Fault? Are you joking? Wake up people! All game companies, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo are all only interested in one thing... PROFIT.
It doesn't surprise me in the least that DLC would be stored on the disk.
It's not a Microsoft-only issue. Don't turn this into an "I hate Microsoft" party. Sony, Nintendo, EA, most developers and publishers are doing it. If they think they can make additional profit, they will do it.
Is it right? S...
Seriously.... if you are dumb enough to think you can get a PS3 for $700 right now, and the seller won't let you look at it.... you deserve to have your money taken.
If you like sim type games.... simcity, the sims, etc.... this is right up your alley. It's alot of fun. It has a childish feel to it with some dark undertones.
It may not appeal to many "hardcore" gamers... but its definitly an excellent addition to the 360 library of games.
No one here is going to sway someone one way or the other on which system is better or which they should get. We've all already made up our minds. We've had a year to think about it since the 360 came out, and weeks since the PS3.
Nothing but hype. That's all it ever is on launch. The more it gets hyped, the more people are disapointed, but the more people that buy it.
Sony hyped it up to drive sales. Simple as that. The more sales they get, the better thei...
Who are you to say the family or casual gamer is not a "real gamer"? What because it's not violent, or graphically amazing, or because someone doesn't play 50 hours a week they are worth the development community's time?
Get over yourself. So what if Nintendo focuses on families or children or less "hardcore" markets.... that doesn't make it not "for the gamer".
It is a very egocentric view on game development that you have if ...
Every Wii game I've seen in the stores has been $49.99 or less (I know Rampage was $29.99)
I haven't seen any higher than that. And considering 360 titles are $59.99 and they are constantly pushing "limited" editions for $69.99 and up.... I don't think anyone has any place to complain about the software costs for the Wii.
The Wii may also be $250... maybe that is too high... but it does come with a game (something neither competitor has done). The gam...
You don't think all 3 companies are using their name to sell their product? Come on, get real.... MS utilizes their dominance in the PC industry every chance they get. Everything they do screams buy me because I'm microsoft. Granted they haven't been in the console industry long, but its not a far jump from computer to console.
Nintendo may not have invested as much money into the Wii as MS or Sony have done, but that doesn't necessarily make their product crap, nor does i...
I don't think you'll ever see Goldeneye released to either system. I agree it would be too complicated of a mess.
The closest you are going to get is what they have going with Perfect Dark Zero.... re-releasing Goldeneye maps in the PDZ style. They released Facility and Temple(?) so far, and its likely they will do more.
Another useless comment.... Maybe you find it "gimmicky"... and my guess is, you don't own the system and if you've played it, it wasn't for long.
The system/controller is far from gimmicky. It is alot of fun. Maybe it's not up to par graphic-wise as some would like, but that doesn't make it trash.
Consider this..... The Wii is selling out. Its not because its a gimmicky system or a pile of trash. It's because it appeals to a broader range of perso...
I have to agree that it is a litle odd that you need a seperate adapter for PS1 & PS2 memory cards. Seems more like it was left out on purpose to generate more revenue.
But on the same note, the 360 didn't have any way of copying xbox (original) saves to the 360. But it also was touted as being 100% backwards compatible.
Heck I know I need to exercise more. I love the Wii because it allows me to get exercise while doing something I love. Gyms are boring to me. At least with the Wii I am having fun.
On the same note, at least with Wii Sports, its constantly reminding you to take breaks and to wear the wrist straps.
I'm sure there are warnings in the system manuals and in the game manuals.
You will likely see litigation related to it, but I'm sure it will no...
Uh, re-read the article man, not IGN, 1up.com.
I don't take 1up's reviews to be very impartial. However, a 2/10 is never a good sign for a game.
Just to give a comparison to quell the fanboy fights:
The 360 was released with 18 launch titles (within 1 month of launch). Based on IGN's reviews of these titles, the average score was 7.8.
The PS3 currently has 11 titles reviewed by IGN, with an average score of 7.78.
And...
Oh I agree. Sony used to be synonomous with quality and they've begun to falter in that aspect.
I used to be a fan of Sony, and I at one time owned a ps2, traded it in, and then bought another one later on again. Originally I was going to get a PS3, but I was convinced otherwise by friends.
While I think the PS3 is going to be a failure (in comparison to the PS2). I think Sony has lost alot of its support.
But judging from the pictures, I exp...
Duckman has made it clear that he has no understanding of the gaming industry whatsoever and is a fanboy.
Whether you like the system or not, whether you like the game or not, anyone posting needs to set aside their biases and attempt to post an accurate analysis of the article.
In my case, I have a 360, I will not be buying a PS3 (until it drops to the $200-$300 price range, if ever). I hate what Sony has done with the PS3 and I think it was a bad move on their...
First, this article has to do with graphic glitches in software. The 360 was mentioned as a correlation between problems at launch. It has everything to do with it.
You are right, it is not a tiny glitch. However, it is correctible, and it isn't known whether this has occurred on many copies of the game/system or if it is an isolated incident.
As for Gears of War, the texture loading problems do exist. Just because you haven't experienced them, doesn't mean t...
First, I have a launch 360 and haven't had any troubles with it (knock on wood). However, I know there were many people who did have problems.
Further, you can be sure the same kinds of problems with exist with the PS3 and there will be alot of launch returns/repairs.
However, the problem above is more related to the fact that Ridge Racer 7 was likely rushed to be released and not tested properly. It will be fixed with a patch. Does it suck? Sure.... but more ...
Speculating by looking at it.... it's probably about the same weight as the 360 unit including it's power supply. Maybe a little heavier because it is larger.
Wow. This is probably the first PS3 article I voted cool on :)
Regardless of my feelings on Sony and the PS3, that is one nice looking machine, inside and out.
Sorry, but everytime I see these lists it annoys me. I voted lame. The list is game played while signed into xbox live. So whether you are actually playing multiplayer or not, as long as you are signed into your live profile, it registers.
