well, with me it always came down to the games. despite the fact that Genesis seemed to have the inferior graphics, i never saw a reason to purchase a SNES until A Link to the Past came out. after that, i couldn't get enough of SNES (from Baseball 2020, to the original Mario Kart, to Pitfall, to Gradius, etc.), or the Genesis' Sonic, Strider, Mortal Kombat w/real blood (yeah, when you're 14 that sorta thing matters), Golden Axe, Shinobi etc. back then it was about the best of both (and in ...
dude, you already have two (2!) bubbles. shouldn't that tell you to chill? listen, i'm all for Playstation (and 360 too), but you gotta be more rational, respectful, constructive, and more importantly COHERENT with your responses. i'm just as glad as you that the PS3 will be having exclusive content, but that's no reason to start flame-wars.
who didn't see this coming?
well, according to that summation Wedbush could be wrong too.
eh, just as long as they don't release the next Xbox until at least 2012 then i'll be cool. it would suck to have to purchase another XBox only 3-4 years into the current 360's life-cycle. good to see that they're planning for the future, as it means that they're in this for the long haul, thus my investment wasn't unjust. but i wonder; Sony took some major flack for forwardly thinking when they announced that they were research/developing for the PS3 barely months into the PS2's life. ho...
i've been splitting my time between Dragon Quest VIII, Resident Evil 4 (nephew accidentally erased my old save), GRAW, Splinter Cell CT, and GTA San Andreas. i've had Shadow of the Colossus in my collection for a couple of months now, but between those aforementioned games i haven't had the time to get into it. it is a very...artistically-ambient... game, and i can't wait to delve into it when i get the chance (who knows when that'll be, with FFXII, Splinter Cell DA, GOW and PS3 on the hori...
it's kinda hard to say. the video was definately old. however, with the written article, it's hard to say. on the one part it has recent news about the Eurpoean delay, but on the other part it only seems to refer to stuff from E3 (when there have been other announcements/game trade-shows since E3), and it says how Warhawk is the only game known to utilize the tilt-functionality.
yeah, i forgot about downloadable PSOne games. now that i think about it, i just might sell my copies of Suikoden 1 and 2 on ebay (for about $90 apiece), wait for the PS3 and just download them onto the hardrive.
good to see that Sony has its e-distribution games up and running, though i'm still curious as to what David Jaffe's game will be all about. nice find Astaroth
"Capcom's platform stragegy is to introduce multi-platform products in order to increase sales, thereby maximizing profits. We will also invest agressively in the development of software for next-generation game systems. Multiple titles are being developed already, including the latest titles of the 'Resident Evil' and 'Devil May Cry' series."
now, from that you can make all sorts of assertions. for instance, since the article starts off with, "Capcom's platfo...
Ubisoft never denied that AC was coming to the 360. they just kept saying that "Assassin's Creed is only announced for the PS3." thats a vague statement that can mean anything. on the other hand, we have Capcom's director of marketing flat-out saying that DMC4 will not come to the 360. there was no "DMC4 is only announced for the PS3." he gave a flat-out "No" answer. with the way things are going it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see all three IP's (DMC, L...
someone already tried to post this as news. look, i'm all for the theory that DMC4 may come to the XBox 360, but herein this article is no proof. all it says is that Resident Evil 5 and DMC4 are intended for next-gen consoles. it doesn't specifically say what game is going to which console.
so many games are optomized for specific systems, and they all eventually end up being ported. Residtent Evil 4 on the Gamecube was a case-in-point for Capcom. They may be making decent money in America, but the sore-spot that will steadily nudge Capcom towards porting LP and Dead Rising to the PS3 will be Japan. nigh every major franchise will be multi-platform, and i'm starting to think that that may not be a good thing. if all games are on all systems, whats the incentive of buying mor...
nope. logical-deduction seems to be a concept that escapes most of the fanboys on this site. i for one feel ya.
the article was to vague to make any conclusive inference. in any event, no, it wouldn't surprise me to see DMC4 go multi-platform. neither would it surprise me to see LP or Dead Rising be ported as well, imo.
GOW has been in development longer than RFOM. it would be fairer to compare GOW to UT2007 on the PS3.
"pwnes" mean owns. something about it being a typo that just stuck as a catch-phrase. in any event this, along with majority of Sony articles, will just turn into a flame-war, though part of me thinks that wasn't Outlaw's true intentions.
come on dude, lets not start with that right now. just admire the game. no need to start flame-wars.
yeah, i know EA has had about 9 months more development time compared to the 360 version, but even the most jaded, hardcore 360 fanboy gotta admit that those screens are simply breath-taking!
aw man, Streets of Rage 1 and 2! how could i forget about those two? i especially liked the second one, with the kid on skates (i forget what his name was). i could never get passed the egg-head dude on the original Punch Out (i think he was like the seventh opponent, or some such), but that never stopped me from playing it. then there was Double Dragon on both the Master System and the NES. the cool thing about those two games were that both versions were kinda different (the Master Sys...
