eh, i'll need something a bit more official than this to believe it. PS3 games are priced no higher than 360 games in both Japan and (presumably) the US. i can't see why they'd price them so much more in the UK and the rest of Europe.

good if true. but where't the link to the source?

well, i ain't here to debate the ramifications of whats possible or impossible. if Sony and Insomniac feel confident that they can do it then i say kudos, even though i don't game online enough for it to be that much of a useful feature for me.

the pot and the kettle. how's that for sarcasm? ;)

if you knew enough about the PS3 to have saved up $600 for one, then you should've already known about the delay. if you're an average-Joe shopper, who walked into Woolworth one day and said, "Hey, I have a measly $600 in my pocket. I Think I'll pre-order a PS3 with it." then chances are you won't feel betrayed once you find out its been delayed. ;) just kiddin with ya.

i live in a pretty substantial city in the US, and i haven't seen a Woolworths in about 15 years. anywho, unless Woolworths knows something no one else does, they're gonna have a butt-load of angry consumers come 11/17.

you've always seemed level-headed and respectful with your news and comments. you're definately a minority amidst a majority of bickering, name-callilng fanboys. how come you only have five bubbles instead of six?

i HAD it for my 360, but got rid of it after a month or so. i've been thinking about rebuying it, thats why i'm asking if the extra content will cost?

my interest in the Wii lies only in the old classic NES, SNES and N64 games. while i give Nintendo accolades for their trying to expand gaming, i just don't think their radically-designed controller is the right approach. much like you, i just don't relish the thought of having to perfor acrobatics just to play games. personally, i think the Wii will sell well initially, but will soon fiddle and settle for third place once people realize how tiresome its controller than be.

true, so far Microsoft is doing an excellent job (though that's more or less by default, as Sony's PR has been horrendous). but Sony's success is neither due to them lying or the huge headstart they had.

"Sony lied about it and therefor Dreamcast failed (lack of money). Then the PS2 was there alone to sell."

i never really understood this. though XBox's was much better, Sony nevertheless delivered on their promise of online. i remember the tag-line of "...

i try my best to be respectful and open-minded on this site, and with gaming in general. thats the only way you can truly enjoy gaming. most fanboys are so paranoid about the competition that they are blinded to this fact, they are blinded to what they may be missing out on on other systems. they can't even realize that as a true gamer, there really IS no such thing as competition. Microsoft and Nintendo are Sony's competition; Sony and Microsoft Nintendo's; Sony and Nintendo Microsoft's....

personally and honestly, back in the days of the N64 rumble-feedback was a concept that at first i abhorred. i thought it detracted from the overall experience of the gameplay. but i soon buckled down and dropped the cash for a rumblepak. it took some time for the feedback to grow on me, but it did nevertheless. i think it's a great feature, but--being honest--i can live without it. half the time when i'm playing my PS2 or 360 i don't even notice when my controller rumbles. as it stands...

Joystiq only comments vaguely on how ign actually praised the rest of the system. but they decide to focus heavily on the only negative thing about the article. whats funny is there's really nothing to worry about. while it seems that ign themselves never really liked the Dual Shock, they did say that the Sixaxis is pretty much the same. so, that they compare the Sixaxis (still a sucky name) to the Dual Shock is a good thing...at least for most PS2 fans who also liked the Dual Shock

its pretty cool that they're making this all available in a re-release to coincide with the PS3's version. will the content cost extra if you download it on Live? i've been thinking about rebuying the game, but am yet still undecided.

my bad. i wasn't sure if it was or not, thats why i posted it. hopefully the mods won't approve it, as i myself hate it when people post the same news more than once.

if Microsoft turned GTA down "back in the day" because the series "caused so much drama", then why are they full of glee that it's coming to the 360 day-and-date with the PS3 version, especially after the whole Hot Coffee scandal? furthermore, how is it possible that Microsoft turned GTA down due to drama? GTA didn't gain public attention until GTA 3, which came out on the PS2 around the same time as the original XBox. it wasn't out long enough to cause "drama"...

i'm not refuting any of that. however, what will happen if in 3 years time they realize that they aren't making money with the 360? they did nothing but lose money with the original XBox (of which i actually bought two), and they dropped it like a bad habbit barely four years into its life-cycle. i don't want that to happen with the 360. obviously i support the 360 (otherwise i wouldn't have bought the system); but i also want Microsoft to help me support the 360 by keeping it around for ...

i haven't even beaten Chaos Theory yet, so i know i'm gonna wait for this one. may get it sometime in December. great score, though i didn't read the entire review. i hope what nodoze says isn't true...that the single-player game is only 8-10 hours? if so then i probably will wait a bit, until Ubisoft release some extra maps, missions etc. via Live.

then you're saying i shouldn't bother with Splinter Cell 4?
