun.
I agree. Graphics aren't going to be the deciding factor.
I'm surprised they included DEMOS in the evaluation. That's not really a fair comparison as demos typically aren't final product and are sometimes stripped down.
Who cares if they run at 60 FPS? If you like the game, you like it. If you don't, you don't. I couldn't tell you what FPS any game runs at nor do I really care so long as it is fun to play.
You're right, many sites have polls, many fanboy sites...etc...etc... And if you don't frequent that site, it's no big deal. But when someone posts a link to it on n4g, you are exposing the results to everyone and you are giving the full details.
The description of the article on n4g states:
Blu Ray won with 78% of the votes based on a poll on VGOA.com
Think about that. That's what everyone sees when they come to this site. There's nothing in th...
OMG ANOTHER ONLINE POLLZOR.... yea.... Do we really need to get into all the falacies with online polling? And since the site CURRENTLY (regardless of future plans) only has information regarding Sony consoles.... the poll is going to be greatly skewed in favor of Blu-Ray since the PS3 has a built in Blu-Ray player.
This is the worst piece of reporting and polling I have seen in a long time. A site that only has Sony information on it polling on an issue that is so polar...
Yea, I remembered hearing about it, but I wasn't sure it was available and I knew it was too expensive.
Until a combo drive because readily available for a few hundred dollars. 1000 is way too high to expect much support for it.
Seriously? Again?
Come on.... whether it is well thought out or not, the fact is, it's still speculation and opinion.
Either buy whatever format you want based on what each format offers you, buy a combo drive that plays both when they are available.... or wait til the dust cloud settles and then decide.
But stop bickering and moaning because some website posts their opinion on it.
Can I have the last few minutes of my life back? Seriously... that was poorly done.
It wasn't really that funny, and it was mostly uninteresting.
I almost spit up my drink when I read this title.
Seriously? You guys can't be serious. Wanting something to be exclusive? That's just ridiculous. Nobody will benefit from it being exclusive.
Stop championing 1 system, nobody cares which company you are a loyal fan of. Go where the games are. If you want Haze, you can have it on either system, so whether you have a PS3 or 360 you are set.
I'd rather all games came out for all systems, than ha...
Stop turning it into a platform war! This isn't about 360 vs PS3. It's about one game and whether or not it will live up to expectations for the 360/PS3/Wii Gen of gaming.
I agree. Thompson is an attention whore. All he is after is publicity and money.
If people stop responding to his obviously outrageous claims, he will go away. But as long as the community keeps reacting and responding to him, he will get publicity and he will get what he wants.
He's a bully. Bully go away if you ignore them.
The original xbox controller was crap and poor design. However the 360 controller is much better and definitely deserves to be mentioned. The integration of the xbox guide button, headset (and soon keypad attachment), and buttons in a position that makes sense all work to support their claim.
The Dreamcast controller was too bulky and just didn't have the same feel. Maybe it was the inspiration for the 360 controller, but if you hold each of them, you can clearly feel the di...
I've played the Japanese demo on the marketplace, and while it's not without its faults, it is still a fun game to play.
Maybe it won't appeal to everyone, maybe it's only going to appeal to a niche audience, but if you've liked past Tenchu games, you'll like this one.
The graphics weren't anything special, but they weren't bad. They were mediocre. But why should that be the only deciding factor? There's other things to this game that make it stand out.

Devs/Pubs are constantly promising to deliver downloadable content as a big push before the game hits the stores.
Of course, half the time the downloadable content is crap, and the other half is overpriced.
Bottom line: Don't believe everything you hear. Chances are it's alot of PR bullsh#t. And even if it does turn out to be true, chances are it won't live up to your expectations.
I did not enjoy single player. I'll have to try it with friends tonight.
At least it was free.
Serves everyone right for purchasing Crackdown only for Halo 3.
(for those that only purchased Crackdown for the H3 beta)
Again this is not an MMO.
And on the subject on paying to play MMO's..... Most major MMO's (World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, etc) cost roughly $15 a month to play. XBL is $4 a month. So even if they were to charge to play an MMO on the 360, assuming they only charge $10 or $11.... you aren't paying anymore than you would be if you played an MMO on the PC.
There was never any reason to think that Two Worlds would have a subcription fee. It's not an MMO with regu...
In the past previews they clearly stated 8 person multiplayer. I suggest searching IGN or other news sites for the exact article.
Further, beyond limitations on # of players at a time, it's not a persistant world. The world only exists for your room, your game.... your 30 minutes to how-ever-long one game session takes.
MMO's can be defined by the method in which games are hosted (on top of the shear volume of players in 1 world). They are hosted externally, i...
Really.... can't they just give it an "Adults Only" rating instead of mature?
Do they really have to do this "refuse to rate" bullsh#t?
All it has to do is be made region free and then anyone who wants it in any country where sales are banned can get it.
