again... i'm sure its awesome. i own a ps5 and gt7. I want really badly to play gt7 in vr.... but i'm as of right now not planning on buying psvr2. Out of all the games announced for psvr2, literally only 2 games have captured my interest. everything else is either just more small scale vr games, filler games, corny kind of indie type games. If i'm going to spend nearly $600 on a peripheral, a peripheral that costs more than the unit it runs on, then i expect to have a game librar...

Probably. I mean switch users are used to low resolutions and framerates with the graphics stripped down. Don’t turn on cross play tho unless you hate winning.

Bro. A majority of these games don’t look like they’re worth spending more than the cost of ps5 to play. Come on.

This only confirms my fears over psvr 2. A bunch of silly vr games serving largely as content filler. I’m not gonna pay almost $600 for a system to play stuff like this.

I know the hardware itself is amazing and I know that gt7 and horizon look fantastic, but as this list tells me, games like that will be the exception, not the rule. It’s vr itself as a platform that just isn’t bringing it home for me. This only further convinces me I’m right. I have a quest 2 that I can p...

i'll be sold on it when psvr2 proves that games like this are the rule, not the exception. while i think horizon looks amazing and i would love to play gt7 in vr, the rest of the launch lineup is meh, and most vr games end up being meh.... on any platform. i'm not gonna pay more than the cost of the ps5 for a peripheral i'll use for 1 game per 20 releases.

i'll be sold on psvr 2 when i see a steady stream of games being released of this caliber. i am not at all convinced that this will be the baseline for psvr2 after seeing how the original psvr was supported and how the vr space at large has turned out. I'm not saying psvr 2 isn't cool or amazing. i'm sure it absolutely is. but i'm not gonna pay more than the cost of my ps5 for a peripheral that gets only 1-2 games a year that i'm actually interested in. I've done t...

It does seem like PlayStation users care more about physical games than anyone else.

I’m sure it is but it’s the support and games it will get overall that I’m not sold on. The list of psvr games ended up being disappointing and most games were smaller experiences. I’m sure psvr2 will be better, but aside from 2-3 games, I have zero interest in almost the entire launch line up and even the coming soon games.

vr in general is a format I am no longer sold on and I was one of its biggest advocates at one point. It’s the occasional great experience after a majo...

We’ll see. This is the same experience literally every time a new headset is announced and has been that way for almost a decade.

I’m sure psvr2 is dope and probably the best headset on the market. It’s vr as a format that I’ve lost faith in.

Even after deciding I wouldn’t buy psvr2, I started reading the reviews and thought I’d reconsider. Went to order one on the Sony site. Added it to cart. Said it would delivery between feb 22-28th with a total afte...

It also doesn’t have day one releases, which is gamepass’ biggest advantage imo. And I’m a subscriber of ps plus premium on my ps5 and gamepass on my series x. Both are good services but gamepass’ advantages aren’t trivial. They are major differentiators.

At least with ps5 and series x you get increased fidelity/higher quality. Switch is just the same mediocre presentation it’s always been but now just more. One could argue that the overhead is higher for ps5 and series x due to that fidelity and having to work with higher resolution assets/workflows, better Mocs/animations and effects. etc. switch has none of these excuses and is just arbitrarily charging more.

It is a great game already and I love it, but not gonna lie when I say it would be awesome to see it get new current gen graphics overhaul. The dead space remake is absolutely gorgeous and seeing dead space 2 get that treatment would be amazing to me.

I’m sure it’s awesome, but I’m still not gonna buy one. That’s too pricey for an early adopter video game experiment and pretty much all the vr devices I bought (og psvr, vive, etc quest 2) ended up sitting unused in a closet after a few months of use at most.

I’m sure there will be some cool titles and admittedly I’d love to play gt7 in vr but I can’t escape the feeling that most of the titles will be low rent vr standards. Various clones of games like thumper or beat sabe...

agree to disagree, but more importantly theres a big timeline discrepancy in trying to make this point anyway. they don't really overlap. Also - i'd just like to point out that gtaV has now sold 175 million units now and Red Dead is coming in second at 50 million, i can see how Rockstar could make such a decision to cancel Bully 2 when Bully sold a meager 1.6 million in comparison.

gamepass is off to a solid start in 2023. This is after we just got Monster Hunter: Rise, HiFi Rush, Plague Tale: Requiem, Chained Echoes, Crusader Kings 3 recently (amongst others). And now coming up we have: Atomic Heart, Wo Long, MLB The Show 23. Minecraft Legends and Redfall rounding out the next 3 months.

...and i got a discount on the Dead Space remake on top of it all.

Look at the quality of the games mentioned….

Destiny is still doing fine. Warzone is doing fine. Fortnite. Fine. GTA online? Also fine. Sea of thieves… fine again. Look at the reviews of crossfire X. It’s a shit game. Rumble city? Cuz dodgeball is what people want? The reality is there is no one type of game that is the future and some people like to compete with other people. Single player games are great but I for one don’t only play single player games. I still play gta...

cool but not sure why this is even needed. both the xbox one and the series x|s can natively run xbox 360 games... unless this is to get around titles that haven't been unlocked via license or something - but i wonder if it supports auto hdr, 4k resolutions and the bumped up framerates like running them natively does

1129d ago 2 agree9 disagreeView comment

Yeah I’m surprised by the amount of hate it gets from reviews. I had a good time with it. It’s certainly not perfect and after playing the dead space remake, I’m reminded how much better dead space is as a game - but CP isn’t completely trying to be dead space and is still an enjoyable game imo. It definitely has similarities and a lot of inspiration but they actually play pretty differently overall. For example: CP relies far more on melee combat and is far more straight forward in moving th...
