Microsoft is a corporation. they're about as objective as most of the posters on this site. i'm not sure about the whole lesbian thing (quite sure there are a few working for the corporate giant), but Microsoft is an entity thats DEFINATELY subjective, a concept heavily supported by existentialism.
but in this case its a bit easier for me to get excited about Assassins Creed (which, from what i've heard, has only been showing in-game realtime renderings every since E306). simply because Ubisoft has never let me down with their games. Splinter Cell, PoP, GRAW have ALL delivered. there are relatively few developers who ALWAYS live up to their hype. along with Insomniac, Team Ninja, Konami, and a few others, Ubisoft is DEFINATELY one of them.
MGS, Halo, GTA, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Madden, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo...these are pretty much the biggest franchises in gaming history. considering EA own's Madden, and already has a worthy racer, that leaves the following genres: action/espionage, action/horror, rpg, open-world action sim, or an fps.
i like having my six bubbles, so i'm not even gonna describe the image that popped in my mind after reading that heading ;)
"T" rating for Zelda, one of Nintendo's most lauded, kiddie franchises? this has REALLY piqued my interest.
dude, this is all irrelevant to the point. Microsoft (and no one else) claimed that 1080 was virtually useless because it wouldn't be fully realized until next-gen. here you have two PS3 games proving them wrong. no matter the circumstances that these games are running at 1080p the fact remains that they are, and that is something that the 360 simply will not be able to do. and since the 360 can't do 1080p, Microsoft wants to go on some crusade saying how it isn't important to gaming, whe...
you mean people are actually sitting down waisting their time comparing box art!?!
its ironic you say that. i've recently gotten rid of my 360 copy. but when i had it i noticed the same problems you claim will be in the PS3 version. many proclaim it to be the best 360 game so far, and i believe thats an overstatement thats rendering another 360 classic under its deserved radar...GRAW.
i, like you, will wait for an official announcement of Oblivion going PS3 as well. while Oblivion going to the PS3 wouldn't necessarily be good or bad news to me, it WOULD a...
i guess it depends on who you're asking that question to paul. in this particular case i don't think it was anything Sony did that merited a lack of credibility on their behalf. they've always insisted that the PS3 would operate at 3.2 ghz; it was the fanboy-driven rumors produced and spread by certain gaming sites (such as the Inquirer, Joystiq etc) that instigated the whole thing about a supposed PS3 downgrade. that Sony actually lived up to their promise in this instant shouldn't really...
well if you feel that way don't you think some of those games could use your attention? i mean whats better: playing great 360 games, or coming to a site and slamming Sony fanboys for their own, rightful, personal opinions?
well i'm not sure if this goes according to your own special criteria for when things should be done, but if you look at the scans you'll notice that testing actually began on Aug 9th of this year, about round the time all those rumors started creeping up saying that the PS3 would be downgraded.
agreed on the PM thing. and though i was livid with the whole debacle, i'm still happy to hear that no one got banned. i think the mods handled the situation properly...by reducing some bubbles ;) hopefully this will teach us all a lesson; now maybe the rampant fanboyism on this site will cease.
a bit more than i'd originally expected, but it's still good to see that Nintendo's keeping to the traditional sub $300 price (unlike Microsoft and Sony). still not sure i wanna plunk down the money for one: bout the only games i'm interested in so far are Red Steel and Zelda. but still, nice for Nintendo. hopefully it works for them.
definately a getter for me. the graphical flare and additional content will probably dictate which version i get between the PS3 and the 360.
yeah, i was part of that lynching i must admit. it just angers me to know that people would stoop to such a lowly point in fanboyism (again, Microsoft and Sony fanboys alike) to do something like that. if i was out of line then i apologize. but no matter how harsh i was, multiple identities should NEVER be permitted under the circumstances that member was using them for (and i won't name names). it is good to see the mods working on it. i've noticed a lot of mod activity of late, and i'm...
"Digi-Times reported that Microsoft is selecting manufacturers in Taiwan to provide an internal HD DVD drive that will be used in a forthcoming Xbox 360 edition designed to compete with Sony's PlayStation 3."
i thought the 360 was already supposed to be capable of competing with the PS3? oh well, just as long as their version of hd-dvd isn't for games then i'm good...i have enough to worry about Sony forcing me to buy a blu-ray dvd player, i don't need Microsoft doin...
...as an aside. you must be one MEAN typist! even as the real deal i noticed how you would write multiple essay-long comments in the articles. you were able to do all that, and STILL post other comments under different user names!?! and even after this, you STILL had the time to play almost ALL of the 360 games (on Live to boot) on the 6 different systems that you, your wife, your kids and their friends share!?!
i just read 90% of all the comments. WOW! this is absolutely the lowest thing i have ever witnessed on this site, and is merely a visualization of how low fanboyism has gotten. i must admit, i have been VERY naive. until just now i honestly could not tell when someone (like you yourself) had been using multiple accounts. whats the point? you can preach anti-Sony/pro-Microsoft rhetoric until you turn pink-red-purple-blue-black in the face, and it will all be for naught. you can convince...
actually i myself am a Playstation fan (as well as XBox 360), so i guess its kinda hard for me to share in your sentiment. whats funny: if you review all the 54+ comments so far, you'll notice that most are from 360 fanboys slamming the idea of Sony partnering with XFire
you may or may not know that this is ingame stuff: thats really beside the point. what i was trying to say is that Ubisoft has never let its gamers down. so why doubt them, especially after the games i mentioned above?
