I agree with Morgan and Samoon. I didn't hate the new Cole, but I also wasn't a big fan of it. To me, it just didn't seem to make sense to change him completely, and still call the character by the same name. Had it been someone different, I doubt people would have minded as much, but changing an already established character to fit a certain demographic seemed... well wrong. It also didn't make sense to redesign a character that much when over one million people purchased the...
I probably wouldn't care so much if it was actually complete additional content, and not stuff that should have been on the disc already as part of a fully finished product. I only say this because we've already been subject to poor treatment in the last Assassin's Creed, as well as Prince of Persia's "Epilogue" content, and I'm sure even more games I can't think of off the top of my head. Between things like this, the horrendous customer service (really, it&...
Yeah I thought it might be something like that, but I was not running any plug-ins beyond the base essentials. I had even tried it on two different PC's, both with the same result. I even disabled my IP Blocker, but no difference. And considering I placed orders through Newegg and other sites earlier in the day it leads me to believe that it's Ubisoft's fault on this. Their site just seems to be poorly scripted, as I even had trouble just getting logged in to my account with them....
I have no idea what the geniuses over at Ubisoft are doing, but they've fixed it now... sort of. I called them to see if I could get the price they were advertising with the pre-order, and they were no help at all. I couldn't even get a word out edge-wise, they were just telling me that "we don't give out information on a game before release"... what does that even have to do with my problems pre-ordering? I have no idea, but they were no help.
Well anyw...
As awesome as this deal is, it doesn't seem to be active now. I was just over on Ubi's website trying to get the deal, and when you add it to your cart it shows up as $14.99, not $9.99. Earlier it was marked as $9.99 and some people got it at that price, but they ended up changing it even though the price tag still said $9.99. Now it all seems to be at $14.99. But regardless, apparently you can also use the coupon code THANKS10 to get another $1.00 off.
Actually I'm pretty sure he will be providing the voice for the Joker in DCUO. I believe that he said he will be retiring the voice after Arkham Asylum 2 which doesn't look like it will release until next year sometime. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that's how it's going to work. Which is great news for this game, because there has never been a better Joker voice-over actor than him, in my opinion at least.
I didn't know a thing about this game until this article. Many thanks to the writer, because this game definitely grabs my interest, and a lot of the aspects look very fun.
Yeah the original Deus Ex is a pretty spectacular and amazing game (it's also where I ganked my avatar from). It was basically one of the very first FPS/RPG combo games ever made. The sheer fact of the matter, was that every aspect of the game was amazing. Some might say it was the "Uncharted 2" of ten years ago. And interestingly enough, prior to Uncharted 2's release, I'm pretty sure that Deus Ex held the title of "most GOTY awards". And in many ways, rightfu...
Actually Raztad, I'm pretty sure I read that Dark_Alex ended up moving over to one of the new groups releasing custom firmwares, I think they're known as M33. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that's what I had read. But that aside, I've never been a fan of Geohot at all. Not because of what he does, but because of his arrogance and his general attitude. But if Sony sees potential, and if he actually is offered a position, I suppose we'll have to wait and see what it ...
Yeah, I believe it is the voice actor for Quark from Ratchet & Clank! Very cool stuff. Also, I'm loving this game. I've been playing the demo for the past little while, and it's definitely convinced me to give it a buy. I've been wondering if this will get a discount for PS+ members anytime soon, but I think I'll get it anyway tonight.
Sadly, I have to agree there. I was very excited for Brutal Legend. I mean, an open-world/Platformer/RPG game all about metal, and coming from the legendary Tim Shaffer, it seemed like a perfect combination. Now it could have been due to Activision's attempts to change the game while the studio was working under them, and/or having to do with the game getting dropped and passing hands to EA, but regardless you can tell that the game missed it's mark in a bunch of key areas.

Thanks for the link man. Due to being able to see them much closer, I noticed in there that Cole's hair is actually much shorter in some pictures as compared to others. I might be late to this info and people may have already realized this, but if I'm not, then I'm posing the theory that you will actually see Cole go through a lot the changes that makes him look different. Very interesting, and this could prove to be the segue-way that people will want to see in order to be happy ...
You know after reading this I get a much better insight as to why they chose this, although I still would have preferred the original Cole. I myself am an audio engineer/audio designer, and I've also done a bit of voice acting, so I can understand where the issue would lay with this. I did really enjoy the original Cole, and I really would have liked at least his voice actor to remain the same, but I understand why they made the change. Regardless, I am still stoked for the game.
I don't mind the Answer X Answer mini game being cut, but the others I really do want left in. I definitely want Mahjong and Shogi to make it, as well as the rest of the side-missions and mini games. I understand that there are a few things like the trivia that just wouldn't work out, but people buying into the series generally understand that it's a game focused in Japan and people want to get into the culture of it.
Even as a huge fan of the original RE titles, I actually really enjoyed RE4 as well, and I felt that it still had enough of that "fear" aspect. Playing the first time through, trying to take out the dude with the chainsaw, or for that matter, the leviathan boss, that was massively creepy. And yeah, I was definitely a fan of Leon.
Regardless, I think everyone pretty much agrees that RE5 was missing all the things that made RE4 a likable and fun re-invention of the RE...
Woah, didn't see this one coming. I went over to the site, and after a small bit of loading, its showing 36 separate animated gifs of things being cut. After that, it's tough to imagine that this isn't at least possibly related to a Director's Cut.
Hands down, my top request is to see "Sword of the Berserk", since I'm a hardcore Berserk fan. Though I think it'll be a while if we ever do get to see that one. Obviously, there are some games that are almost assuredly coming, like both Shenmue games (which will be cool). And Skies of Arcadia will probably be on the list as well (also very cool). Another one that would be a lot of fun to play again, but could prove tough to work out is Resident Evil: Code Veronica. And I th...
Yeah I read the article as well, and I don't agree with the author of the article. As Antikythera said, it's all speculation, some of which I can understand and possibly agree with, but some of it doesn't make any sense. Mostly I don't agree with the verdict. His final reasoning for these shots being mock-ups is that Eidos Montreal isn't far enough along in development, which isn't true in the least. DX3 has been in the works for years now (since around or before mid 2...
What?!? YES! A thousand times yes! Most awesome news! I'm really glad that Sega acknowledged the fan base in the west! I can't wait for this! Lets all cross our fingers that Sega doesn't exclude anything. A dub wouldn't be bad with good voice actors, but in that situation as long as they have the original Japanese track with English subtitles as an option then no one will be unhappy. No matter what this is excellent news and I couldn't be happier!
This is definitely getting my pre-order. I'll be a really happy camper if they include Mahjong and Shogi this time around. As it was, Yakuza 3 had a ton of content, but I was sad to not have those games available. As for Yakuza 4, I've played through the Japanese demo of this many times since it was released on the JP PSN store (Wish I could understand Japanese a little better! As of right now, I can barely understand anything in the 15 minute cutscene, heh). One thing I'd suggest...
