PS3 got 5 in the top 20 while 360 got like 8. i'm trying to figure out how thats "PWNAGE" when a) this list consists primarily of playable games (hence the absence of notables such as FFXIII, GOW and MGS4), and b) this list is comprised of a site's OPINION?
i'd actually heard a couple of weeks ago that RE5 would be a PS3 exclusive. now there're rumors that it's a 360 exclusive? just goes to show how off rumors can be sometimes.
Lost Planet isn't even out yet. Dead Rising is making Capcom money...in AMERICA. it can't make them money in Japan because the 360 doesn't sell over there. but Resident Evil 5 will have great sales WORLDWIDE, which should preclude any supposition of Capcom making it an exclusive to either system.
yeah, but while the PS2 didn't get any new Resident Evil games (unless you count Outbreak), the Gamecube also got mostly remakes; neither of which would be indicative of how things go with Resident Evil 5.
you all seriously need to CHILL!
the only real reason that i posted this is because if you read carefully, and unless it's just a misprint from ign.com, you'll notice confirmation of two HDMI ports on the high-end model of the PS3.
i never played this on the PC so i figured i'd give it a try on the consoles. meh. i hope it's not just a case of me not feeling fps' anymore, but after playing the demo for a few minutes i really didn't see what the all hoopla was about. not saying that it was a bad few minutes, just nothing to warrent all the hype the game's gotten. it was definately funner than Prey, but nothing great. i still have Halo 3, Bioshock and Resistance to look forward to as far as fps' i guess. otherwise i...
from a graphical standpoint which looks better? this:

or this:

well duh. what analysts call worrying most normal people would call competing.
ign posted it under PS3, but in the article they couldn't confirm which system it would be for. despite Tecmo's history of developing solely for the most powerful system (which would more than likely be the PS3) i saw no reason that it couldn't actually be announced for the Wii too. just covering all bases.
...so first they announce two HDMI ports and everyone says that it's useless. then they change it to only one HDMI port and everyone says how Sony breaks their promises. now that they may have switched it back to two it's still useless again. what gives?
no one's saying just ignore every negative article about the PS3. but Kotaku has said nothing but negative things about the PS3 (at least since TGS). i'm sorry, when the bulk of websites say how Resistance is great, it's kinda hard NOT to ignore a site that's notorious for dissing everything PS3. especially when by the article's own admission the author didn't really give the game a chance.
no, i think you WANT it to cost more in the US, as it would give you something else to slam the PS3 for.
while being as uncynical as i possibly can, i simply cannot believe this. while i'm all for the 360 succeeding in Japan (since i actually own one), i simply cannot see it being the preferred system over BOTH the PS3 and the Wii, especially considering that prior to TGS the 360 held about 1% of Japanese interest. i'll have to wait for something a bit more concrete (say from ign.com or gamespot.com) before i can accept this. if true then kudos to Microsoft. but my suspicions are through the...
i don't really see what the big deal is, considering that for the most part most PS2 games sold between $60 and $70 in Japan before being reduced to the sub $50 price in America. $75 to $80 PS3 games in Japan will more than likely translate to $60 PS3 games in America.
so, you came here to advertise Forza 2? you could've just found a news article about Forza 2 and posted it instead.
wrong. ukresistance is lying. they altered the image so that you didn't see the life-gauge on the right side of the screen.
any astute gamer can go to ign.com and see for themselves that the flight sequences in the actual gameplay look exactly like this image:
http://media.ps3.ign.com/me...
furthermore, that the site makes its claim that the earlier image is a CGI cut/paste job simply because the life-gauge is on the opposite side of the screen as before is ridiculous. if they hadn't altered the picture ...
ten of 360's hot titles are exclusives, while 6 of the PS3's hot titles are exclusives. not bad for either really, especially considering that for the PS3 these are launch titles. but still, this is just another site's opinion.
despite the flak that i'm gonna get from the 360 fanboy crowd, i'm gonna make an opinion that Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey will eventually find their way to the PS3 unless Microsoft buys Mistwalker (have they?). the 360 doesn't sell well enough for Mistwalker to bring in profits from Japan from their games, and unlike with Tecmo and Capcom (with their respective IPs Ninja Gaiden, DOA and Dead Rising) they won't bring in profits from America because the US 360 demograph don't like/appreciate ...
