I believe the GT brand is the highest selling brand out of them all.
this would be all wrong anyway as GT4 has sold over 40 million copies itself, that doesn't include GT 1 to 3 sales which are all very high selling games as well.
1.8 million would be far far too small a number for world wide sales.
last week a UK game store chain was bringing in all the warehouse staff just to process GT5 pre-order sales you don't do that if you'...
This is laughable.
The 360 has 512meg of ram CPU and GFX combined.
the PS3 has 256meg of cell ram and a separate 256meg of ram that's for the GFX card.
So yeah that'd be why this ex-dev only seen the PS3 using 256meg of ram.
The problem with multiplat games is you have the game mainly using MS dev tools simply because it'll be made for windows and then 360 or the other way around.
while the PS3 also ...
I surely hope not.
If MS bought them they'll have them shut down and non existing after 3 months.
It gets released for NTSC markets on the 24th of november.
If your in a country that has a GMT ahead of the USA or Japan then you'll wait till after the 24th.
So in Australia the release date is the 25th.
All these euro countries would be ahead in GMT time so will get their copy on the 25th maybe the 26th due to transport etc.
Typical USA thinks it's the centre of the world etc when it's actually London that is th...
That's why he said PAL areas too.
So it'd be 25th in some PAL areas as PAL covers most of the world.
@Death2494
Yeah I think that sounds about right.
In Australia retail shops don't bother much with the 360 stuff any more, unless there's something major but even then it's not really pushed any more, like when the 360 first came out.
You walk into places and they will have a minum of 3 bundles to some places having up to 8 different bundles with different games and controllers etc different prices and stuff you can pick up PS3 bun...
HD is 720p
TrueHD is 1080p
TrueHD only comes on blu-ray
PC hasn't gone Blu-Ray yet, once 3D modelling programs and photoshop etc start going blu-ray then PC games will start going to blu-ray and once you have 50+ 100+ gig products it'll leave downloading behind.
SSSSHhh DigitalAnalog = They think baseball is played all over the world.
it's best they don't know about other countries.
But as a end user you never own the system you simply get to use it.
doesn't mean much, as most games will be crap on the iphone etc.
PSP jailbreak doesn't require a usb dongle though.
So this is what I understand you to be saying.
Sony takes away OtherOS support in the PS3 and that's bad because Sony makes really great movies and more of them, instead of helping people to pirate on the PS3.
Sony aren't fussed about people putting games on the HD.
Sony does fuss about people putting copied/backed up/pirated games on a HD and using this USB device to play them.
What I do funny.
is that a bunch of people want this pirate device, but very few people actually want to pay for this device and would rather pirate it or have it for free, so in other words they want to pirate what the pirates have made themselves.
or want rip ...
Sony only lost last time in Australia because they wasn't any real laws stopping someone from producing a unit to bypass security.
Now that the US have came up with the Digital Millennium act, and offered free-trade rights to Australia in which Australia had to apply most of the US Digital Millennium act.
It could be a very different story.
also devs could just make the retail version not work on dev PS3's.
this only works on fat32 drives and the PS3 doesn't use fat32 also that file format have limits
won't work with the cell chip.
that why geohot didn't bother as you have to emu the key holding SPU.
and he couldn't do that as all the PS3 cells have a different key and sony might be able to change it.
Actually this will be the main reason why game shops won't exist soon, everything will needed to be downloaded via offical channels can't do that they you don't have the game.
Signed files will be the next thing once downloading only comes in.
I can't see this dongle working after a month or so, as sony will end up doing a new update which will have a signed PS3 rev #, so if your PS3 isn't signed off then you won't get online play so...
@Wizziokid #1.1
I think the idea was more about them doing something on PS3 rather than change something or have something better on the PS3 than everything else.
?I guess the PS3 market is too large for them to say it's not worth while anymore or maybe they have people who can code or something either way
The thing I'll note with GT games is you need to forget the idea that your playing a racing game but in fact driving a real car around a track.
Top Gear have proven that you can use it to train your driving skills so you can handle tracks much better.
It's never really been a game but a driver trainer and to those who aren't into that won't like GT games, F1 teams do use GT games to train their drivers in fact many racing teams use GT as a dri...
