It's either BS or maybe they caught wind of MS possibly releasing a bit earlier like they did with the 360.

@PRIMORDUS

Yep I prefer Nvidia as well, especially if you make use of their features and use AI apps. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 5090 turns out but not sure if I'll get one yet. 5080 looks too cut down going by rumours anyways.

Looks like some people are pretty salty over my comment, but it's no secret that equivalent and better PC GPUs have been around for a while, so they're bound to get discounted right before next gen.

612d ago 32 agree43 disagreeView comment

These GPUs have seen good discounts recently, they've been on hot UK deals a few times now, they look like good value mid range cards for UE5 etc.. because they provide decent FPS, and midrange and lower Nvidia cards keep getting worse in terms of price to performance. This looks set to continue with there being a big gap between the 5080 (more like a 5070) and the 5090 which looks like it could be a total monster.

Either way, I wouldn't buy any GPU ATM unless desp...

Frame generation adds input lag so yeah you still need decent hardware to drive high FPS, most PC players don't like it because of that, DLSS is fine for the most part though because these days it works so well.

Nvidia have much better RT, upscaling with DLSS, and AI performance vs AMD at the moment. So if the game is demanding you will need one of their upper tier cards to get good performance anyway if you want to use RT.

My main issue with the Pro is that it's using an outdated CPU but with decent mid level AMD graphics, unbalanced.

Some people compare the Wii U to the Dreamcast, I don't really get why.. Wii U came out just before next gen machines and it was basically the same power as a 360, Dreamcast was actually quite powerful for its time. Not really a comparison there.

6 years is better but it would be cutting it fine considering 30-40%+ uplifts happen on PC every 2 years in GPUs, and sometimes up to 20% or more each CPU gen, there would still be cutbacks on heavy games but sure it would be better than the usual 8 year cycle.

"all your games" until they show you ones that utilize the CPU a good amount..

620d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

Not possible to release a machine that would last until next gen unless you want new gens releasing every 4-5 years and increase the cost of the machine to allow for better hardware, which in turn would mean a console that's a bit bigger to allow for good cooling.

Underpowered, should've come out 1-2 years ago. I think the 12 gigs of ram is also cutting it very fine, 1-2GB will be reserved for the system and that leaves maybe a fairly miniscule 10GB (by today's standards) for games.

I've no doubt 1st party games will look good, 3rd party will be an issue again and there we're obviously gonna see a ton of ports that the original Switch couldn't handle, so there'll be like 2-3 years of ports until next gen conso...

More content is always a good thing, the previous entry has a lot but they really should've done free DLC even if they just added in 2 more boards or something and a few other extras, still a good game but just a bit light on board count.

Ye, Custom Robo Arena was a lot better than Pokemon anyways, now that's a game.

@Charlieboy

Spoken like a true clueless person.

Not gonna waste my time so I'm gonna make it short, the comparison was made with a 3600 CPU because it's a cheap equivalent to the PS5 CPU in speed, so once again (for the 3rd time) I have to say, it's not what he recommends.

You can build better as I already said which is far more up to date and better than PS5 Pro, and still not much more.

You can say conso...

@ocelot07 Well I can't disagree there. He really should've included an AM5 build in there either before mentioning the AM4 setup or after, seeing as it doesn't add all that much cost considering how much you'd be spending anyway, it makes sense.

Mind you, we don't even know if AM5 will support Zen 6 on the current boards, I would hope so though given Zen 5 was pretty much a flop.

Windows keys can also be had much cheaper than 100 via k...

Well it looks like you didn't listen either, because he literally says it's not what he would necessarily recommend.

629d ago 7 agree4 disagreeView comment

He literally tells you that it's not a high end CPU, did you even listen to what he was saying? Seems like no to me, you probably watched like 2 minutes and then turned it off and formed an opinion from that, dear lord.
It's a cost effective build. Of course it's not future proof, neither is a console. It wouldn't add much more to import a Zen 4 7700 chip from something like Aliexpress, then obviously need compatible board/ram.

Daniel Owen on YT already did a comprehensive video on beating the Pro for below 1,000 USD and it doesn't even use top of the line parts...

Where do people get this nonsense from that you need to spend like 4x+ more to match console? This is even less true now given the price of the Pro.

What do you expect when using the same outdated CPU? Prices come down, PC gets cheaper, it's not hard to keep fairly up to date hardware every 2-3 years, hardly a...
