You do know what's actually sad? That you insist on policing various Nintendo articles when you consistently make it very clear that you have some kind of animosity built up towards the company. Get a life, my brother! Why bother wasting time bashing on Nintendo and anyone who speaks positively of them? If you don't like the company and/or the Switch, go flock to discussions about the other platforms.
The toxicity of the majority of the N4G community isn't just...
There's a reason why they're called "Nintendo DIRECTS"—they get the information DIRECTLY out to the audience. Because it's not a live stage show, there's no applause, no game crashes, no long-winded monologues, no hardware malfunctions, no glitchy demos; basically there's little-to-no fluff and a very small margin of error.
If every single company did this, chances are their conferences would be of a similar length. Nintendo has saved all of th...
Cartridges were remarkably more expensive than disks back in the days of the N64, but things have changed now. Not only can they hold just as much as disks (look at the capacity of high-end microSD cards), but the price difference between them and a disk is much smaller than before.
Discounts on games are really up to the retailer. As for the eShop, most digital storefronts aside from Steam tend to keep prices high for longer periods of time for some odd reason.
Yes, it's on the Windows Store. You can also get to the buy page straight from the game itself.
They transported Switch units by airfreight, which is the most expensive form of transportation. That qualifies "best efforts", seeing that it cost the company more money. They wanted to get units out ASAP.
So do you have the same argument against any pro-Sony sites that talk about the PS4? I wonder...
Next time, try going against the unwritten rule of N4G and actually READ THE ARTICLE AND NOT JUST THE TITLE before commenting.
I get what you're saying, but if you read the article you'd see the that the point that I'm trying to make is, where's the "good" in any of that? Why is it that some people love destroying the lives of others?
Hi, I'm the author. I'm actually only 18 years old. Everybody is free to have an opinion, regardless of whether you agree with it or not.
It's not a "misconception", it's the official description. Nintendo introduced the Switch as a "home gaming system that can be taken on-the-go." It's the world's first HYBRID console: the power of a home console in the form factor of a portable unit. Just as a laptop provide desktop-like power while being portable, the Switch provides console-like power while being small enough to fit in a bag.
You could play your Game Boy games on the TV...
Not everything needs to be about fights and weaponry. It's a semi-realistic racing game, just leave it at that.
There hasn't been a decent standalone Hot Wheels game in eons, so while this was unexpected, it's definitely appreciated.
This look great! Guess Trackmania has a direct competitor now, lol.
Think about it like addictions: smoking and drinking, for example. Smoking one cigarette doesn't turn you into a smoker. Drinking one beer doesn't turn you into an alcoholic. It's a gradual process that's fueled by multiple doses over the course of an extended period of time. Likewise, the more someone plays violent and gory video games, the more used to it they become.
I mean, think of the people today who whip out their phones to record horrific events lik...
Playing a violent video game doesn't turn you into a serial killer (unless you have a serious mental illness to begin with), but it does desensitize you. Humans are like sponges, we absorb everything around us. Games are interactive, which makes it all the more easier for the mind to suck in what's going on; that's why they're so engaging in the first place.
Just think about it—kids that watch shows like DBZ, Naruto, TMNT, etc...don't you always see them...
"Portable can't have the same power like a home console". And yet, the Switch is running games better than the Wii U can, all while being incredibly smaller.
Not all of the Switch's games are ports. Original titles like Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Oddyssey are coming later this year. On top of that, multi-plat games like Snake Pass and LEGO City Undercover on Switch look very similar to that of the PS4/XBO versions.
Finally, there are rea...
It's battery life is on-par with the Vita and 3DS, while running MUCH higher-fidelity games. Name any phone or tablet that can play intensive games for multiple hours without needing to be plugged in. What about gaming laptops? They tend to last 2-3 hours at most.
Most expensive console? Excuse me, what?
The PS4 Pro is currently $100 more. The Scorpio will likely be even higher than that.
This is not a widespread issue. All new devices have defective units; it's just an unfortunate fact of life. Now if this was as bad as the RROD situation, then yeah it would be worth making noise over, but this isn't that.
Actually, no.
They took the advice of a third-party instead of just sticking to doing their own thing like they did with the Wii and Wii U.
Yeesh, you folks will always look for a way to put a negative spin on any good news.
Your obvious trolling is a bit too obvious lol.
Within the past week, two games have already been confirmed to feature cross-play: Minecraft and Rocket League. True, neither of those need a nuclear reactor to power them, but they have online communities made up of millions of players, so this is a pretty big step forward.
