what makes Halo so great? i can agure that Goldeneye 007, Red Faction and Half Life are all three better fps' than Halo. at least those three offered something a lot more refreshing than Halo, which, like the editor of this article said about Resistance, seemed to be an exceptionally feature-packed wheel rather than a completely reinvented wheel. not trying knock Halo or anything, but i wouldn't necessarily say that it's the fps by which all other fps' should be measured.
whats funny about all this is that it only reaffirms Europe's interest in the PS3, to be so mad to actually dedicate an entire site to vent their anger. trust me, come March of 07 (or whenever Sony decideds to launch the PS3 in Europe) it will sell out.
as far as the Universal dude, what more could you expect? Universal has been one of only a few movie studios to back HD-DVD (compared to Blu-ray's many). them saying that Blu-ray sucks is tantamount to Peter Moore saying the ...
this article seems to be jumping the gun a bit. there are certainly MORE questions than there are factual truths about all this; so why not just sit back a bit and wait for a final announcement from Polyphony and Sony.
from what little bit i could discern it looks exactly like the trailers Konami's been showing. great indeed! now hopefully all the doubts will be laid to rest.
i'll get it only if it's warrented by the extras. this does bode well for the PS3, as chances that the sequel, Ninja Gaiden 2 (which Tecmo STILL hasn't announced for any specific system) coming to the PS3 are looking a bit more fathomable.
Lost Planet, Lost Odyssey, Forza 2, GOW and Blue Dragon are about the only games on the list that interest me. but what can i say: this is the TGS. most of the games are geared for the Japanese market.
well, if you wanna scrutinize MGS4 that much i can easily counter and say that it looks closer to real-life than the plastic-textured, grainy GOW. you're talking about color-schemes, not technical processing power or actual texturing. last i checked only RFOM of the PS3 games shares a similar color scheme to MGS4. and where you say its washed-out looking, i attribute it to a more life-like ambience to the game.
Bioshock has been on the 360 for months? Oblivion ISN'T A SYSTEM SELLER!?! WoW, the former is ridiculously untrue, and the latter i thought i'd never hear from as staunch a 360 supporter as you. but in any event i did err, Lionhead is also a worthy first-party developer. that gives Microsoft...drum roll...THREE solid first-party developers, STILL not as many as Sony. and i've failed? okay. Assassins Creed going 360 is bigger news than Oblivion/Bioshock coming to the PS3? then tell me;...
MGS4's color palette has nothing to do with its graphics. GOW is a very GRAY game, but it's graphics are gorgeous. likewise with MGS4. do you honestly deign to lie and say that this doesn't look good?

what are you talking about the mart? the way things are going neither system is keeping their exclusives. i count two big name 360 franchises all but confirmed for the PS3 (Oblivion and Bioshock); while only one PS3-to-360 (Assassins Creed). this isn't a sign of either libraries prospering or dwindling; its just a sign of the change thats going on in the game industry. just because AC is going to the 360 doesn't mean the PS3's library's weakening. it just means that third-party exclusive...
i myself would like to see some actual gameplay footage, but given the visual quality of the last two renditions, i'm 100% sure that MGS4's actual gameplay will AT LEAST match the visuals found in this realtime trailers.
Howard Stringer announced over a year ago that the PS3 would come bundled with extras such as movies and possibly a pre-installed game. so how is Sony copying?
Spiderman was crappy!?! i for one would rather them bundle a free game with the system. most of the movies they'd probably bundle with it i already own on regular DVD's. but no, Spiderman isn't crappy. it just so happens to be in the top 20 grossing movies of all time.
what resolution is the 360 version at?
but you were just saying that you aren't excited about it paul. now you are? in any even, here are the links you requested above:

if you read both links, you should see confirmation of everything i've said. the reason i p...
Konami did the same thing with MGS4 last year. they paused the game, zoomed in and out on the character, manipulated the lighting etc. MGS always uses ingame assets for its cutscenes. if you've ever played any of them, you'll notice that the difference between the cut-scenes and the gameplay is indistinguishable. its no different with Halo 3, nor with Assassins Creed.

Bungie hasn't shown any gameplay of Halo 3. but i'm qutie sure that hasn't kept you or paul cerula from getting excited about it, has it?
you're right, Mario would rank right up there. however, i personally don't see EA trying to compete with Mario, especially how contested the franchise has been lately with Ratchet and Clank, and Jak and Daxter. thats why i didn't mention Mario...oh, and with the exception of Gran Turismo, i was thinking more along the lines of third-party developers. i was thinking more mainstream franchises
um dudes, with the exception of Windwaker, i've been playing Zelda games every since Link to the Past. my reasoning for saying that it was kiddie was because of the typical "save the Princess from the clutches of the Evil Wizard" overtone that's permeated the series every since it was born back in the NES days. moreover, no game in the series has ever had a "T" for team rating, hence my enthuse for this rendition. so calm down. i know more about this stuff than you wou...
naw, i NEVER played Halo ;/ of course i've played Halo. i don't make empty comments about games without ever having played them. 1st game opens with your ship getting destroyed by the Covenant, which you fight until their nemesis (the Flood...what a well thoughtout name for an enemy) takes their place. the second game's a blur, because quite simply it's story sucked. you spend half the time playing as a Covenant arbiter, just to turn around and battle some huge ape at the end (which you ...
