Yeah I noticed that too. I haven't checked back since yesterday, but it did seem to be missing. Oddly I haven't found anything else online about that either. The other packs like the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Monster packs are there, but MGS seems to be missing.

And touching on the topic everyone seems to be bringing up about remakes and all, there's also something else to be noted when discussing this, which are works that were inspired by prior games. I&#...

Syndicate and Syndicate Wars were both awesome games. I definitely agree that these should see some sort of revival. Anyone with a PC or laptop newer than the 1998-99 range should be able to run these classics flawlessly. You might need DosBox in order to play them however, but that's free, and not too complicated to set up.

Yeah it's like BCR and RisingDragon said, they were only the original games (PS1 version of MGS, the Substance version of MGS2, and the Subsistance version of MGS3) in that Trilogy collection, and none of them were changed for that release. The downside to that pack also is that they didn't include the second disc for the Substance or Subsistance (actually I can't remember if Substance had a second disc or not), which means that you don't get some of the really good extras.

This would be very interesting if it proves to be true. I say this because if you look back about two months or so ago, there was an article posted on a site that was claiming they had an interview with a Sony associate, and in the article where they were discussing backward compatibility and issues pertaining to that (which ultimately lead to the discussion of the HD collections), the Sony rep mentioned something along the lines of "...fans will be really interested in what they're ...

After grabbing Sam and Max season three and the Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People season one, I'm definitely looking forward to the next release for each of them. Jurassic Park looks really interesting, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they approach that one. Considering Telltale's main focus on adventure games seems to be comedy-based (aside from the CSI titles), Jurassic Park will be an interesting break away that, and I'm hoping it works out well.

I definitely agree with you bud. And yeah, I was one of the unfortunate ones that ran into a couple of those jumping glitches, as well as a few other strange/annoying bugs. It's really unfortunate that they went down this path for the game, cause I was definitely looking forward to it, and was really hoping for something that would be amazing, or at the least would be a lot of fun. And your pricing choices there are spot-on. At a full $60, most people are going to feel very ripped off and...

The thing you have to understand dannybohy, is unlike any FPS, TPS, or most other online games, MMOs are sporting a very different structure. I once felt the same way that you did about MMO fees, and that's why I avoided them. However I eventually was convinced to give it a try on a few different MMOs, and I figured that in a worst case scenario I'd be out an extra $15 for one month. I realized, that the pay structure (while annoying and very unlikable), actually isn't all that ba...

Very precise review, and I definitely felt the same way when I played through it. I wrote a review of this myself for some friends on my clan's forum, though I was a little harsher with the score and critiquing. There are some areas I'd like to mention with this as well... jittery camera movements, completely inconsistent framerate issues with many dropped frames, unresponsive controls, and certain areas where the game simply is "broken" (these sometimes occur with the "...

You know, you're right, I missed the general score down bottom for the game (and since it's stated in the header that they gave the game 2/5, I admittedly wasn't really looking for it, just reading parts of the article), and I wasn't aware of the site's focus on co-op experiences. I only skimmed through the article (which I usually will read all of, but didn't this time), and I didn't catch that they gave it multiple scores, so that is my fault. My apologies.

Ah really? I had no idea. I just assumed that it was the same guy, since they sound nearly identical. Thanks for the info.

I definitely concur with you and FrankMcSpank above, this game was a ton of fun, and a very different. It was a refreshing change of pace compared to many other downloadable titles available. I like the light-hearted comedy, and the fact that it's voiced by the same voice actor who plays Captain Quark on the Ratchet and Clank games makes it even better. The first Deathspank won me over with the demo, so this one was a first day purchase regardless. And even though the co-op is sort of jus...

I definitely recommend it egidem, even with the content that got cut during localization it's still longer and much more fun than most games out there. And as Thanatos said, you don't need to have played the prior Yakuza games, as they will go over a very thorough re-cap of what happened in the first two Yakuza games.

If you even relatively enjoy or are interested in Japanese culture, you'll most likely dig these games. It's like a mix of Action, Beatem-up, R...

Yeah, you're right on that one. For some reason I thought when you fought him that the game would prevent you from doing other things. Sorry for that blunder.

Also another small tip for new players, I found that after beating the archdemon in the final area of the fourth world, you can farm tons of souls from the flying enemies there, and you should very easily acquire a mass amount from that as long as you have a half decent bow. It's an easy way to quickly get your ...

It's like Focker said really. You have to very carefully time your movements, move up in segments, and then when you finally get underneath him, if you move out just a enough so he can't hit you, but you can lock onto him, just start firing arrows. Within about 5-10 minutes he'll be dead, and you get the Blue Dragon's soul. Also, if you want to be a little extra safe moving up the steps, I believe using the water spell will help lessen the damage you take if you do get hit. ...

No problem at all bud. The common problem with the reviews I think, were that most of the reviewers believed they could start out being tough as nails, and many of them haven't actually fought at all before. Because of this, they assumed certain things didn't work, or they didn't really explore the game fully. You definitely need to make sure your PS Eye is setup in a good position, however once that's done, you should have very accurate movement.

I will defin...

@masterchef, that's partially correct. The game begins pretty accurate and completely able for your arm and head movement to be tracked normally, however you won't be as accurate, be able to make every punch hit, or move as fast in general as later on in the game when you level up some stats. Even after your first few upgrades, you'll definitely notice a difference in reaction times and everything else.

I have to say that after some hands-on time with the game, I...

Seriously, I played through and beat this in one single night, and I was pretty disappointed overall, which is a shame because I was really looking forward to this.

The most obvious problems... the camera needed serious refinement as it's very jittery and can be problematic (horrid unchangeable camera angles in some areas), the story wasn't even up to decent B-movie horror standards (this is my opinion, but especially the weak ending they left you with irritated me),...

@jdq7pr, I actually just rented The Fight: Lights Out today. I've played for a couple hours and it's actually pretty intense and fun. I'm sort of surprised at the reviews for this, because it is in no way a bad game, and the reviewers were making it out to sound very poor. So far I couldn't disagree more with them. It's a lot of fun, and actually a decent exercise. I don't know that I would drop $40 USD on it, but for $20 or maybe even $30, I'd definitely consider ...

Seriously, just going off of Demons Souls' track record should give them an idea of much RPG enthusiasts truly want more titles of that style over here, and that localizing wouldn't end up being a money-sink. Demons Souls netted them a mass amount more than what was projected even on the high end. Even if they only provided subtitles instead of full English dubbings, I think this would be a very successful move for them.
