Excellent game. Love the weird creepy vibes and the super slick design. It’s almost kind of retro. One of the best releases in the last few years imo
This article didn’t even mention auto hdr, fps boost or smart delivery which would have been better than “fits into a room”.
The article pretty much points to why the article is a waste of time to read in the first couple sentences.
The Quest 2 is $350 all in. It’s self contained and has the power of a mobile device from 5 years ago.
The PSVR 2 is just under $600 and that’s only for the headset. It still needs the $500 ps5 to power it (which is also sold at a loss). That means the real comparison is an $1100 vr setup to a $350 one. That’s like comparing a ps3 to a brand new 409...
It’s probably old stuff from a while back
Uhhh it is on series x though
It means it will be exclusive to ps5 going forward. Not sure how much there is to talk about here. This is how it happens every generation. The last generation starts dropping off. Nothing new
So what?! Sony didn’t have any exclusivity deals in place for either of those and MS honored the contracts in place for Sony exclusive deals on deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo and still released psychonauts 2 on PlayStation while simultaneously Sony will never let silent hill, final fantasy or bloodborne come to Xbox. Sony’s arrogance is over the top here.
omg this article is too basic.
first off. Sony buys exclusives all the time. Do you think they are making any multiplatform games with any of their recent acquisitions aside from Bungie (which requires multiple platforms to be successful)? In fact the only reason MLB The Show started coming out on Xbox was because MLB forced them too or was going to take away the licensing.
Second: Sony basically said they don't want a deal at all with MS, they just ...
The apologists need to be reminded that being a ps5 exclusive game doesn’t just make it good by default.
Also why I’m fine being digital only now. This is just a waste. Most games just end up in landfills at some point anyway - sans the occasional diehard collector. Important here tho because this game didn’t even make it out of the honeymoon phase before it was considered trash. Tho when people defend this game I will always think of how I could literally to dig a brand new copy out of the dumpster.
Lol. It’s the Atari ET game of 2023. Think it’s safe to say we won’t be seeing a sequel.
Never get too attached to a new google service or product. They come and go like the wind. I figured stadia would be dead the day they announced it, and here were are.
I said the same thing. Impressive as a tech demo, not so much as an actual game - especially when compared to the mainline games. Initially I was blown away, but the longer I played, the more obvious the shortcomings became. At some point you also start to dread when you have more climbing to do…. Which is what most of the game is. Climbing
That’s about 100x more difficult, risky and expensive. just ask Forspoken.
Hmmm. Kinda glad that didn’t happen.
As someone who bought and has one, I agree. It’s awesome, but you can definitely wait to get it. There’s only a couple games right now that actually show off the system in a way you would expect from Sony. The rest are pretty much kinda the standard arcade-ish filler games you could play on a Quest 2. Not quite the games you want after spending almost 600 for the hardware… after spending another 500 for the ps5 itself.
I think they were saying the mechanics of the game are a game changer. Psvr2 is def cool and I own one myself now, but it’s not bringing much to the table that isn’t being done elsewhere. This same mechanic they are talking about here exists on pc too. And while the psvr2 hardware is certainly great, it’s not the best on market. There are other headsets with the same types of controls but faster refresh and higher resolutions etc.
Pretty cool for sure. Admittedly this one makes me a bit motion sick but it’s def cool.
Triggered.
Yeah. 7.5 sounds right. Initially I was blown away by it but the novelty kinda wore off after a while. After you get over the beauty and immersion, you start to realize the game itself is pretty thin. It’s more like a Horizon Zero Dawn Lite game…. With a whole ton of physical climbing.
