most "People" aren't really tolerant of games at all. however, most "Gamers" love long games...you know, how all those millions of "Gamers" bought GTA IV knowing full well it'd be at least 50 hours long. this generation surprises me in a good way one minute, then baffles me the next. last generation games were cheaper and usually longer. this generation games cost more are shorter...with online multiplayer tacked on. for $60 i want both quality and quantity....

...XBox 360 has been on the market an entire year before the competition. but okay, well done Microsoft, if that makes you feel better. seriously, sites report more "My willy's bigger than yours" garbage from Microsoft and Sony than they do on actual games.

i probably would've assumed the same thing. like the person said, Live is known for how abusive its gamers are. Microsoft probably assumed "thegayergamer" was mocking actual gay people, and banned the name for that reason too.

"He believes in his game..."

what developer doesn't believe in his or her game? still, i think Gears of War 2 will be great. not sure if it'll be the best this christmas (its facing some stiff competition with Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2 etc), but its definitely on my "Can't wait to have" list.

i never played KOTOR, but i have the Limited Edition of ME on my 360. initially i thought it was the 360's best game, but after the novelty of it wore off i realized that it was just a good game, nothing revolutionary. it was plagued with graphical glitches (mainly really bad texture pop-in that seems to plague Unreal Engine 3 games on the 360), but i hope Bioware fixes these with ME2. i'd still recommend the game though, as it has one of the best sci-fi stories that i've played in a game....

"What is even more interesting is that Microsoft not mentioning Mass Effect 2 at all this year confirms what many Xbox fans have feared, and everyone else knew—Electronic Arts is taking complete control of the franchise from Microsoft, and the franchise will be finding its way to PlayStation 3 in one form or another."

i never understood the thinking of fanboys. exactly WHY would XBox fans fear Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3? even if it comes to the PS3 (which this ...

maybe the strong PSP sales will be enough to convince Sony to through Capcom a little money so that MH3 can come back to the PS3, at least as a multiplatform game.

actually, the best way to determine a system's strenghts is its exclusives, because then you know the developers optimized the game for that specific console. GRID is indistinguishable between consoles. to date it is the best looking racer on the 360; however, it is NOT the best looking racer on the PS3. GT5 Prologue still retains that honor, and handily. not saying one is better than the other, just that one looks better than the other.

even still, i think gamers spend way...

20+ hours of gameplay is indeed impressive in this day and age of sub-10 hour games (yep, i'm looking at you Uncharted, CoD4, Assassin's Creed etc.). but i have a question: can you play the entire game (as in both combat and non-combat) in 3rd person over-the-shoulder mode?

why do you believe multiplatform games run better on the 360 than the PS3? mind you, i have both systems, and usually make multiplatform purchases according to which controller i prefer (360 for fps' and racers, and PS3 for everything else). to date the only games i have noticed perform better on the 360 was Madden 08, MLB 2k8, Splinter Cell Double Agent and possibly Stranglehold. majority of everything else is equal on both platform, while a slim few (GTA IV, CoD4, Burnout Paradise) look ...

um, there's nothing honest about this. this video will be viewed by the unsuspecting viewer as proof that 360 GRID > PS3 GRID, when that simply is not the case. it makes me wonder if and how often "mistakes" like this have been made in comparison videos before.

and mine has been flawless (well, except the lack of multiplayer for a few days). but man, my sympathy to all those 60gb PS3 owners who aren't able to play the game. still, i don't see how this can be a hardware issue, since the problem is exclusive to GTA IV.

nope. because in addition to being a genuinely awesome game, GTA (series) has one thing that no other game really has: controversy.

um, how does story posting work on this site? i had to go to two other different sources to find out that the demo also comes to PSN today. shouldn't this have been marked both for 360 and PS3? or is it only marked according to the info gathered from the source? if thats the case would it be considered a duplicate story if i posted the ign article where it states that the demo is coming to BOTH systems today, and not just Live?

pretty impressive for both systems, but especially the PS3 considering its lower install base and lack of DLC (so far anyway).

anyway, i guess Valve are entitled to their own opinion, even if i, as a gamer, think its a flawed one. as a PS360 owner (and co-owner of a Wii), the only way Valve can negatively effect me is if they decided to make Portal 2 exclusively on the 3DO or something. however, i question Valve's lack of motivation to exploit PS3's untapped potential (potential games like GT5, Heavy Rain, 8Days, Killzone 2, LBP etc. have proven does exist), because it means that as a gamer, i'm not experiencing tr...

well, i didn't read the article (kotaku's blocked on my work computer), but just going by the heading alone, i don't really see the merit of the question. for starters while GTA IV freezing is more wide-spread on PS3, it isn't limited to that system. secondly i'm sure its relatively easy to fix the problem (whatever it may be) with a patch; no amount of patching is fixing RRoD. thirdly, if your copy's faulty, i'm sure you can just take it back wherever you got it and do an exchange. fourt...

not sure i'd call it "hard" but it's definitely different than previous GTAs. so far i think my biggest issue (which is almost a misnomer, since its not really an issue) with the game is how easy it is to escape the cops, though i must admit i haven't gotten above a 2-star wanted level just yet.

WOW! the PS3 version completely trashes the 360 version. now excuse me while i plant my face on my tv screen so that i can enjoy this awesome game in 400% zoom ~sarcasm~
