Yeah same deal though I wouldn't call Starcraft or World of Warcraft ground breaking games.
They weren't new or ground breaking when they came out years ago.
It would have been better to have said ground breaking games like Dune II, Ultima Online and the first CD based game Myst, that played music off the CD itself.
PC hardware at the moment has panned out again, where buying something for $200 still lets you play everything new anywa...
GT has had all the mod stuff since GT came out.
I find the cars in FOrza under steer way way too much to the point where they almost never turn at all, and this is doing 60mph in some of the super cars.
lol he'll say xbox.games and it'll take him to the personal settings page.
then xbox.back which goes to the xbox credits page.
then xbox.start which simply turns it off.
got to love voice control.
Would this override sony only be in the USA because in Australia the 360 hardly gets any ads space in the junk mail.
at some shops the PS3 section is twice the size of the 360 section.
Does that mean the PS3 has won then?
I read it.
I don't think it was all that great though.
Sure he says don't hand out all your news items in a forum, but those are also the people who your expecting most to buy your game etc, not everyone buys game mags anymore and game websites while ok not everyone looks at them either.
I don' bother with the game websites full of too much useless crap on them so I do buy game mags.
In terms of the rest it's ...
Seems like it has the same problems as the Wii.
Move too fast and it can't keep up,
if you don't move correctly then it can't figure out what your doing either.
No kid is going to do the movements properly.
And Adult's are going to see if not working properly as well.
It's the whole reason why it'll fail.
The Wii, although bought by heaps of people is generally classed as a fai...
Working fine to me, You get the exact same thing happening on the Wii.
It doesn't know when to release the ball so you have to fling your hand to release but there's always lag because it always waiting.
I actaully think the news piece is a load of rubish.
Aion runs on the Crysis engine for MMOs.
And this is the thing with ALL MMOs released they run on the hardware that came out 5 to 10 years ago.
Hell a Intel 300 128meg on-board GFX card will run Aion fine, with 15 to 20 FPS AVG across the board.
I've yet to see a top notch looking MMO, it's all low poly objects nothing that will push the hardware too hard, or use up...
Yeah you can, because he was the one saying you needed openOS so you can hack the PS3.
So Sony remove it to stop people from getting any ideas of using it, otherwise people would have been able to use it.
hell the whole reason why it was there in the first place was so people could have a homebrew scene, yet Gethotz thinks you need to hack the system just to have a homebrew scene.
It was already there, the homebrew scene have just converted ...
His videos on cracking the PS3, didn't really mean much I'm not fussed about the PS3 being hacked anyway.
This chip was designed by IBM who made new CPUs day-in day-out, and would know how to stop people from trying to hack into software or the chip itself with 50+ years of exp.
Sure you could try emu the last SPU which works but it acts as a gateway, but then your wasting cycles on an emu to act as a gateway and then how do you make an emu anyway whe...
I think this whole thing is taken out of context.
Really what he is saying is that 60% of MS's XBox Live revenue is coming from one of our games.
So if we wanted to add further DLC, features etc. we can't because we don't own or get any money etc doing anything for free on the XBox Live service which 60% of their customers are playing.
Which is a good point, as people are paying MS $50+ a month to simply be able to play someone el...
MS have games on the way, lol. they don't have a game div anymore.
They are relying on 3rd parties to make games for them.
Because kinect is so they can try and chop into the Wii market but most Wii owners don't use the Wii so it'll be hard to bring people who probably aren't interested at all, over to the 360.
It's called money a stock pricing.
He also said hardcore gamers would never pay a monthly fee.
And that is right but when to do anything on the console it's teh lesser user who'll pay the fee so the hardcore gamers have to pay to do anything as MS won't take it away and claim it's a feature or user's should be happy to pay the fee.
It's not the truth but they'll make out it is.
For me I'd put the PC at #1 in terms of hardcore.
Consoles don't really push it in terms of being hardcore.
What do you really have to do that's hardcore on a consoles buy games? that's about it really.
A Hardcore PC gamer you'd never buy a brand PC you'd always buy the parts then make your PC up as this allows you to upgrade the GFX card etc to what ever you want in the future.
All the brand new GFX c...
lol, there was an amiga console before the playstation it bombed mainly being too new.
It had a cd drive for games, and all the amiga 600 hardware.
Think of it as a playstation, I have no idea if it had better hardware than the playstation
Hunter was the squeal to mid winter, which was a world in pure snow all the time.
something happens at the end of mid winter to make it full on sun shine.
pretty much polar opposites
3D viewing will become the norm.
Sony is a content provider so all they have to do is simply make all their own games 3D and the other companies will follow.
all the movies these days are also in 3D so once they become all 3D then it'll move onto consoles/computers and TV shows.
after that it'll become standad.
If 3D doesn't become standard then people won't want to buy a new TV as nothing will push people int...
I wouldn't say that, Carmack only came up with the idea of using maths to make areas seems like they are like rooms etc, thus the FPS was born.
With out him FPS might not exist at all.
Anyway, generally the ID game engines run much nicer than other people's engines, he's pretty much the king when it comes to FPS game engines but what cane you expect when you came up with the idea and made it happen.
The 1 thing this doesn't s...
Because it'll cut back the PC version.
If it cuts back on the PC version too much all the hardcore Asian players won't like it and won't bother with it.
The problem though is multi million dollar games most likely don't exist.
Because most games are made within 2 years, 1 year for design and concepts then another year to make everything.
99% of games don't have 5000 people working on them at most it'd be 30 people and that's probably a lot.
I would say people get taken for a ride for the PR people claims for games costing trillions when really most don't, because if they d...
