Yeah, on top of that who wants to buy COD every year? Seriously.. any good MP game should easily be good for 2-3 years before needing a sequel if it has enough content or a few updates here and there.

The problem with bigger devices is playing them on your side in bed, Vita and before that was fine. Since the Switch you gotta have a gooseneck holder & controllers detached so you can lie down holding them, or your arm will quickly get tired.

Not many people have decent computers though, look at Steam charts, many own junk (by today's mid-high end standard) GPUs and probably CPUs too, so depending on the game many of them aren't going to run too good.

No.. Jensen believes GPUs should stay expensive. Those wanting a top end GPU will have to splash out for it, or play at just 1080p and 60fps or something if you can only afford a low end option.

On the other hand if you don't care about RT or AI performance then there's always AMD that are doing ok at the mid range.

@babadook7 People can game on whatever they want, I have no issue with it, I barely game (if ever atm) these days because many titles are just rehashes of older stuff, I look forward to S&box and some other games here and there, but not that much, I'm more interested in watching Twitch or YouTube, or messing around with AI programs or other software. I'm just stating that being a "Pro" console it could've been better, I'd say it's a bit lop sided towards the ...

"pretty good" is not good enough, 3000 chips (Zen 2) were decent at the time, not even the best though if counting just games alone as Intel was still a bit better on minimum frame rates with their 8700k that came out the same year as Zen 1! A Whole 2 years before Zen 2 launched. Granted AMD have been doing better since then, but we're still talking about a CPU that came out in 2019 and we've had good advances since then.. and people are expecting 60FPS in games like GTA 6 w...

The CPU certainly needed an upgrade, UE 5 titles are going to have a bit of a hard time with that Zen 2 CPU, that's why Robocop has FPS dips.

Valve are not interested in consoles, well Gabe Newell isn't, they would hand it to someone else to port the game over if they were going to do that.

@anast

If you spend a few thousand you usually get far better performance than console at higher resolutions, that's the point, and not always are GPUs bad value. With consoles the games generally cost more, and you have to pay the online subscription fee, that's where they make their money back from console gamers.

Nah, the PC version of the 3D SP game wasn't terrible.. Average? Yea, the online play was kind of fun, the main issue was the repetitive enemies in single player especially early on.. Just tons of turkeys.

They should've made a Hit & Run esque game like that one that was cancelled, would've at least had potential to be fun.

TBF it just depends what you're used to, if you've played at 90+FPS on a decent screen then even dipping to 60 can look a bit choppy. Granted it also depends if using an LCD or OLED as well as that has an effect on smoothness, it's not the same as CRT days.

The UK is the biggest junk country pandering to that nonsense as well, with laws against free speech and expression to match. It got so bad even Rowan Atkinson made a video on free speech about it.

Now the UK raises the age rating on harmless films like Mary Poppins, it's just a load of pansy weak ass nonsense.

Hard to disagree with that, really how can all the other games (especially after it) have less single player content?

DKR managed a better game on the 64 and Mario Kart gets away with literally the bare minimum all the time.

Final Fight was a great game on the CD, not only on the system but as a fighting game of the time as well. Up there in some ways with Streets of Rage 2 IMO. It's too bad they didn't continue putting the rest of them on there, the music is top notch too.

If Apple end up making household robots (which appear to be on their way) you just know they'd price them much higher than the competition, it'd be like Android Vs Apple again.

Meanwhile, Nintendo will gimp their hardware wherever possible just to save a small percentage.

I expect the next Switch will be a decent boost over what they have now, given they've milked it so much already. I also expect it will probably be easily emulated within a year or so of release.

Wonder if there's stats for what hardware the majority of players were using, be a bit of a junk experience if using lower end stuff.. But I mean at least there's plenty of variety of games that suit lower end hardware just fine.

Actually, just checked, you can get away with a lowly 2060 & a 9700k or 3700x and 16 gigs of RAM for 1080p 60, not an issue then for lower end gamers. h...

Yes the rumours are still Zen 2, and yes GTA 6 with little doubt will be CPU bottlenecked, it's not just about clock speed it's IPC, or how much the processor can do at a given clock speed, and current ones are far ahead and we're just around the corner from the Zen 5 chips on desktop.

Zen 2 was a good chip but even at the time Intel was still ahead for the most part with their 8700k which came out the same year as Zen 1.

The single player was by far better than MK64, not sure about the multiplayer as I don't recall playing DKR with someone else.

The thing I noticed with DKR was that the enemy racers seem to hardly use power ups against you, but they are pretty aggressive in keeping pace or passing you so maybe that's why they made them use power ups less than MK.
