"Why are gamers ultimately to blame if most don't buy them?"
MTs have generated millions of dollars. So, it definitely isn't accurate to say "most don't buy them".
And my point was that the circumstances surrounding both systems weren't really the same. The Nomad was a Genesis shrunk down into a portable form factor. The Switch is a complete hybrid, functioning as both a home console and a handheld with its own library.
You clearly didn't read the article.
Similar concept, but it certainly wasn't nearly as refined as the Switch is now. Not to mention it was a financial flop, so that doesn't help its case either. On top of that, the Nomad was meant to be a portable Genesis, not its own system like the Switch is and it was also only ever released in North America.
That's very true.
This article isn't a hit-piece on Nintendo or the Switch. In fact, I wrote it to explain why certain corners were cut and how they can all be improved in the future when prices are better.
That's true! Although SegaNet didn't take off the same way Xbox Live did. I'll add that blurb into the article, though. Thanks!
@InTheZoneAC:
The only thing you said is that you wanted a "normal controller that's comfortable to hold". That statement suggests that there isn't an option available. You never said you wanted said controller bundled with the system. Wording is important, my friend.
You bring up the Switch's price, yet it still costs less than what the PS4 and Xbox One launched at, keep that in mind. Also, the Joy-Cons are uncomfortable FOR YOU, bu...
About $20 more than a regular DualShock 4 or Xbox One Controller. Although, some of the colored versions of those controllers do cost nearly the same as the Joy Con. Also, keep in mind that Joy-Con can be purchased one at a time instead of in a pair.
Which is why the Pro Controller is also an option.
Boom, problem solved.
The Forza titles are racing games, so getting out of the vehicle isn't all that necessary. Those games are built offer the sensation of speed, whereas simulators like ATS and ETS are far more slower-paced and fall into the category of 'proper driving games'. Seeing that they're simulators, I mentioned how it would be nice to have more interaction with the game world other than just driving. Such as hopping out and filling up the gas tank of the trucks, for instance.

If you read the article fully, you'd see that despite my small gripes with these titles, I enjoy them nonetheless. I wrote this article just to discuss the things that I PERSONALLY am not to happy with and wish to be improved. You can consider it 'nitpicking' if you want, but these are just my thoughts.
It's just an interesting story. What's wrong with that?
You know, I've never been able to understand the mindset of a troll. Like, what possible benefit could ever come from incessantly whining about a company that you appear to 'hate' on the Internet? Like, what does it change? What significance does your argument hold? Do you hope that by doing this, it will spur whoever reads your comment to also hate Nintendo? Do you intend to build an army of Nintendo haters that will stop supporting the company and cause financial ruin?

They closed the development studio that was responsible for making the Flight Simulator series (it was called ACES) all the way back in 2009. On top of that, they handed over the rights to Dovetail Games who is now making Flight Sim World. I mentioned this in the article.
Basically, I don't think the official MS-made Flight Simulator will ever return.
This is just an opinion piece.
Just remember that by refusing to update you won't have any access to the servers. I see no benefit in trying to get classic games on a system when there are already so many other devices that do this...
Nintendo did a survey of Switch players in the US and found that the majority are actually adult males aged 25-34.

You don't have to keep insisting that the PS4 and Xbox One are the "manlier" systems, lol. Those consoles appeal to a wide array of different demographics, and even the Switch has found it...
Super Mario Maker had level-sharing and leaderboards on Wii U, so I think it's safe to say that if this were to release today, it would be fine on Switch.
A "man-child" would be someone who's an incredibly immature adult. Someone who's a "child at heart" typically refers to a person who has child-like wonders and tastes. For instance, the type of people who enjoy stuff like Pixar movies just as much as a kid does. There's nothing wrong with that at all.
Nice try, but don't try and criticize with a generalization.
These are called opinion pieces for a reason. Saying that someone "should" do something is a suggestion. As in, "it would be nice if this person/this entity did such-and-such a thing". Resorting to calling a writer "delusional" just because you don't agree with the premise is simply rude and uncalled for.
Also, it is true that Nintendo sticks to its own path; it always has. Sometimes this works, like the Wii, and sometimes it doesn't, ...
