1.) Nintendo itself has acknowledged it's not for everyone and isn't trying to push it as such.
2.) If you don't like it, then don't buy it.
3.) This is a side project; not the entire future of the Switch or the company.
- The quote was taken from an article about the Forza Horizon 3 Xbox One X update that was published on the official Xbox News website.
- The entire article was about Forza
- It was written by the Forza Community Manager that regularly posts on the official Forza Motorsport website
- Since the series is annual, it's only natural that the next iteration would be well into development by now
If those factors don't clearly show that this is r...
Emulation and piracy are different, but the majority of folks will use it for piracy if they are able to. Emulators aren't illegal, but the reason why companies are so iffy about it is because it allows people to gain access to their systems without purchasing the hardware or games, in most cases at least. The reality is that when offered the option between buying and simply downloading, quite a number of folks choose to download instead, looking for any reason to justify it.
...
Of course it's to be expected since the series has been annual for quite some time now, but it's still interesting nonetheless.
I discussed two projects in the article: one is a hardware mod, and the other is a softmod - the Homebrew Launcher.
Who's shilling for Nintendo here? The website may be called Nintendo Enthusiast but that's just a name. Did you actually read the article? Not a single sentence carries the tone: "Think of poor Nintendo! Oh no, what a shame!" The actual point is, a console getting hacked opens up business complications that affect not just the parent company, but the user base as well. If anything, the only "shilling" that's going on is for fellow gamers.

As someone on the article's website said, every last game console out there has "hidden costs". When buying the Switch, the only thing that's 100% necessary is a game. That can be anything, even a cheap indie title. Only SPECIFIC games currently require a microSD card, not every title, and certainly not the majority. When Switch Online is released fully, then paying for it will become a necessity, but then that's also no different from PSN/XBL so it's not like the Sw...
I can see from your comment that you read only the title and not the actual article. Before you try and criticize, maybe actually try and find real points to criticitize instead of your own assumptions.
You are kidding, right? This is a troll, right? Has to be, because that was an incredibly exaggerated comment. The Switch is more powerful than the PS3, 360 and Wii U, which were all HD-capable systems. The issue that the Switch runs into is that it has a tablet body with mobile components. Gaming laptop owners know how hard it is to squeeze performance out of machines with small chassis, the same thing applies here however it's even more constrained because of its incredibly tiny size. ...
Good to see someone on this site use logic. :)
And you should have continued:
"The difference between the two is that a poor review is basically one that’s very shallow; where it’s clear the reviewer didn’t really spend much time with the product (game) in question and more-or-less formulated their views from just a rushed experience. On top of that, a review could be poorly/lazily-constructed.&quo t;
It makes no sense to criticize an article unless you read it in full.
No specific laptop is mentioned in the article. On top of that, if you read the last paragraph of the article, you'd really see why a comment like this doesn't make sense. But let's be real, you obviously didn't read the article at all, so your criticism of calling it "stupid" is 100% invalid. Try again, bud.
Why does it bother you so much that the Switch is also considered to be a home console on top of being a portable? It's a hybrid system, the story ends there. Nintendo itself treats it and describes it as being a home console first.
The Switch replaced the Wii U, not the 3DS. The Switch is getting games that are also on PS4/XBO , while the 3DS is mostly getting games of its own alongside the occasional multiplatform title with Vita. There's a difference for a reason...
@GodMars290
Wasn't a very mobile system, but neither has it ever been classified as a home console. That's why the Wii U is considered to be the lowest-performing Nintendo home console; before that, it was the Gamecube.
Still think it's pretty amazing how Nintendo went from being everyone's punching bag for the past four years to now being the popular thing to praise, lol.
But seriously, the Switch is a very good system. Being able to cram the power of a home console into such a small form factor, that still blows my mind. And before you say: "But didn't the PSP/Vita do that?" The PSP had about the same amount of power of the PS2, so anything that came to it that was...
I stated this right in the article, lol.
@fenome:
Excuse me? When did I call anyone out for commenting except for those who try and refute an article they didn't read? Get your eyes checked, bud. You tried to put me down but your point is 100% invalid. Next excuse.
HOME system. The Virtual Boy is not a home console. And if you think that's not right, just take a glance at this:

@Godmars290:
I've seen bad articles submitted here, but that doesn't apply to every article, as you said. On top of that, simply reading a headline and then commenting solely on that doesn't make sense. I've seen people SO MANY TIMES try and refute points and bring up arguments against an article, and yet, there are lines within the article itself that explain the writer's viewpoint which the commenters totally missed because they didn't even read th...
Cool. You don't have to buy it.
