Seriously? Can we get a tracking on PS3's and Wii's as well? Maybe throw in some DSI's and some PSP's too just for fun? I'd say put that time and energy in someplace else to be honest. It's such a wasted effort. People are going to buy what they want to buy and like what they want to like and all the articles isn't going to change that. Same way with smear campaigns with politicians.
1 year warranty is fine for the new 360s. It's all the PS3 ha...
More consoles means more people online right? I cant see the downside. I know the last FF game online was on Xbox 360, PS2 and P.C.
I don't think that turned out bad at all, I mean you had to have the HDD on the PS2 to play it, which was kind of expensive. This is solid news if your a fan of the series and only have an Xbox 360.
There shouldn't really be any arguing, more people means more fun IMHO. More competition and more friends.
At the end of the day no ...
That have died. Wii's have bricked, PS3's have bricked. Sheesh, stop looking for trouble with articles like these. Sometimes I think some people here live for things like this. Get over it. Some people like things you might not like. It's not a big deal.
We all have to share this world and Video games are for fun, so stop with the stupid fanboy stuff.
It just makes people look petty and insecure. These articles bring the worst out in people.
That's all that matters to me anyway. I have all three, though I generally prefer to play multiplatform games on the Xbox 360, however it has never bothered me when a game was made on PS3 dev kits or Xbox 360 ones. I mean I believe the last few years have been dominated by games being made on 360 dev kits, so it doesn't really matter to me either way.
I will say this article is a lot of if's and buts to it though. Kind of speculative in nature.
When someone says 3-D might not make it? If you check the history of it, it always comes back "Improved" and never stays very long. Sony is a big company and can afford to push it and take losses, but there will be a point when people say enough with the technology and being forced to buy something new for an absurd amount of money. I mean televisions are an expensive item, less then 60% have an HDTV as it stands, 3-D televisions are far more expensive then that and with a whole hec...
There is nothing wrong with the new Xbox 360 models. How do you have 4 bubbles honestly?
Doesn't it ever get old trolling away over which console is better while kids fight to stay alive in a hospital?
Sheesh, whatever brightens their day I am all for. Some people need to realize there are more important thing's in life then which console you prefer with your own opinion.
Up until six days ago when I upgraded to the new Xbox 360s. I always thought the Red Ring thing was a bit too publicized to really be accurate. Whenever they did a poll I believe they probably didn't do so randomly which can affect the outcome.
In the gaming clan that I am in, it's just as common to lose a player to a PS3 problem as it is to a 360 one. Never having had RROD personally I can speak for myself and being in a rather large gaming clan I can speak as far as what I s...
I've seen it recently with Nintendo and the Wii going into retirement homes and things like that. It keeps people active and can keep their minds busy.
Anyone that has every had to stay in the Hospital knows how much it sucks, especially if your a kid. Having video games might remove some anxiety that comes with that stay.
This isn't surprising. I am an adult and I must say I play the Wii probably as much as my PS3 and Xbox 360. Also, since when did adults play only M rated games? I play MW2 and that has tons of kids in it and that is surely an M rated game.
On the other hand my parents and even my grandparents have played Wii and actually own one for themselves. So I can see this being pretty accurate.
Is the fact that a true "hardcore gamer" probably wont want to risk using a motion controller in a game that allows both Standard and a motion controller. Like for example Killzone 3, some people might say they would try Move on this game, but online, you'll be going through an internet connection, which of course will slow down it's reaction time. So I highly doubt a lot of hardcore gamers use Move for games like that.
In my opinion, Sony should has set th...
Everyone can enjoy a High Definition picture. Not the same can be said about 3-D. Like I said personally it's not for me, while I love Blu Ray and HDTV.
I think people making this argument tend to use that excuse as a crutch to try and support something their personal favorite developer is pushing hardcore at the moment.
Having no allegiance to a console company (Since I own and play all equally) I can state a unbiased opinion.
3-D isn...
To find negative stories on Kinect. Some of the Xbox fans go out of there way to find positive ones.
From what I've seen, Kinect has the least laggy responses. People love the Wii and that is the worst of all when it comes to response times. I mean how well will Move respond when it's running through a online router and playing in a network?
What I do know is Kinect look's interesting and that is why I personally pre-ordered it.
If I see a few mor...
With Kinect. You just have to use the second Power cord that comes with Kinect. The new 360s models are powered directly off the Xbox 360 itself. They wouldn't alienate the 40+ million Xbox 360 console owners that already have the system and that might want to try Kinect.
By the way, this isn't me saying a ton of people will buy Kinect that own a current 360, just saying people will have the option.
Personally I did pre-order Kinect, but I also bought a Xbox 360s six ...
However, it's the truth. Microsoft doesn't have the ulterior motive that Sony does to push 3-D right now. It is good to know that the 360 can produce 3-D if someone really, really want's to go that route.
Personally I'm not a fan of it, I've said it before I tend to get headaches quickly and I wouldn't be comfortable wearing 3-D glasses, but as a owner of all the current consoles I guess it's nice to have the option.
Though I'll go on record sa...
So it's all good! It's a definite upgrade to be certain and it's aesthetically pleasing as well.
Sometimes games find a better grove in a sequel. I mean Sonic 2 was better then Sonic 1 and Uncharted 2 was far better then 1. I actually really loved Alan Wake and I'm glad they are going to continue the story. It's something I found refreshing.
Earlier today.

It's not like they are going to come out and say they are going to loss marketshare or anything. I own all three current consoles and like them all, but this article makes me scream "Duh!"
It's the same thing with something like "Sony expects to keep on selling PS3's at this pace" I mean of course there going to say that. Sheesh. Sometimes I scratch my head at what gets reported as "news" here.
That would be if 3-D actually was viable. If you look at where HDTV is right now, it's at 59%. Nintendo said "If" 3-D were in 30% of homes, so your looking at quite a ways off. I mean HDTV has been available since the 1990's and actually in Japan in the 1980's but they used a analog instead of Digital receivers and were costly.
Nintendo is smart to hold off, they want to see what happens. I suspect we'd see a Wii HD first and possibly even another ge...
Any hardware can have failure. The original 360's more so. However there name was dragged through the mud, even after they fixed the problem. Now people are just looking for any kind of excuse to go off on them. I wish someone would do a survey on the difference in failure rate in the first two years of the 360 and the next 2+ years. I bet the difference would be huge. I went through 3 PS2's originally. The disk drives all broke. Everything has the potential to fail.
