I completely agree man, and it's for those same reasons that I canceled my subscription with Gamefly. I initially subscribed because I really wanted to try Sacred 2, Cross Edge, and a few other obscure games that they had listed (all of which the Blockbuster's in my area weren't carrying and didn't plan on it anytime in the future).

After pretty thoroughly reviewing GF's services contract, I agreed and signed up. Though I must have missed the portion that more thoroughly explain...

Very cool info there man. But if it is going to be this, I thought Holy Invasion Of Privacy Badman was already released in NA though on the PSN for PSP? Unless it's a new entry in the series, or something along those lines. Oh well, much appreciated on that info though.

This is kind of interesting. I'm not sure if the site it sends you to is entirely random. It seems to have a set list of sites. Could it be trying to hint at the game? I've so far gotten multiple sites related to mining (digging, excavation, and archeology tools), a couple more on Japanese ecology/plants/mushrooms, a few on what seems to be Feudal Japanese structures and buildings, and some on different mythologies (specifically a wikipedia page on Lilith, and more). I have no idea how to pie...

Both of the No One Lives Forever games were set close to that time period as well. Roughly late 1960's, FPS/Spy-adventure with a slight touch of RPG, and those games were awesome. I think Agent has the potential to be really amazing, both because of the team working on it, and the premise of the game (especially because they are trying something outside their normal genres), and overall I look forward to seeing more from it. Right now though, no one can really say anything for certain since w...

@Carnage, very cool man. I built this rig here about a year and a half ago for high-end gaming and sound design purposes. Prior to that, I've built a new rig for myself every few years to keep updated. I've been a long time PC gamer, and can make some recommendations for you (both newer and old), in case you are interested or haven't gotten a chance to play these before.

Starting out, I would say The Witcher is a pretty cool game, combining action and RPG elements into a pretty ...

I've tried the mana potions from thinkgeek (which I believe are either the same as this or at least very similar), and it was an all around let down. When they were shipped, the seals and caps were broken on several bottles. I called thinkgeek, they shipped another order complimentary, but the same problem. After a 3rd time with the same problem (and they shipped well packaged), it seemed to me that they were just poorly made. That aside, the ones that were in good condition, well it was like...

Interesting stuff. While a lot is still speculation at this point, the most interesting part from this article (in my opinion) was the last bit that Jay said,

"I don’t want to close the door on bringing back classes from Diablo or Diablo 2; I just don’t want to do so with the initial release of Diablo 3. In Diablo 3, all of the classes should do something completely new. Then I’d like us to look back and figure out what gameplay gaps [exist]…. Then we’d go back and satisfy o...

Hey Cajun, I have it on PC and PS3. I've platinum'd it on PS3, and on PC I've played it through and added a slew of mods to improve the game. I'd say at $20 for PS3, definitely pick it up. As was mentioned before, it's a somewhat buggy game no matter what your platform of choice is, but it's also a fun a game. The PS3 version has been patched as PirateThom mentioned, and it's issues with freezing aren't frequent and don't have the initial problem from when it launched. Of course if you do end...

I completely agree with you Cajun. For me, looking at this new Max they have designed, it makes me wonder why they chose this. I probably wouldn't have cared so much if they wanted to explore that whole path, but quite simply, the character does not look like an aged, bald, slightly-overweight Max Payne, he looks like an entirely different person.

I'm not bashing them, because it looks like it has the potential to be a great game. I do have concerns though, because it is a chara...

Very awesome news, but I've been on and off it intermittently through the day, and even just was on it and there has been no prompt for me to update. I'm in NA region by the way. I am hoping the update gets put up soon, as I am very eager to get trading between 2 players in offline co-op. Is it perhaps only in specific regions that this was released so far? I noticed this article is from an Italian blog, so the only thing I can assume is that maybe the patch hasn't been localized in some regi...

I completely agree. I mean, it looks like it has the potential be a good game, but at the same time it seems that they are straying from some of the aspects that really made Max Payne an amazing series to begin with. I could be wrong, but I really don't know if I am going to enjoy playing a bald, depressed, and homeless looking Max, as opposed to the dark and gritty, leather jacket, avenger-like Max from both prior games.

Judging from what has been said and now shown, I just don...

Actually Raz, I am pretty sure this is more than rumor. If you look on the IGN live feed page, and look at the schedule for Wednesday at 7:45, this is on there as "Unannounced Sony Title -- This could be big!". Link is http://uk.video.ign.com/str...

If this isn't what they are talking about, my apologies, but I am pretty sure it is. I honestly have no idea what to expect from this, but I am really...

@4Show and a few other questioning this design, I believe there is logical reasoning behind this move. One of the issues I would imagine, is that since UMD didn't catch on really, there would be a compatibility problem with a future PSP2 having backward compatibility (since it almost certainly wouldn't support UMD).

Eliminating the UMD drive in this model gives them a chance to really transfer everything from a physical medium to a digital format, and thus making it easier to go...

@Bathyj, I completely agree. I felt the movies were kind of out-of-place and somewhat confusing (and this is coming from someone very familiar with convoluted anime stories). That aside, I think Eva is a pretty important series, and I enjoyed it. It's very different from other series, and Shinji can at times be frustrating to watch, but the overall ideas presented throughout the series are very interesting and you end up finding yourself pulled into it. When they do get into actual action seq...

Thanks for the info man. Just checked that out, and for the small amount they showed, it looked extremely polished. I really couldn't imagine that they would drop all the work that's gone into this with it looking that nice. I have a feeling that we will either hear some news about this at E3, or Take-2 will be having confidential meetings about this at E3 with investors and/or perhaps even their development teams. Or (as has been stated before), this all theoretically could be an elaborate h...

Before I start in, I want to note in case some people didn't see it, they commented in the update on the article that this is indeed alpha screens. But that shouldn't affect this topic either way.

I'm kind of surprised to see so many people forgetting the roots of RPGs lay in the story and gameplay, and not in the graphics. It's true that there needs to be some level of graphical display for the immersion of the player, but if we look back to older RPGs, even some of the "po...

While Tabula Rasa may not have been the greatest game of all time, had a few flaws in development and production, and didn't have a strong enough advertising campaign, I still felt that it had some really good points, a great story, some really fun areas, and was very innovative in some ways. More than anything, I hope that Richard continues on and makes something new and amazing, and I really do hope that he makes something within the realms of gaming.

I think NCsoft has a hand...

I already have my copy pre-ordered, and am very stoked for this. Between this and inFAMOUS releasing close to one another, I'll be busy for quite a while.

And I have to agree, Atlus really has been putting in an even more significant effort to pick up. I am really interested to see if their next project really is an effort bringing the SMT to PS3. That would be majorly snazzy.

I'm definitely with you on the topic of UO. Surprised to actually hear that other people around here remember UO. In fact, If you haven't already looked into it, I suggest checking out some of the free shards out there. Honestly, a lot of them are better than OSI (the original paying servers that EA own). Some of them are geared towards actual roleplaying in-character, and they're generally pretty amazing and fun as well. Especially due to the fact that any person who runs a free-shard can co...

Great news once again Sev. I am an avid reader of your site, and this added to your teaser from a couple days back is really is awesome and helpful info. Being a large fan of both inFAMOUS and Uncharted, I was concerned other stores copies wouldn't have the code besides Best Buy. I've already had my inFAMOUS pre-order placed for a while at a local EB/Gamestop (mainly for the Blades bonus DLC), and didn't want to end up missing out on this great chance to see how Naughty Dog implements this as...
