So pretty much they are covering themselves by giving a gift card for $30 back. meaning if Kinect is $119 and the games are $40 that is $160 plus tax. Personally I See Kinect being $120, which is less then Move. Also I think the hold up is two things, trying to create buzz for the product, free advertising as well. Everyone is talking about it, also I believe they are trying to figure out whether to pack in a game or how to work that. Bundle pricing is probably being figured into this as well...

I am glad we are still getting content, even with Forza 4 coming out next year. These look pretty sweet. my favorite racing sim.

I think the 250 gig HDD 360s that is out now appeals to people who like a lot of media. Download a ton of items and the like. However the Arcades appeal to people who just want to game. it's like the Wii is casual, offers little to no media capabilities and yet sells like crazy. People sometimes clearly just want to game.

For anyone that was on the fence about getting an Xbox 360 because of RROD, well we now know the 360s models have no issues and if an arcade is $199, w...

Kinect is always in the top 5. Even if they sell a Arcade/Kinect Bundle for $299 that's still $100 cheaper then a PS3/Move bundle. Now if they put the bundle out for $250, then that really cuts more into Nintendo Territory then Sony. Because you get an HD console and the casual one for only $50 more then a Wii, plus you can play all the great Microsoft titles.

As for people arguing about the HDD, some people just like to game. They think 250 gig HDD is overkill. To save ...

They wont make one without it now. It'll probably have Wifi and the new Wired controller that they are selling on Xbox dot com.
That would be a good deal and I can see why Microsoft is holding it back for a bit, get a ton of sales off the regular version, then release an updated arcade and then release the bundle with Kinect. Microsoft is definitely marketing things right and at the right time too. Great deal. I already got the new xbox 360s but I might pick up one of these arcad...

It's only been on the market for a couple of months and came out at a bad time to be honest. However, it was a truly remarkable game and something I haven't seen yet. If you look at Some games in the past, they don't find their audience or acclaim until the sequel comes out. Not sure why people tried to compare this game to Heavy Rain, they are both totally different genre's and both great games in their own way. I hope we get a long running Franchise.

Mass Effect 2 of course, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, but why no Metro 2033? That game received high ratings and was amazing. I loved it! Halo Reach and Fable 3 would have been on that list had this list came out a bit later. Quality games though.

This isn't a surprise, there are more casual gamers then core gamers in the world. The Wii and games like Farmville have proven this time and time again. It's mostly lip service IMHO when they say they will be doing more core games, because honestly, it's a nice thought, but who here who takes competitive or core gaming seriously is going to want to use a gimmicky, motion control device in an online game against someone using a standard controller? I doubt it's going to end we...

They didn't fix the online at all, there was absolutely no upgrade to their servers or to the voice chat system. Your basically paying to rent media and the features are nowhere near as good as live. I own all the consoles but as far as playing games online, it's XBL all the way.
For people that haven't used XBL, it's the little things and the big things, like Party chat, voice message system, viewing your friends friends list to find and add mutual friends easier, sa...

They had to take out features to make it more affordable and then they can make even more money by releasing PS2 games in a new package as PS3 games in the process.
It's all a money making thing. All the companies are out to milk every last dollar, so of course in this day and age you pay more for less.

When you have regular standard television which is free, people still pay for satellite Television or cable television right? It's along the same lines of that with XBL for me. Sure there are some free online gaming services out there, but the value and content from XBL is just superior.
If your a competitor gamer then it's definitely the way to go. From the Party chat to the ability to appear offline, to viewing your friends friend's list to the setup in general it'...

The 60 gig originals were hardware backwards compatible and I have a 80 gig original Backwards compatible in my room, with the slim in the Florida room.
The Original not only plays PS2 games, but upscales the graphics, has 4 USB ports and a plethora of flash drives. No doubt the tech in those early models are better IMHO. They had to take out a bit to be able to lower the price. So while still a good value, I have to disagree with this article.

Considering HDTV's have been around since the 1980's and viable in the 1990's and right now in 2010 there is only 59% saturation, I am going to say this wont happen. There for sure wont be a 3-D television in my home in 3 years. I am not going to wear glasses to enjoy gaming or movies.
I also tend to get migraines with 3-D effects. So pass. Did somebody tell Ubisoft that over 20% of the population physically cant view 3-D? This is worse then that laser tag stuff at their E...

In 2006 this guy was saying Sony wasn't into "Gimmicks" and they called the Wii Mote a Lollipop. So I seriously doubt they built the PS3 with motion controls in mind.

It's not going to happen.

Also we can probably guess it will suffer from the same lack of quality software that the current PSP has.

KOTOR 3 would be epic, but doubtful. It's more likely something like Dragon Age add on or Dragon Age part 2. Possibly Mass Effect 3, but we know that stuff is in the works to be honest.
If Mass Effect 3 comes out next year we'll have a couple nice titles on the 360 in Gears 3 and Mass Effect 3. So I'm looking forward to whatever it is. KOTOR 3 would blow my mind though, probably will not happen.
Also, where the heck is Jade Empire 2 that we were promised years ag...

Microsoft has had a steady stream of Exclusives this year. Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Ninety Nine Nights 2, Fable 3, Halo Reach. Those are as much quality as you will see in a year from any game company. Most people have ME2 as GOTY.
Also we got a redesigned 360 that added features and I must say is pretty to look at. We also get some casual love with Kinect and those games, so it's like we get a new console without having to spend a ton of mo...

It is a fun game and works well for what it is. I am not sure what people expected it to be, but it's Crackdown 2. The original was underrated in my opinion and this game sticks to that formula.
I find it to be a fun game and the online is tight. A nice change of pace from Halo and Gears and COD for me when the mood strikes.

What is the point in making a motion control device if not geared towards the casual market?
If anything they have caught the attention of the millions of causal fans, there are more casual gamers then Core gamers and Microsoft knows this.
People are still pre-ordering Kinect when it doesn't even have a price point, that should tell you something in itself.

I believe had Microsoft went Sony's route and tried to push it on Hardcore gamers as well it wo...
