well, it seems that everyone's jumped the gun a bit.

so again, i guess we won't know nothing concrete until next Friday.

yeah, but are these disc commercially available?

7086d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

actually, i don't see why any HD-DVD news related to the 360 should be allowed to be posted on this site, since Microsoft has constantly denied the add-on will be for gaming whatsoever.

no different than Microsoft a year ago. are you happy with their rush job?

7086d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

i agree with you wholeheartedly Truth. but with the bad rep Sony's had lately, you'd be hard-pressed to find any Microsoft fan finding something to like about the PS3; they're so busy slamming Sony that they wanna slam all their products too--which in a sense is still Sony's own fault. its a shame really, as despite its price the PS3 is shapping up to be a steller system. to bad everyone's more concerned with the politics of gaming instead of gaming itself.

um, i remember my last exchange with you. and since i try my best to adhere to at least the applied rules of respect another gamer (let alone the new rules about posting on this site) i'll refrain from addressing you personally any further, on any topic. you can disagree all you want. it's still all a matter of opinion.

as i've said about Resistance, this is definately a system getter for the PS3. can't wait to see more, along with DMC4 and MGS4. hopefully they show something more/different than just arena-battling at TGS.

7086d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

well then Sony also has no say in games like MGS4 and Lair, but whenever the hoards of XBox fanboys come around saying how both games have shown nothing but pre-rendered cg, they always blame Sony for it.

TGS begins next Friday. if you really are interested in what the PS3 has to offer then i don't see why you couldn't just wait until then.

many of the products normal people use today range in the neighborhood of $800, from $200 IPods, to the $200-$300 cell phones, to the $400 flat-screen tv's, to $1000+ PC. whats ironic is that the projected life-cycle of a Playstation system (sans product malfunctions) is in the neighborhood of 5 years, a bit longer than PC's, IPods and cell phones, all of which usually are obsolete after a few years. you say that normal people only buy consoles under $200? strange; both PS's debuted at $30...

well i myself don't really need convincing. yeah $600 is a bit much, and yeah Sony really could do without Blu-ray; but when it's all said and done it's the games that matters, and thats where i foresee the PS3 delivering. Sony HAS said and done some questionable things, but the Playstation has ALWAYS delivered, at least as far as i'm concerned. Assassins Creed, FFXIII, MGS4, DMC4, Heavenly Sword, Naughty Dog's Big, Resistance, the newly announced Bioshock, Resident Evil 5, God of War 3 (b...

well using that logic you should assume that every developer will support the 360 and none will support the PS3, as the former will have a substantially greater installed base than the latter. this hasn't been nearly the case, considering that between the two there are only a handfull of worthwhile exclusives for both systems, and considering the fact that the rate of former big-named games assumed to be 360-exclusives being announced for the PS3 has caught up with the rate of big-named game...

no offense intended, but the funny thing is even if the PS3 sold only its allocation of 100K units in Japan at launch, thats still more than the 360 has sold in the land of the rising sun. and since Capcom is an inherently Japanese developer, its just as logical to assume that they'd support the PS3, which is still projected to reach a higher-installed base than all other next-gen/new-gen consoles, especially since the DMC franchise would sell more PS3's (as it is a series intrinsic to the P...

"new game announcements" it could just as well be Lost Planet or Dead Rising announced for the PS3. guess we won't know for sure until next Friday.

7087d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

well it wouldn't affect me one bit, as i don't buy used games. but i can see this being a problem for those who DO buy used games, and particularily for EB and Gamestop. its sad for the customers i guess, but if it cripples EB and Gamestop then i could really care less. they get over anyway, buying used games from customers for $15 then turning around and selling them for $45--a whopping $5 cheaper than new--with scratches on the disc and dents in the cases included.

yet sti...

well, the Sony fanboys--as you call them--probably felt the same way about Bioshock as you do about Tekken. maybe they didn't feel that $400 was justification just for Bioshock, and are now happy that it's coming to the PS3.

7087d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

well, gamespot had always listed it as for both the 360 and the PS3. if it turns out to be true then it'll definately be some welcome good news for the PS3. which version i get (if it is indeed a PS3 game) depends on visual quality and the extra content, both of which would be in PS3's favor.

well, Bungie's track record isn't perfect. before the behemoth Halo came about, Bungie was known for Oni, a medicore action game at best. they have sense managed to culminate all the best elements of its genre into a seemingly flawless fps; and i say they can do it again, with an entirely different genre. while most of the gamers in this feedback are saying that they should make a mmofps (which actually wouldn't be much different than what they've already made), i say they should make a ac...

this is the message that appears just above both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 articles on wikipedia.com. guess hardcore fanboys have tried to go into the articles and change them according to their liking. i can only imagine some of the changes they tried to make to the ar...
