Jesus. I forgot all about this game. Amazing that they finally finished it! was always one of the coolest looking games I've ever seen.
Not to dogpile, but seriously, what the hell happened to this game? This is friggin Bethesda with microsoft money on top of it. Skyrim was talked about constantly, daily, for at least a full decade before people started to simmer down.
I suppose that as I got older, I stopped playing them, but Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 was probably the last title I played. That there was 7 years between Vegas 2 and Siege, and then another 7 years between Siege and Extraction is rough. Ugh.
My introduction to them I believe was Rainbow Six: Black Arrow on xbox, though I played a bunch of the games on PS1/PS2. I remember the original for PS1 and just having a blast.
I was just going to say the same thing about Advanced Warfighter. The hype for that game was REAL, and I remember the early screens in EGM/Gamepro and just being floored by the texture work and lighting. God, I miss those days.
Now if only we could get a new SOCOM game before THAT studio ...
I love how the developer who basically birthed the Rainbow Six franchise gets absolutely zero attention on here. Either this site is gearing towards younger gamers or I just became acutely aware of how ancient I am.
With the definition of "digital ownership" changing seemingly every other day, I don't blame anyone who pirates.
edit: I should add that the cost of making games going up has absolutely nothing to do with piracy. It's what people will pay, and Nintendo was the (and often has been) the canary in the coal mine with price surges, but this might elicit a shrug with younger generations that may have been born in world where season passes and microtransactions w...
The fact that you have ANY disagrees will forever baffle me. And to the (apparent) MAGA contingent that exists on this website, enjoy your 8-9 dollar gas.
If you are advocating for the Resident Evil franchise to move away from it's survival horror roots, just play 6. It's my least favorite game of the franchise because it becomes an unironic Bollywood action movie.
As a Silent Hill fan since playing the original as a kid, I'm envious of the RE franchise because our games are also trying something "new" and "different", and the result is fluctuating degrees of mediocrity, with Bloober Team helpi...
She's out.
bring back the Micro. Please.
Respectfully, This is probably one of my least favorite tactics in making an argument.
I'll give you an example: If I like the color red, it doesn't mean I hate the color blue.
People lamenting the (potential) demise of the xbox brand has nothing to do with sony or playstation. It has everything to do with xbox. Now, for the sake of argument, you could say that Sony and Microsoft are two peas in a pod, and that they've both made absolutely baffling and ...
and this gen really took it's sweet time to get going.
Rest in Peace. What a LEGEND.
"During his time at EA, Gaudechon helped steer live-service operations for titles such as FIFA Mobile and Battlefield Heroes."
Jesus. Christ.
I think it was the level with the musical instruments where everything was "slippery" that had I been an adult, instead of a kid playing on his older brother's Saturn, I probably would have picked up smoking.
Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow are two of the greatest games I've ever played, and the online multiplayer was absolutely brilliant. I'll never forget buying an xbox, xbox live and Pandora Tommorow, using the wireless network adapter at first, but then just hardwiring it into the then "gold standard" of gaming routers - Linksys WRT54G.
Felt like magic back then.
I'd kill for a remake of those games. But PLEASE no more "Point and Execu...
should come out the same day as that 9th episode of Stranger Things.
@Crimson
Fair points all around. We will just have to wait and see how this plays out. I guess I always saw A.I as a gun. It doesn't matter who wields it, because the intent behind having it is pretty straightforward. Some people will only use the gun as a last resort, primarily to help small businesses and or solo peeps have at least some competitive advantage while they wear many, many hats. Some people will use the gun as a first resort because they see the inherent ...
Steam's summer sales, GOG has frequent massive sales, too. Epic gives a free game all the time. Damn, I was going to mention Redbox for modern console titles, but they went out of business like a year ago. But seriously, there are a ton of options for gaming on a budget. The golden rule is: never buy a game at full price. You really, really don't have anymore if you are just a little patient.
"Sun's Out, Guns Out" has been a saying for literally decades.
