@vergilxx3:
So I'm a 'fanboy' because I think not having Netflix on the Switch isn't a big deal? Okay then, lol.
As I said: there are several devices that the average person owns that already have support for Netflix. Goodness, even smart TVs have built-in Netflix apps. I understand why having it on the Switch would be CONVENIENT, but it's not a necessity. Wouldn't exactly be a very big selling point.
Stuff like...
It really isn't that big of a necessity. You typed this comment, which means you're already using something that has Netflix. It's not there yet because there are so many devices that already have it.
As the author, I'm not quite sure where your criticism is coming from.
I didn't need to mention what was in the update because that's been covered already. It's been days since the update was rolled out.
Secondly, you obviously didn't pay attention to what I said about the March release date. As stated in the article, it's likely Nintendo released the system in March to allow for early adopters to grab the system, thus allowing sto...
I have an Xbox One controller for my PC and updates have to be applied manually. Just saying....
"Do you know what good about GTSport? Sony allowed a 4-day access so gamers could find out for themselves, which is great and pretty much makes all reviews redundant."
"You can only review a game based on your own opinions"
I find it weird that you explained how reviews work while also trying to condemn them. Yes, reviews are OPINIONS; who would have guessed? Reviews are meant to provide general feedback on an item/service. While one p...
I honestly don't see much of a problem here. I write for another network of gaming media websites and this post doesn't bother me at all. It's a list of review scores from the Famitsu magazine, which is a well-known game-related publication. The people who visit sites like N4G, Nintendo Everything, and any other gaming media website are more than likely going to be gamers themselves, so they would know what Famitsu is.
Would the post have been ENHANCED by offer...
@moegooner88:
I didn't ignore it, I said I didn't pay attention to it, there's a difference. For instance, the game has stuttering/framerate issues on PC; it's not a constant problem, but it's still an issue that I thought was worth docking points for because it had a genuinely negative effect on my gameplay experience. The lootboxes were optional and avoidable. While I'm not a fan of them, they didn't get in the way as much as the stuttering iss...
A review copy was sent to me and I still gave it my honest score of an 8.5/10 on PC. I didn't really pay attention to the lootbox integration, but rather just focused on the core game: the racing mechanics, cars, and presentation. Looking at it from that perspective, I was pleased which is why I gave it that score.
My point is, reviewers, critique the game on an individual basis. These lower scores having nothing to do with a lack of honesty beforehand. If anything, it...
There were touchscreens before the DS. There were motion controllers before the Wii. There were VR headsets before the Rift, Vive and PSVR. None of these devices created the technology they utilized, but they did ENHANCE them to an extent where it could be enjoyed by the mainstream. That's what the Switch has done.
While not all of its concepts are totally brand-new, no other system has nailed the hybrid nature the same way the Switch has. Even going on Wikipedia, you...
This was the whole point of me writing this article; this is a multi-platform game and the Xbox Play Anywhere on PC functionality is only available via the digital edition. Glad to see someone gets the message.
Not sure why the community here is so sour against Forza. Doesn't take away anything from GT Sport. The toxicity on this site never ceases to amaze me.
Finally, someone gets the point!
So many people obviously in this comment section obviously not reading the article. Oh well.
I see some folks saying that this "isn't a big deal"/"this doesn't mean much".
I'm pretty sure if this headline read that Nintendo was doing financially worse than Sony, the reaction would be a whole lot different. Stop trying to fish for faults, people. Understand this: if all the companies are doing well that only means good things for the ENTIRE industry. Yeesh, get a grip.
You ignored what I said.
The sales data from this chart only displays info gathered from physical copies on Xbox One in the UK. Since MS7 is a digital-only Play Anywhere title, it would seem logical to conclude that digital sales would be higher since it's effectively a dual-platform release instead of a single platform release.
N4G really doesn't like anything PlayStation-related. You guys crack me up, lol.
So many folks are quick to jump on this without reviewing the circumstances.
1.) The sales data from this chart deals only with physical copies.
2.) Unlike Forza MS6, MS7 is a Play Anywhere title that's only avaliable in that form digitally. That means digital sales have likely increased due to the game effectively being a cross-platform release on PC and Xbox One.
I'm not trying to defend the game directly here, but these factors need to...
It's one of the promotional images.
Gotta disagree with you there in every aspect except for the inclusion of the lootboxes. The game has gotten stellar reviews thus far (I gave it an 8.5/10 for my review of the PC version). It's been out for less than two weeks, so it's far too early to determine sales numbers. But, it does have a higher chance to do better than Forza Motorsport 6 since it's now a full release on PC in addition to Xbox One.
Ah, the way you worded your initial response made it seem like you didn't see an issue with it. My apologies, I misinterpreted what you meant.
So you support these money-hungry practices? You're probably the first I've seen...
@yomfweeee:
It makes no sense to you because you're not trying to grasp the sense of it.
The only way Nintendo could have avoided stock issues is if they produced 100 million units before launch. Since you don't seem to know how the manufacturing process works, doing something like that would not have been possible. Besides, the company already stated that the initial launch of the system had much greater demand than expected, which caused product...
