for starters its an old story, and secondly Oblivion has been confirmed as a PS3 launch title. thirdly Smackdown vs. Raw is more of a cancellation out of necessity (more development time was needed, hence they canned it for the 08 version instead), and fourthly Dark RPG and Black Blade never really began in the first place to even be considered cancellations. that leaves Splinter Cell as the only viable next-gen game canceled for the PS3...and i'm quite sure that most PS fans can find some ...
well, just because a system is easier to develop for doesn't necessarily mean that it will be liked by most developers, especially when the trade-off to the more difficult-to-develop-for platform is superior hardware...from the developers stand-point. personally speaking, while i've been moderately impressed by my 360, i am a bit excited about some of the games it will have down the line. however, i am STILL just as excited (if not more so) by what the PS3 will offer. personally, while i a...
well, Ubisoft could utilize PS3 controller's motion-sensing capabilities to compensate for the lack of rumble. or, it could use the disc capacity of Blu-Ray to add bonus features. who knows? i'm just glad that one of the many anti-PS3 rumors can now be squashed.
this is probably how the statement originally went. ign.com just worded it wrong. glad that that matter can be cleared up. this story NEEDS to be approved, so that gamers can realize the truth and all the rumors can be laid to rest.
"jap"? "F**K EM!!!!"? kinda racial don't you think, especially over something as trivial as a video game console? and just so that you know, US and UK developers/publishers pretty much feel the same way as JapANESE developers, with the 360 fairing a bit better. however, no matter how you break it down, most developers see the PS3 as being the marginal victor overall of the next-gen console war. but those are developers, who think commercially and business-like. me pe...

Ninja Gaiden Sigma doesn't use any CGI, whatsoever. while those scans are from the cut-scenes, they were rendered in real-time. they were gameplay sequences. just thought i'd let you know.
you know how you play Gran Turismo, then you watch the exact same thing that you just played in replay? this video of Motorstorm is exactly like that. it is real-time, and it is gameplay. its like playing a racing game, and having the ability to manipulate the camera while you're driving.
well, Team Bondi (the game's developers) orignially announced the game only/specifically for the PS3. since then Rockstar picked up the publishing rights, and while they would neither confirm nor deny that it was a PS3 exclusive, they've only announced it as a "next-generation systems" game. so yeah, with the way things are going, this game will more than likely end up on both the PS3 and 360...and possibly even Wii. doesn't matter much to me. after San Andreas, i personally hav...
i concur. in those games the manufacturers (Atari, Sega, Nintendo etc) weren't nearly as concerned with market-share as they were with just simply delivering the goods; and to give Nintendo some accolades, to this day they are STILL more concerned with just making good games, as opposed to Microsoft and Sony, who seem more interested in slamming each other. if you really think about it, fanboyism today is merely the product of such efforts from Microsoft and Sony (when the fanboy bickering ...
i'd heard somewhere that the video shown for this game was actually running on DirectX10-enabled PC's? anywho, like i said before, i'll definately be keeping this one on my 360 radar. hopefully they'll release a demo or trailer (if they already haven't released a trailer) on marketplace soon.
while i agree that Sony needs to change, i don't think advertisment slogans are whats needed. heck, the very word SONY is advertisment enough. they need a better handle on public understanding and relations; thats where the change is needed. they have the right people (Ken K.) working the wrong jobs (CEO, when he should be a chief engineer or something; but he should NOT be making the costly decisions that he has).
true, Sony is being rather moronic about all this. but i don't think it was ever their intention to publically demean Immerson's credibility. in the interview where this was addressed, Kaz never said anything negative about Immersion. as a matter of fact, i don't think he even mentioned Immersion at all. it could be that they don't wanna have to pay royalties to Microsoft: to be honest i'm not even sure how that works. Sony owns something like 9% stock in Square-Enix (
for some reason the link doesn't work for me, so i'm unable to read the actual story. anyway, it matters little. i'm not that big of a fan of Gamestop. they rip people off by selling used (aka, scratched-disc, manuel-less and case-less) games for a whopping $5 cheaper than the same game new. furthermore, unless your lucky, you're likely to get served by one of the many fanboy-clerks they seem to employee nation-wide.
can something be done about a story being posted over and over again? i realize that sometimes a poster may not realize that a story has already been posted; but other times it's completely obvious that some people will post the same story to try to make a point. thats called spamming. case in point: the issue with PS3's overheating at TGS and the subsequent slide in Sony stocks has now been posted at least eight times. i know most of those times the story doesn't actually make it to the ...
dude, you just reported basically the same thing before this. this now makes like ten times this same news has been reported within the last day or two.
"I WAS right and you were wrong. Read the conversation. Its obvious."
sigh. thats completely NOT the point i was trying to make. i have no problem conceding when i'm wrong, as i did here:
http://www.news4gamers.com/...
nor do i have a problem proclaiming that i'm right. right and wrong is of little consequence to me in context to this particular instance. i'...
"I was simply having an intelligent debate with you but whatever. And besides you had an explosive exchange with me because I turned out to be right and you were wrong and you throw a tantrum and thats ok."
yeah, okay. you were right and i was wrong: i have six bubbles and you have four. go figure. anyone can objectively read that exchange and notice that i didn't start the name calling until you did. but i'm not placing blame, cause i too was at fault for even go...
dude, don't come to me talking about fanboyish. if i'd have said the reverse thing in support of the 360 we wouldn't even be having this argument.
well, the in-game cut-scenes in Ninja Gaiden Black looked exactly the same as the actual gameplay. however, in addition to the in-game cut-scenes, NGB also used CGI cut-scenes, which were obviously not rendered in real-time under the XBox's specifications. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, on the other hand, doesn't use any CGI cut-scenes. everything (even those CGI sequences you remember from NGB) are all rendered in real-time in NGS.
as far as Ninja Gaiden 2--i've said it before, and i'll...
