The 360 will continue to do well this year. Just when it might start to level off we will see the arcade 360s and then Kinect and Kinect bundles. Microsoft's doing well this year. Holidays gonna be huge for them.

Those consoles were inventive and cheap and had a ton of games. The PS3 started on the wrong note for a lot of people to be honest. For all the positives with the PS3, there are negatives as well. Not saying Nintendo or Microsoft don't have negatives as well, just saying Sony got away from what made the PS1 and PS2 so amazing, which wasn't graphics but it was price point and the amount of games.
I am excited by Kinect and I rather enjoyed the Microsoft presser as well.
I can see what he is saying, though I might not agree with the whole thing I do agree with some of it. I use my PS3 for offline games only these days and haven't really played it at all since I got my 360s.
SO to each their own people, just enjoy games and gaming
Right when the Xbox 360s releases? I always kind of thought Sony was pulling a Nintendo with the whole "We cant match demand" thing. I mean I can see Nintendo not matching demand with 75 million consoles sold and everyone wanting one, but PS3 sitting at 35 mil seemed kinda fishy IMHO.

I figured the 360 would see a boost, plus this is with only a week of 360s sales or so involved. I know people still on the waiting list from Gamestop to get theres. Probably when it starts to die down a bit, we'll see the Arcade $199 model out. My guess is the Arcade will have Wifi, Wired controller and 4 GB memory, which was "leaked". So for $199 you get everything you need and no worries about Red ring.

I pre-ordered Kinect. I love the idea of controlling media via movements and voice recognition.

Not seeing the issue. Now I saw some stories today like the one saying their was a problem with the Wireless N in the new 360s, when in actuality it was a problem with people's routers that was sketchy IMHO. This however is gaming news and I see plenty of chart news when something Sony or Nintendo is in it. So why not Microsoft too?
I guess some people will go to any length to prove something or another. In reality, the new 360s is very sound in design and works well. I've had mine since they came out and no issues, and that's with leaving it on overnight as well.
I guess I could drop mine out of a window and have it break, should they put a warning out for that too?
It's just a common fact. PS3, DS, PSP everything will have issues with closed Nat Settings. Not sure this is news, other then to cause trouble to be honest.
Out of the motion controls. Also, since it's mostly games you'll be playing not online, it shouldn't really be an issue. Millions of people seemed to enjoy the Wii, even with all it's lag and even though it lacked the ability to track motions.
Move lagged a lot, noticeably at E3, which worries me and is a reason I haven't pre-ordered it like I did Kinect. I just suspect it will lag even more if you try to use it across a network or online. So I am a bit we...
Still rocks though. They took the Sony gameplan with the PS2, all about fun and games and not about graphics. That's why they are number 1 right now. Of course 3-D isn't the next Nintendo Step for a console. They already said if the market gets to 30 % then maybe. Considering the market for HDTV is only at 59% all these years later, I think we have a long wait....
Wii is solid though, for all the flack it gets, I mean it's not the "Cool console" but everyone owns...
This article is clearly flame bait and I'll see the disagrees, but as a gamer who has all the consoles I only ever use my PS3 offline because the online and coive chat are so bad. I use the 360 for any online games.
I will say in the interest in debate, what's more hardcore then Halo Reach and Gears Of War 3? I don't really think there is anything. I mean Black Op's is Hardcore as well, I know it's on PS3 as well, but the COD games tend to always sell bet...

Or a standard controller for that matter? A standard controller doesn't have a gas pedal, break pedal, clutch, steering wheel, yet you seem to hate on Kinect for not having those either. At least Kinect would give greater depth to the actual driving part of the game, where you look, the camera looks, I think that's pretty cool.
I own pretty much all of these games, but Halo 3 should be on there instead of ODST and Splinter Cell Conviction should be on there instead of Blue Dragon. I mean it was nice having that great release date game but Some of the newer 360 games blow that away.
Nice to see Alan Wake, Gears and Fable on the list, but personally I enjoy Forza over Project Gotham Racing and PGR 4 is better then 3. Nice list though, definitely the list people should buy or look into if your jhust now getting...
Fable 3, the New Ghost Recon, Harry potter and possibly Metal Gear Solid Rising will use Kinect. It's not just for rails and I personally cant wait to see future applications. I don't see why PS3 fans are all saying now, now, now, when you had to wait like two years before anything decent even came out on the console. The future aspects of Kinect are exciting.
