I completely agree. I've had experience with both services, and while they both have benefits and downfalls, I've found that I more prefer Blockbuster in most scenarios. I do hope they stay in business for this reason. With Gamefly, you have the benefit of a huge selection of titles (I believe almost every game that gets released they will get in stock, or at least that's what I've noticed), but you have the downfall of waiting times, which can take a minimum of a week. With B...

MidnytRain, I highly suggest checking out the original Deus Ex to get a feel for the game. And even though this is going to be a prequel to the original, if you play through the original Deus Ex you'll still understand what's happening in Human Revolution more thoroughly.

I love a lot of games, but I think Deus Ex might be my favorite game out there. As to what it's like, it's significantly different from Alpha Protocol in many ways, but it shares a couple sma...

While those were some good choices, there were definitely a few that I felt they excluded which any one of them could have easily been top 10 material, such as "The Nameless Mod" for Deus Ex, "Day of Defeat" (aka DoD) for Half Life, "Pirates, Vikings, & Knights" for both Half Life 1 and 2, "Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul" for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, or the recently released full conversion mod for Oblivion "Nehrim". Still not a ba...

Dsynder, I don't think that's completely accurate. For $5 you can get the unlock key in Rock Band, which allows you to import all the songs from Rock Band 1 into Rock Band 2, and the same will be capable for Rock Band 3. Any DLC tracks you've gotten also transfer over fine. I used to enjoy the GH franchise, but over the iterations I started noticing a decrease in quality. I stopped enjoying it entirely when World Tour was released, and the fact that none of the GH3 songs or downlo...

@Forbidden_Darkness, I have Sacred 2 and I would recommend it if you can get it pretty cheap. It's not a bad game by any means, but it has some flaws here and there. It has online and offline co-op (2 player local, 4 players online) which is pretty sweet. The gameplay is similar to games like Diablo, but you can get mounts in this which make travel a lot easier. The game also has Blind Guardian in it, and they created a whole original song paired with a music video just for the game, whic...

Well, basically if you buy Deathspank:TOV within the first week it's available, you get both of the DLC pieces for it for free (the Snowy Moutain Dungeon and a new playable co-op character called Tankko, who apparently is a half-man half-spider with a lot of different abilities than the wizard dude).

Corrwin, while I do agree with some of what you said, I don't completely agree with a few things. One thing I would note, is that I don't necessarily believe that the DLC situation will happen. Yakuza 3 had a bunch of DLC and that all was bundled together on the disc for the release we got here, which leads me to believe that they will bundle the DLC together for us again.

Second though, I think that this admission of their fault could be a positive thing. I too was ...

Definitely agree with the Hitman Collection (would love to see the first game ported to consoles and touched up as well). My personal favorites I would also like to see: Final Fantasy X & FXII, GTA: Vice City, Jak & Daxter series, Ratchet & Clank series, Dark Cloud series, Onimusha series, RE: Code Veronica & RE4, Metal Gear Solid series, and maybe Kingdom Hearts as well.

I completely agree. I highly doubt that we will see DC Universe ending up on a list like this anytime soon. DC Universe is looking to be really impressive, fairly deep, very polished, and a lot of fun. I have a pretty decent size group of friends who are all getting into it once it launches.

The saddest one on the list for me was definitely Tabula Rasa. I was really hyped for that game, and I had a blast messing around in the beta for it. It did a lot of really original and ...

I've actually been more a fan of the Yakuza series. I still like playing my Dreamcast, and I have it hooked up with Shenmue and a lot of the other classic DC titles right next to it (Sword of the Bersek FTW!), but since it's release I have enjoyed the Yakuza series more on nearly all fronts. Now that's just my opinion, but I have to say, I like Kazuma as a main character more than nearly any other protagonist I've played as before, and characters like Majima provide awesome su...

Holy crap, that was awesome! I am nearly sold on this just due to the guys involved, but the trailer was quite epic. Suda, Mikami, and Yamoaka all working together? I mean, we heard rumors of their project up till now, and that's a dream team if I ever heard one, but the game really looks to be top-notch awesomeness. Heck, all you need to do is toss Kojima in and it'd be instant gamergasm from the sheer mention of the project. And no, I don't know what a gamergasm is, but they wou...

@Game-Ur I'm a fan of WKC as well. It's a pretty solid JRPG that just got a ton of flack from reviewers without merit. Admittedly it does have some flaws, but the game is actually a lot of fun and has a deep online component which makes it very worthwhile. Actually, in the majority of the reviews, they didn't even touch the online component (which could explain a lot).

The single player portion isn't bad, but they could have used a little more work on it'...

That's exactly what I've been thinking man! And I'm pretty sure a lot of other people feel the same. I've been really hoping/looking forward to a game like Demons Souls or maybe one of the "Tales of" games with Move compatibility, where it would fully track your arm movements. I've seen some people say that a Action/RPG game with Move wouldn't work, because dozens of hours spent fighting like that would tire your arm out, but I really don't think that is ...

Hahaha, I've been doing the same thing Scar. I mean, I discovered the jump attack on accident because I was so proud of knocking a dude down, that I started jumping up and aiming the Move controllers into the ground, screaming "Finish Him!!! Execution!!!!". To my dismay, I could not execute my opponents, haha.

But yeah, I've been really enjoying the games on there, and like you said, the only actual downside I can think of, is that there is no online compone...

I was a huge fan of the Megaman Legends series, and I still own my original copies of the first two games, and every now and then I go back to play them and still can find a couple new things I missed in my earlier play-throughs. Although I am not sure if anyone remembers it, but at the time of their release the games got completely smashed by critics and reviewers, which I felt was completely inaccurate. I was even questioned by several EB employees, asking why I wanted to buy it and suggest...

Actually, I really don't think that is generally how it works Shady. If you've checked out the numerous articles about Move implementation into currently released games and upcoming games, it's been stated by almost everyone that it's a very simple process that usually takes only around a month to do, during which time they can still be focused on other things.

And if you look at games like Gran Turismo 5, Infamous 2, and Killzone 3 are all getting Move suppo...

Yeah, the majority of games that are getting updated for Move compatibility are just getting free patches instead of having to re-buy the games, which is really awesome. But of course, Capcom have been on a role with not listening to their fans and screwing their customers over, so why stop now? In short, you only get the patch if you have the actual Gold Edition of RE5 (even if you already bought all the DLC for an original edition), but at least they aren't charging for the patch. I hea...
