I'm getting it right away. I think it's nice so many solid arcade titles are coming out in the Summer, which is usually a slow time for games.
This summer Arcade thing is really offering a lot. I need more MS points stat!

Exactly. I know I went the 360 route strictly for that game and I wasn't disappointed. The online was great, the campaign was a blast and with 2 they improved a lot on that. With Gears 3, I am more excited then ever. Swapping weapons, 4-player co op online, Beast mode, servers. I think it's going to be great and it'll sell well.

Is a big reason. For me though, it's games and the online as well as the controller. I own all the consoles, but it's kind of clear Microsoft goes after the American gamers and In my opinion Sony caters to the Japanese gamers. I am in a gaming clan and I notice a lot of PS3 gamers are into thing's like Anime and Manga and thing's like this.

Not sure many who don't own a 360 would know this though. I have about 5 arcade games that were free from XBL, usually the first day a theme or avatar set is available on XBL it's free then in a day or so it costs MS points.
They have a whole stack of Indie games that are only $1 which is nice as well. That I m4d3 a g4me w1th zombies in it is an example of some of these games being really well done.

Halo 3 or ODST, Gears 2, Mass Effect 1 or 2, Alan Wake, Forza, Left 4 Dead, Lost Odyssey or almost anything other then Rock Band...I mean sheesh..
Larger HDD, 5 usb ports, Wireless N, Quieter, no Red Ring etc... A lot of people always wanted a 360 but there was such a stigma on the brand due to the early 360 models failures.
Microsoft did a huge poll and asked gamers what they would rather have in the 360 and Wireless won and garnered 69% of the vote.
Even above Blu Ray. I guess a lot of people just cant run a cable to their Xbox 360's. So the Wireless is helping I'm certain.

Why would they start taking losses now? It's not like the current PS3 price isn't pushing consoles, it's just that the Wii always sells great and with the XBox 360 price cuts on older models and the new 360s, it's the hot new thing.
I don't see Sony doing anything, they already announced $399 Move bundles and like 500 gig PS3 models for $400+. You don't go from making a small profit per console to going back in the whole. Especially with the uncertaint...
If I've noticed anything lately, it's that in this prolonged console cycle, the consoles are actually going up a bit recently. I mean the new 360s stayed the same, but we have seen some bundles that are more expensive and last I heard Sony was only making $14 per console. So I doubt they would be in a hurry to lose money on them again.
Any price cut Sony would do, would just be followed by Microsoft and vice versa.
The real true Failure rate is like 24% or something. The 50+ is just flat out wrong. In fact I had a launch 360 until the 360s came out, at which point I traded it in and upgraded. I'm loving the newer model. I think Analyst's are paid to make statements like this. Honestly they may be right to an extent, but only because the 360s was hard to come by. People wanted it, however it's a highly sought product.

I'll be on that from the midnight release for the foreseeable future. I'm pumped! Though I'll definitely buy Fable 3, pre-ordered Kinect already and I will get Black Ops because I love the COD franchise and this is the make or break game IMHO. If it's terrible I'm off COD for good, if it's solid then WELCOME BACK COD!
Good stuff though, something for everyone.
It plays between a Gears of War and Socom hybrid. No BS kills or anything and the hit detection is dead on. I am really enjoying it.
I think the PS3 has some nice titles, but hardly any worth paying a full $60 for. Since I don't play PS3 online because I prefer XBL, that means I usually Gamefly PS3 titles, beat them and then ship them back. I loved God OF War 3, but after beating it, there isn't much reason to have it. So in My opinion, it's the 360 games that give you the most usage.

I already pre-ordered mine! I usually only get this excited for full console launches, but something about Kinect has me pretty darn excited. Like a kid waiting for Christmas day.
To be fair though, it's a pretty poor slogan for any console to boast about.
No console can do everything, I mean we can sit here like fanboys and list all the things or we can just agree to disagree and say play what you like on the console you like.
As a person with all three consoles, I'm not limited to any exclusives, I get to play everything I want.
Some people could learn from that.
I've gotten them as cheap as $25 there before. Which is like half off what Microsoft charges.
So it's a cheaper way to get live. I usually stock up on them if I see them that cheap.
a few weeks ago and picked up the new 360s. Couldn't be happier about it. Of course I had to enter the Gamestop lottery for the opportunity to even buy one, but it was well worth it.
a 360s Arcade with Wifi, 4 GB and no chance of Red Ring will sell very well. It's clear Microsoft had a plan and it's working thus far. It would have been foolish for people to think the 360 wouldn't get the same push the PS3 did last year. Get a good push with this, then release the Arcade version, then release Kinect bundled with the Arcade for $249-$299 and see sales spike again.

I just think Fable 3 and ODST were solid. I thought Heavy Rain was a bit boring, it was super hyped. I can throw in Killzone 2 as well. It was hyped since 2005, came out and 2 months later people weren't playing it. The most GB teams on it were less then 100.
So yeah. I also think MW2 was hyped and a letdown.

XBL tends to get the better Arcade titles, I think this is the case here. I am excited for this game. I am really liking the XBL summer lineup thus far.
