hmm, i guess you just missed the remaining 90% of the actual article, where ign had nothing but glowing praise for the system itself? besides, this news was posted a couple of days ago...contained within the REST of the article.

i guess thats one of the deciding differences between most Playstation fans and most XBox fans. i'm an admitted PS2 (soon to be PS3) fan true enough; however, except for the few times my system froze while playing Fable, i have never regretted purchasing my 360. i think it's a great system: not the best, but great nevertheless. and despite the hordes of hours i put into multi-playing in GRAW with my girlfriend, i still go back and play a couple of ours of Halo, Splinter Cell (until the new...

uh oh, i wonder what rumors are gonna get kicked-off from this interview? good read, btw.

um, yes. i'm quite sure that if i posted an article about a multi-platform game and marked it only as PS3, you'd have something to say about it. in any regard if you would've paid attention to what i said, you'd realize that my comment was more about the game.

this looks to be a drastic change from the cryptic sci-fi theme from the original trailer. still, any game with a Res Evil 4/GOW/GRAW type camera view is good for me. oh, and btw, even though this came from an XBox site, it should be marked as PS3 news as well. the game is due out on both systems.

good for you cyclonus. i've felt the exact same way (though my preference was for Playstation over XBox) every since 2003, when i bought my original XBox. true, Kaz and Ken are some big retards (Ken moreso than Kaz), but i've never had any true respect for CEOs' anyway: all they want is your money, and to squash the competition (except for Nintendo, who genuinely seems to be in it for the fun). brand loyalty is indeed for suckers.

um, only E3 was bad for Sony. and despite your assertion to the contrary, Nintendo was considered the true winner of E3, not Microsoft. as far as DigitalLife it doesn't say whether or not Microsoft was there (as far as gaming goes: the parent company WAS there, as Vista won best software catagory; so my guess is that the 360 was in some way part of the competition). however, if Microsoft gaming wasn't there, it really doesn't matter, because that would just mean that Leipzig doesn't count ...

did you read the article? Microsoft hasn't made money from the XBox brand in five years: and won't make any money for another year (if their projections are correct, which can be doubted, since no matter how they try to explain it, they still lost money this year when at first they projected that they'd make a profit). during the initial years of PSOne and PS2 Sony (like Microsoft) lost money on both systems to ensure a higher installed base. soon after both systems launched, they began to...

this entire site is a negative Sony/PS3 site. there are relatively few true gaming fans who prefer the Playstation systems (and by that i mean gamers who, yes, prefer the Playstation, but will test the waters of all systems and appreciate what they have to offer as well) on this site: most of the other Playstation fans are fanboys, which makes it harder for true fans to argue valid points. but this board is about 80% XBox die-hards. and 80% of that 80% are just as bad as the Playstation fa...

some website made the comment that the PS3's SIXAXIS (still think it sounds stupid) was about as light as the very first PSOne controllers, the one's without the analog sticks that were prominent during the 1995-1997 era. if true it would definately represent a step backward. even back then i thought those controllers were pretty light, especially when compared to the N64 w/rumble-pack controllers. it isn't necessarily something that would deter me from buying the system (not in the slight...

yeah, i found their opinion about the controller to be a bit disturbing. but when they admitted that they didn't really like the PS2 controller either, my fears were assuaged...a little. i myself found the PS2 controller to be about as perfect as you can get...next to the 360's controller. i figured it'd be light (with no vibration device), but i was a bit confused by their thoughts on the shoulder buttons. i didn't really see why their convex design should be all that problematic. maybe...

sure, the Japanese publisher (like so many publishers, developers, analysts, media-pundits, etc.) is saying that the PS3 will eventually win. but if you look at the total sales they've projected, its a marginal win, especially considering how big of a landslide Sony won in the current(soon-to-be-last) generation of PS2/XBox/Gamecube.

daewoodrow, what an underhanded way to spread the idiocy of separatism. if you believe what you preach then who am i to sway you, especially since you've formulated your ideas around something so trivial as video games? i'll just continue to have an unbigoted view on us (the U.S.), the world, and gaming; and i'll continue to enjoy both my 360 (from time to time), AND my PS2 (soon to be PS3). oh, and by the way: you don't WATCH manga, you read it. manga is basically the Japanese version of...

agreed truth. people like to point out how Sony will only have 400K systems come launch, as if they won't manufacture anymore after that. the PS3 will likely sell out of all 500K launch systems worldwide, and still probably won't sell as much as either the Wii or the 360. the short-termed thinker will say that thats a defeat: but it's long term that will matter. sure, the 360 has GOW, Mass Effect and Halo 3, all of which look very promising: but they're all being released at relatively th...

thats just my point. when surveys are in Sony's favor, they are meaningless. but when they aren't in Sony's favor, or when they're in Microsoft's favor, its all the "Death of Sony!" and "OMG! Sony Pwned!" and whatnot

7185d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

stuff like this can happen:

http://www.news4gamers.com/...

and everyone's talking about how it's good for Microsoft. now that Sony has some inkling of good news on its home turf its a different story. what about the survey that showed more Americans were interested in buying the PS3 (saying how the price wasn't really an issue) compared to both the Wii and the 360?

who knows? one thing's for certain, the 360 DEFINATELY won't win in Japan ;)
