but you're still going to incur the cost of the ram price increases bc the games you buy going forward are going to be more expensive to pay for the ram increase
it means your games and subscriptions are going to get more expensive.
so the console won't get more expensive... the games will. I'd almost rather it be the other way around considering the games and services cost increase would end up costing cumulatively more than just paying a bit more for a console. but I guess thats why they most likely made that decision.
Funny how everybody shits on Xbox but as soon as their games show up on PlayStation people love them….. I remember the social media battles (and ppl on this site) with ps users specifically talking shit about this game… and forza horizon (separately) and both have been well received on PlayStation paradoxically
"we can't get it to run on the series S"
"LOL... stupid xbox"
"what about the even less powerful switch 2?"
"oh yeah baby. we flexin on that port. we got it on there running at 540p, 20 fps"
"HELL YA! Switch RULES!"
before the hate.... I am a proud switch 2 owner and love it. but im also a realist who can't help but notice the generous excep...
Copyright is copyright. DMCA is a good thing that protects creators IP., revenue and usage. and you can absolutely appeal a wrongful DMCA takedown. It’s happened to me. Was easily resolved.
It’s clear that vr will never reach the ubiquity consoles have enjoyed. It’s been this way for years now - and every year we get articles claiming vr isn’t dead, despite tons of articles having to say it’s not dead…. Every year. Maybe it’s not dead, but it’s not at all thriving and never really has. I shelved my Rift headset years ago. Bought an oculus, now it’s dusted. Trusted Sony would bring it home with psvr2 and that shit sits in my closet untouched for 2 years now. Nothing even remotely...
Duplicate story. Or does Christopher just remove xbox stories that are similar?
no multiplayer?? wtf.
IGN isn't a "news organization". it's a magazine/content producer that generates revenue on ads and services. We aren't talking about the AP Wire, Reuters, etc. I suggest you adjust your expectations of what you think you are going to get from an industry content creator. this is entertainment, not geopolitics. furthermore, the story you are commenting on is in fact true and thats not IGNs fault. work out those issues. ;)
Hmmm. When they said it was getting enhanced visuals, I thought it would be more than just a resolution bump, so that’s kind of disappointing. I know these updates are good(load times, more ppl etc) but yet I’m still underwhelmed
How about you make a game that’s important to you and the people who are interested in that buy it and the ones that don’t like it don’t have to buy it. Just because something bugs some people doesn’t mean there aren’t other people who it doesn’t bug. Someone’s hangups shouldn’t be other people’s problems.
Don’t want a game that features a political or cultural statement or an underrepresented group of people? Don’t buy it.
Not all of us just want vapid, ...
I fail to see how representing actual underrepresented or making them feel included is an “agenda”. This is an extremely self centered selfish viewpoint. Those actual underrepresented people just want to be recognized as valid. The privileged majority who are always represented take that for granted and can’t deal with the fact that “other” types of people or views exist. Inclusion or awareness isn’t an agenda. It’s representing reality and making those “other” people or stories be seen and a...
I own and enjoy my switch 2 very much, but I still don’t consider it a console. It’s a handheld that easily plays on a tv. I actually wish Nintendo would make a proper console that was more directly competitive with PlayStation and Xbox at the same level.
“Lost ownership”
You never had full ownership. To literally buy a game would cost millions of dollars. Even with your cute little physical disc, you only paid for the right to license a copy of the game to play on your machine. You’re still subjected to all the licensing and restrictions. The developers can still compel you to do whatever they decide with their game because they own they actual game.
As far as pricing - this was to be expected. In the 19...
A reassuring update for the secured longevity and practicality of physical media… this update is not. Cost cost cost.
badass
I have it on series x and it’s great. The addition of sim brief direct compatibility is awesome. Programming flight route plans is waaaaay better than 2020 - especially cuz of sim brief and the new EFB. I’ll check it out on ps5 when the VR update is released.
Here’s the thing. It’s barely more powerful than an Xbox series s - the console everyone complains they can’t get anything to run on.
What’s my point? I was totally interested in buying this thing til I read the specs. Then I was disappointed and not interested. I already have a series x and a ps5 but thought this could be my simple, more affordable gateway to pc gaming - but now that I realize my existing game consoles are more powerful, I’m much less interested. So in my ...
The last release was…. Not good. Felt like a game directed by marketing analytics.
