this is a very jaded submission by the mart. "360 wins hands down" then he goes on to compare the 360 and the PS3, as if Gamedaily said naught about the Wii. yeah, i know the true battle is between the PS3 and the 360, but you're talking about a fledgling system going against one that is approaching its maturity. obviously the latter will have the better games relatively speaking. most casual gamers won't realize, or even care about this, and the advantage will go to the 360; bu...

hmm...i guess it's still too late to disclude Blu-ray from the PS3 then huh?

"...and as you know, we haven't changed our full-year forecast of six million units [by March 2007]..." yeah. you're probably gonna wait to change that on 12/30/2006. having faith in the PS3 as a videogame console is easy. but it's a bit harder to have faith in a format that's caused said videogame console to be delayed two times.

that's a very arbitrary argument. so what, now are we to doubt every Playstation review there is, even the sound ones praising games like Ratchet and Clank, while dogging games like Killzone, simply because of Sony Picture's woes? besides, what does this have to do with SCE? if Sony has proven anything lately its that Division A operates under co-independence from Division B.

empire? Microsoft's the true empire. sure, Sony's the dominate force in videogames, but it's other divisions (electronics, computers, movies, music etc) share in the likes of equal competition with Samsung, HP, Fox etc. Microsoft are a complete monopoly in the computer OS industry; they have been for the past two decades. the only reason they entered into the videogame industry is because they saw Sony as a threat in that sector. if there is any empire in this business it's Microsoft, no...

the distinction between black and white is primordial; it predates the stereotypes of our civilization's cultures' by about 13 billion years. that this dude refused to acknowledge this, and instead chooses to liken something as trivial as Shadow the Hedgehog to a real problem that still plagues the world, is perhaps the most extreme mockery of the life-long sacrificies made by anti-racism activist.

i counted seven things in that entire interview that the fanboys will use to start the flame wars. they are:

1. GamePro
2. Exclusive
3. Assassin's
4. Creed
5. Q
6. &
7. A

hopefully this will remain peaceful and civil, but i ain't holding my breath. for my part i can't wait for the game, even after it's buzz has died a bit since Ubisoft announced it was multi-platform.

yeah. i picked it up after work yesterday evening and played it for about 40 minutes. the intro was great: great music, and voice acting so far is amongst the best i've ever heard in a game. and i completely dig the new battle system, though so far Reks has been slow in battle (for everytime i hit an enemy said enemy hit me like twice). but since he isn't the main character, and his section's supposed to be the prologue for the true game, i guess its no biggie. but the battle system, alo...

i didn't say that GOW was "Legendary Status". i said it was HUGE. there's a difference. Microsoft and Epic have poured tons of money into the production and marketing of GOW. the 360's fanbase is awaiting the game probably just as much as Halo 3. it is perhaps the 360's most important game (not best, but important); thus it is HUGE.

my comment was stupid? to someone whose too dense to understand my underlining intent, sure, it was a stupid comment. but use some common sense dude. why would i allow drivel fanboys to make me regret a $600 investment? i was just pointing out the fact that fanboys are the distaste of gaming, and are the very reason most non-gamers look upon gaming as an obsession-inducing nerds niche.

but i do find it curious that you seriously try to compare gaming to sports, politics and...

i'm not saying that it should'nt be free. but to charge for something as trite as swords and horse armor, but then make an almost-expansion free? like i said, a true paradox. this will be the Achilles-heel of gaming growth.

well, while i didn't read the entire review, i thought SC Double Agent was/is a great game. it's a little on the short side (or so i hear; haven't beaten it yet myself; i'm on the Kinshasa mission, where you have to bug Emile's meeting); but otherwise a worthy extension in such an august series. i haven't actually played through Chaos Theory yet (kinda taking a zig-zag approach through the series, as i've beaten part one and played about 50% of Pandora Tomorrow); but in comparison to the fi...

what else could they do? i mean, obviously they couldn't charge for simple item downloads like swords and horse armor, and then turn around and give away for free a download that's basically an expansion. and it would've been even MORE wrong for them not offer it to the "loyal" 360 crowd in any form at all. thats why i say this whole "downloadable content for a price" business will be gaming's biggest and worst paradox.

GOW, Fable 2, Halo 3, Bioshock, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell 5...and now Elveon. the list of 360 exclusives is definately an impressive one. set in a fantasy universe, and more akin to Silmarilion than LotR? you can definately count me in.

i can understand selling older stuff (such as PS2's) in different colors to generate public interest/awareness and to increase stagnant sales. but with the PSP it will be almost meaningless. the PSP is too new for its sales to be so low that Sony has to commence to the plethora of Lucky Charms colors. it doesn't need new color designs, it needs better GAMES. i bought a PSP twice (once when it first came out, and again right before Liberty City); and i got rid of it BOTH times, with no int...

i guess it just depends on when you're talking about. i mean, at this point it's obvious that such games as Resistance, FNR3, F.E.A.R. etc. will be released around their projected release dates. but with games further out, such as Assassins Creed, MGS4, and even to closer future releases like Lair, Motorstorm, Burnout 5 it's a bit harder to be certain. the general rule of thumb is that if a game is SUPER HUGE (the Halos', the GTAs', the MGS', the FFs', the Gran Turismos', the GOWs' etc.) t...

this is the kinda crap that makes me regret buying my 360...fanboys! no i haven't had any problems out of my 360...but what does PS3 fans have to do with anything? this article was posted by DC Rider 360, one of news4gamer's BIGGEST 360/Microsoft fanboys. furthermore, it came from a XBox 360 site. if Microsoft botched somehting up then they should fess up to it, not allow their fanboys to try to place the blame on other fanboys.

SWEET! i went into my local Gamestop about a week ago, and saw this used for $39.99. i almost went against my own caveat and bought it (i stopped buying used games from Gamestop about 5 years ago, because of their shody practices); but something told me to wait. glad i did. now i can get the re-print for new, for $20 bucks. ZOE (and especially Second Runner) were great games. Konami would be fools not to continue the series on the PS3...or, maybe even the 360.

7034d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

hmmm. not enough juicy "PS3 better than 360 better than PS3" garbage in their to fester a flame war between the fanboys. i predict this article will get little attention.

7035d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

come on dude. these are reviews about PS3 games. why are you instigating fanboy flame wars?

7035d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

neither of you could've said it better. it's pretty sad that some people take gaming so seriously that they're willing to endourse cultural divide. i personally don't like Ridge Racers, and will probably like Resistance infinitely more; however, thats no reason to say that the Japanese taste is "focked up". they just so happen to make the best rpgs ever, two of which Microsoft and its fanboys are hoping will turn the tide of the 360 in the land of the rising sun.
