If games are gonna take 6+ years to make for each new one..
If it's the odd one off it's fine, I don't see what's wrong with making quality games in a few years, not everything has to be super cinematic and realistic, and anyway AI tools will go a long way to helping create landscapes etc faster, and then Devs can just tune as they like and touch it up.
These handheld PCs are only going to be any good for low/moderately hardware heavy games at med/lower settings if you want decent performance, and there are games suited for it.. just don't expect anywhere near even a mid level PC. Though with rumours of the Switch 2 being similar to the Deck I imagine Nintendo will get leapfrogged by a new Deck within maybe a year or so at most.
That said, Nintendo will have their first party games and if they can smash those out the p...
How can they recycle the same shit every year.. but I mean if this one's genuinely good then.. k I guess? But as long as people buy it then they'll milk it all the time. Why can't they do a single new game every few years and give multiplayer a chance to keep a player base? Seems so dumb.
I bet the multiplayer is full of abusive children as well.. meh
You mean like how they first had 8k on the box and then removed it? Because it was marketing BS that people lap up without doing their own research first
DLSS is superior and this is only at console matched settings so not even the best PC can do, PS5 Pro putting in a decent showing though overall.
On the other hand I like creating content and playing with apps that you can't do on console, and playing an FPS with a controller... Super bleh. Most other games a controller is fine tho.
Wii U was basically a 360 but years later.. How does that even happen? Even Dreamcast was a jump ahead of other consoles when it came out.
Costs can't keep rising. Some bigger games might take longer to make, but it's been proven before that quality games can be made in just 2-3 years, yeah they might not be super cinematic like people expect these days but they're much quicker to make.
Plus, AI tools are getting better all the time which will reduce workload and make things much easier to produce, like it would help generate game worlds which they can then go in and touch up or alter to their liki...
Pretty much, the only games I had day one were ones I knew I was gonna love, like Half Life 2 in 2004 which I upgraded my PC especially for.
Not many "AAA" games I'd buy day one these days.. little if any actually.
Well it's a UK property... So with that in mind politically correct bullshit will likely be a thing.
Some scalpers will be pissed now
Releasing the PC version shortly after would show up the console versions for having noticeably lower frame rate and draw distance and details. But console players who wouldn't spend out on a decent PC wouldn't buy the PC version anyway, so I don't see the point in purposely delaying it..
So literally the only reason would be to milk console copies and get PC players to double dip... Lame, get your act together Rockstar, GTA started on PC after all.
That's because it's not powerful enough for maxing out newer games, I said that from the beginning, it's for light or moderately demanding games (for a little while) at best, which is fine as long as the buyer realises that before buying it.
Who said anything about "happy?"
I remember reading a while back a thing about having a right to re-sell digital games. I didn't hear anything more of it so don't know what happened there, but how that would work when games get tied to your account I'm unsure of though, almost certain that also pretty much killed off owning games on disc as well IMO, since fast internet is common today there's little/no need for a disc if you need to format your PC...
Before I looked at the minimum and recommended specs I was honestly expecting lower (considering it was on 360) but all things considered even the recommended specs are low.
Looks like they cut the multiplayer though, don't know how good it was so it's hard to say if that's a good thing or not.
It's either BS or maybe they caught wind of MS possibly releasing a bit earlier like they did with the 360.
@PRIMORDUS
Yep I prefer Nvidia as well, especially if you make use of their features and use AI apps. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 5090 turns out but not sure if I'll get one yet. 5080 looks too cut down going by rumours anyways.
Looks like some people are pretty salty over my comment, but it's no secret that equivalent and better PC GPUs have been around for a while, so they're bound to get discounted right before next gen.
These GPUs have seen good discounts recently, they've been on hot UK deals a few times now, they look like good value mid range cards for UE5 etc.. because they provide decent FPS, and midrange and lower Nvidia cards keep getting worse in terms of price to performance. This looks set to continue with there being a big gap between the 5080 (more like a 5070) and the 5090 which looks like it could be a total monster.
Either way, I wouldn't buy any GPU ATM unless desp...
Because the site is full of Sony fanboy horse riders 🐎
It wasn't fair when the original Digital console couldn't use the external disk drive either, but fanboys don't talk about it. Everything is a plus with Sony.
