Yup… yet another vr rhythm game….
I’m sure it’s fine but I mean… these aren’t the games you wanna drop an extra $550 on a psvr2 for… and I know because I did.
This is why I don’t have a ton of faith in vr as a platform in general… most of the psvr2 launch titles are underwhelming and you don’t even psvr2 to play most of those. It’s all the same games and types of games just recycled again. I’m kinda already getting bored with my psvr2. Kinda more of t...
Like I said… its on Xbox too… and actually looks better too according to digital foundry ( tho the controls need to be dialed in apparently)
I keep my estimations low to begin with for Nintendo these days. I think it’s cool for younger people for the most part, but for me as a grown man with a ps5 and a series x, it’s just too underpowered and toy like. Sure you have nintendos classic IPs etc, but for someone like me or my friends, the switch is kind of a joke. It’s biggest games are pretty cartoony and pixar-like games which are games I’m not really looking to play as an adult who likes things like fast cars, competitive multipla...
I see the switch largely as a handheld. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t consider it an actual console, and compared the seriesX and ps5, not only is it outclassed in every way hardware wise, but feature wise as well.
If Nintendo wasn’t the Disney of video games or if anybody else other than Nintendo had released the switch and called it a console it would have failed.
I think the switch is largely a success because of kids/teens and nintendo leaning ...
Yup. Spend an extra $600 on that $500 ps5 and you can play games like this…. Which is one of my biggest concerns now as a psvr2 owner
I’ve had mine since a few days after launch. I honestly think the only games that truly matter on it right now are gt7, call of the mtn, re village and maybe no man’s sky. The rest are fine I guess and might even review well but most of them are the same kinda cheaper vr games that are either available on a Quest 2 or similar to. Not really the games to show off the headset that costs more than the console.
Don’t get me wrong, PSVR2 is awesome, but if I were to go back in ...
Just like I said naturally to a ton of disagrees. Sony has been paying to block content on Xbox for years - all the way back to the ps2. Ppl think all these games come to PlayStation cuz the studios just think PlayStation is cool. Not true. It all comes down to money. Sony pays. Why would a studio on their own choose to limit a release they want to sell the most of by releasing it on only one platform?? Sony is the market leader, but there are still millions and millions of Xbox gamers they w...
Sony PlayStation is under investigation in Japan. There’s no bias. Sony IS doing this. They invented the timed exclusive. It was originally designed to block key IP from launching on Xbox consoles during critical windows of growth all the way back to the OG Xbox. Started with grand theft auto. Then silent hill and final fantasy. They still do it today. They block call of duty content on Xbox and call exclusive PlayStation content. They buy marketing rights to huge games - kinda part of why th...
No man’s sky is certainly cool in psvr2 for sure. The only bummer is sometimes it makes you even more aware of the limited graphics of the game. Still super cool tho. Physically grabbing the controls of your ship is really neat - mildly frustrating at first, but once you get it down it’s cool.
So it must be doing the same thing with even a bit more power on the series x.
I hate this shit when they pretend the game just doesn’t exist anywhere else.
whelp.... unless there were exclusivity deals in place before the purchase like Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop, then its all fair game and thats what MS bought. Sony never let Bloodborne come to Xbox and severely limited Final Fantasy releases on Xbox, as well as constantly buys content and advertising deals for COD. So i don't really see anything wrong with this. All is fair in business purchases. I think MS has been completely reasonable with Sony and continues to be even now.
Sounds better than I was expecting.
Nice! Also that kinda makes up for that bite back edition which feels too pricey for what it is.
nice. i'll pick this up for sure. I have Call of the Mountain on PSVR2 and while its "fine", its just not a true HZD game and doesn't quite scratch the itch.
People know this is also on series x, right?
It actually really does suck. I had to start a whole new profile when I got my ps5. My account had been hacked before then (when you could actually get ahold of them) and they switched the email address on my account to secure it. The only alt email address I had at the time was my work email so that’s what they used. When I got my ps5 later on I couldn’t use that account. It had been locked for some reason. The only way to unlock it was for them to send an email to the one associated with th...
I dont wanna say i have buyers remorse after purchasing the psvr2, but i realize now after the fact that theres not a ton of games im really interested in aside from gran turismo. I hope better games come out for it. Right now it’s mostly just kinda lofi filler vr games - most of which you can play on a Quest. The tech itself is very cool and the quality is high, but the launch library isn’t stellar. I def at bare minimum could have waited to buy it, thinking about it in retrospect. As of rig...
I actually enjoy no man’s sky. It wasn’t ready at launch but it’s been more than adequate since then - especially considering it was only made by a handful of people and came up with a pretty groundbreaking concept in video games.
It’s pretty cool. It takes a bit of learning at first which initially can be frustrating. The controls like when flying etc also take a bit of getting used to but once you do it’s pretty cool. It’s not the best looking game graphically but it’s pretty cool regardless.
It’s on Gamepass :)
