@Jezuz, if you really want to see what Yakuza is like, I believe there is a Yakuza 3 demo on the PSN store which will give you a much fuller aspect of what the game is like. It's exactly as Lepolohuevo said. The demo was a very bad representation of the entire game, as it's main focuses have always been things like storytelling, RPG aspects, city exploration, tons of mini games, and other similar aspects. The "brawler"/"Beat em' Up" portion is only a part of it...

@Daavpuke, Ah, okay. I wasn't sure because I couldn't find the posting time on here, only that it was just approved 5 hours ago. In any case, I definitely agree, and it's a shame they haven't gotten back to this series yet.

(btw, this was supposed be a reply, but it added an additional comment instead)

Seems this got posted a bit late here on N4G, as the deal was only valid yesterday. The price is back up to $10, but in my opinion that's still a fine price for this great game. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet, should seriously look into grabbing it. It's a classic, and if you've played and enjoyed any of Tim Schafer's earlier work, you'll almost certainly love this game. Best of all, almost everyone should be able to check this gem out since it was released on PC, PS2,...

Yeah, I almost did the same thing, because I figured I am just gonna buy the game anyway next month. But I figured that since I didn't know Japanese well, this time around I could play the demo and understand what they were saying during that long cutscene. But the US one is basically just a compilation of four fighting scenarios (one with each character), placed without any story or background to what's happening.

So, it's like I mentioned, anyone who doesn'...

I wish we had gotten the same demo that came out on the Japanese PSN store last year. It was a really massive demo, included several mini-games, a decent amount of fighting, and about the only downside to it was that there was no english subtitles, and shortly after starting the demo a 20 minute cutscene ensued that you couldn't skip (and I couldn't really understand much of it since I don't know enough Japanese yet, so it probably would have been better had I known what they were...

I think I can help with some of this. If you signed up today, you would get all the content from this month, and possibly some spill over from prior month(s). It's a little tough to explain but there is some stuff that will carry over from one month to another. The discounts tend to last multiple months, and every now and then it's the same deal with free content.

I think that answers your second question too, however anything free that you download will show up in yo...

Yeah actually, I was waiting on that one to get a price drop, so I grabbed that and the season subscription for Back to the Future. And WOW, the Penny Arcades are an awesome steal at only $3. Although I already grabbed them a while back, but for $3, I'd suggest anyone who enjoys Penny Arcade humor, or RPGs to grab it at that price. After all, the worst you can lose out on is $3.

Hey King, I hear what you are saying with this, but if you remember what happened with LittleBigPlanet 2, they may be doing the same thing. There was no credit on that until roughly 3-4 days prior to release, but then they dropped a $20 credit on it. So you might not be able to get release day shipping, however if you are considering getting it from a store at this point anyway, it might be worth it just to wait on putting a pre-order down until about 3 days beforehand, just in-case they do a...

Every used game I've ordered from them (I believe 6 or 7 total now), has come in great condition with the original box and manual. Now I believe I did receive one game that had some scuffs, however after cleaning the disc off with rubbing alcohol, it looks as if it barely has a blemish at all. I don't know about their "Previously viewed" items in comparison (that's their games that they rent out from the stores, which are later put up for sale), because all the game'...

Yeah, I ran into an issue in Yakuza 1 actually. Since I was playing on my BC 80GB PS3 (the ones with mostly software emulation), I ran into a lockup which prevented me from getting any further. Yakuza 2 had some issues as well, so in order to fill in the blanks without having to replay both games entirely over on a PS2, I just watched the videos at the beginning of Yakuza 3. It's no joke when I say they're really informative and very thorough. Each video is like 30 minutes long, and e...

Not a problem at all, glad I could help out, and thanks for the bubble up. As I mentioned, if you have any specific questions, or if you just want to game sometime, feel free to add me or message me on PSN (same as my user name here), or PM me here, and I'll assist to the best of my knowledge.

Yeah I completely understand that man. Sometimes you just have to improvise and make it work the best you can. I haven't toyed with too many Hitachi drives, especially 2.5" Hitachi's. Maybe try adding a cooling unit to your system if you want to keep it horizontal? However don't go cheap with those, as some of them can cause worse heating issues even, which is lame. Sorry I couldn't be of more help bud.

ABizzle, I know what you mean about time constraints, especially with how many amazing games have been coming out and are coming in the near future, but I have to say that these games are worth making time for. If you only have time for one of them, start on Yakuza 3, as that will give you a full video breakdown of the events that transpired in the first two games, and then you can catch up for Yakuza 4. I didn't end up getting into the series until just after Yakuza 2 released in the US,...

Xilef and Blacktric, I can only speak for myself and a couple friends who have also changed over, but as I've mentioned above, we've all had a great response with the WD Scorpio Black models. On Amazon, you can nab a 500GB for about $70 USD, or a 320GB for $57 USD. In most areas that includes tax, plus you get free shipping. If you need specifics on them, feel free to add me on PSN, or PM me on here.

I would recommend veering away from the Seagate Hybrid drives howev...

Actually ACEMAN, I think that's a misconception that is relatively common. It's not universal that all 7200 drives will run hotter than 5400/5200 drives, it's based on the quality and model revision of drive you have. As I mentioned above, I'm running a new 7200rpm drive, and it's been running horizontally for about a month now, never had an overheating issue, and I've been gaming pretty hard on it.

The new WD Scorpio Black I installed actually has red...

This was a very well written guide, and actually I've recently upgraded my PS3's HDD to a WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm, 16MB cache drive. I chose this drive for a few reasons. The price difference between the Scorpio Green and Black tends to be close enough to warrant spending the extra $10-20 for the Black drive. The increased speed appeals to me, and overall I was interested in personally experiencing the difference (especially given that there has been few guides as well written as thi...

@nickjkl, actually, I think you might have misinterpreted what I was talking about. I speaking in hypotheticals, about what they could have done to begin with, and was providing a sound reason as an alternative about their reasoning to bring in a new voice actor. Their problem was that they wanted a more natural performance for their motion and dialogue with Cole, and that's why they switched to this new person. My idea that I was referring to, was still using the new actor to perform eve...

I definitely agree, while the gameplay, the visuals, and nearly everything is looking drastically improved (on what was already a very impressive original game), the original voice actor for Cole is something I feel is extremely important that this is sadly lacking. They said it was due to them wanting to capture a more "natural" experience with their motion capture crew, so that the same guy who's doing the voice acting would also be doing the stunts (similar to Uncharted with ...

I have it on PS3, and I really enjoyed it and definitely can't wait to see the sequel. However while it's a lot of fun, I have had a lot of mic issues as well with my friends. Unless someone with a really solid connection is the host, it seems to give really choppy voice connections. This was still happening for me up through the last time I played, which was only about two weeks ago. In addition to that, my old mic (Plantronics Explorer 320) only seemed to work half the time, and wou...

I definitely agree with you Figboy, and that's exactly the point I was trying to make. I think that aside from a couple specific levels such as the "Mario area 1-1" which has been reproduced many times, a lot more often you do see levels inspired by other games, and those are usually really enjoyable. A lot of times it is disappointing to see a straight copy of an already established level, because of both your reason (the physics issues from LBP1), and because those levels tend...
