Microsoft hasn't made a profit in the videogame industry since they entered it. as a matter of fact, they've lost a substantial amount of money from it. Sony on the other hand has lost substantially with the PS3 already, and will probably continue to lose money on the PS3 for the next couple of years. but unlike Microsoft, Sony can at the very least lean on profits generated from both the PSP and the PS2 (the latter of which turns more than 50% profit per system sold). sure, Sony will mor...

i think everyone except for 360 fanboys realizes this specialguest. hopefully it'll work out for Microsoft in Japan, though i SERIOUSLY doubt it, even after Blue Dragon (which, btw, is one of the 360 games i'm personally waiting for).

eh. 100,000 in 7 months is considered a lot? ;) guess we all now know which market is the least important (no offense to Australians...i was just kidding with ya). even still, if its a record broken then i guess kudos are in order for Microsoft. good job!

you're all so self-absorbed with the power of your console (funny; last i checked these were Sony's and Microsoft's products, not your own) that you've completely missed my point. so what if one is marginally more powerful than the other? it shouldn't even be about graphics, especially since both systems are pretty much at the pinnacle of graphical capabilities. i didn't buy my 360 because GOW, Halo 3, Fable 2 etc. looked gorgeous: i bought it because they looked FUN. i'm not anticipating...

i'm one of the biggest fans of Ratchet and Clank and Jak, but even I must admit that this Viva Pinata is the kiddiest piece of poo i have EVER seen (but then again, i haven't seen much by way kiddie games since 1998, the last time i owned a Nintendo system). the graphics were gorgeous nevertheless...dare i say it, but they were easily comparable to Toy Story. however, great graphics notwithstanding, this game is definately NOT a game to weigh as a deterrent to purchasing a PS3. but then ag...

isn't BIA a WWII fps? if so then i'm good: i just don't do WWII fps, unless its Resistance. sucks for Assassins Creed though, as it was one of my most awaited games. but i guess GRAW 2 can assuage AC's delay. last i heard was that GRAW 2 was coming to both the PS3 and the 360. wonder if thats still true?

about to download it in a couple of minutes, so i can see what all the hoopla's all about.

hypothetically speaking, what if they aren't the same graphically? just what if the PS3 does eventually start to have a noticable graphical edge between the two?

they do have Sony Elite Guards stationed in all major facilities. they're called London judges ;)

in essence it is the same; you're just looking at it subjectively. the only difference is that Microsoft is the proprietor of the 360. it was easy for them to sell it to who they want when they want, since there were no third-parties involved to skewer their intentions, and since 360 weren't region-free like PSP's are. this is a right Sony had with the PSP as well. the only difference is that Sony's right to fraction their markets the way they wanted to was underhanded by Lik-Sang, who fe...

Lik-Sang was just skewering the market, especially since thousands of Asian consumers were probably waiting patiently to buy all those PSP's Lik-Sang took from them to export to Europe. its really no different than when 360 prospect-buyers cried foul when Microsoft skirted the US market during its launch in favor of Japan, who had showed nothing but apathy towards the 360.

Max Payne has always been a multi-platform title. if you'd assume that it's coming to the 360, you may as well assume that its PS3 bound too. just fyi.

are those North American numbers, or worldwide numbers? it can't be just North American. if it was then that'd mean that Europe has sold at least that much (since everyone's saying how they're the biggest market); meaning the 360 has sold in the neighborhood of 13 million already. so i'll assume that that 6.4 million is worldwide sales. that means they'd have to sell aprox. 3.6 million systems to reach their 10 million goal. i just don't see that happening in TWO (2) months. 4.5 million...

Sony took Lik-Sang to court. it was Lik Sang who, by your own admission, didn't show up. and you're accusing Sony of not being able to win the case by its merits? money for legal-action should be something that every company has...not sure how it works in other countries, but even the most crooked criminals/defendants in America have a right to legal representation. if Lik-Sang was so broke that they couldn't afford their own legal expenses, then the company was seriously doomed financial...

"...have recently obtained a judgment in the High Court of London (England) rendering Lik-Sang's sales of PSP consoles unlawful."

in other words Sony made it to court and won a judgment on its behalf.

thanks for your one unconstructive comment. now, by your own previous efforts, you are forced to silence.

well of course not andy capps. you have people like the mart (who has allowed his one-sided animosity towards Sony to lead him on some irrelevant crusade), who preach all this talk about banning Sony TV's, which operates under another whole division of Sony than PS3. if Sony as a whole should be banned for trying to protect their own interest, why not ban Microsoft who has bullied other company's interest, and made the market stagnant by monopolizing the computer industry? Sony is a much l...

...that the RSX is still said to run at 550 mhz, and has not been downgraded to 500 mhz like other people have said. not sure how true this is, but there you have it. i'm pretty sure there will be a few 360-fanatics who'll come along with proof that it's been downgraded to 500.

analog controllers were a staple in the Atari and ColecoVision days. rumble feedback was around in the arcades back in the 80's. Nintendo didn't invent the ideas, they just implemented them in the N64 controllers.
