I’m still gonna buy it but I mean let’s call a spade a spade here; the stock ds5 and the ds4 aren’t exactly stellar at battery life either so not really surprised. Still - I’ve been waiting for Sony to do an Elite style controller for quite a while now so I’m still happy overall.
Just like I said in the other story about why certain games skip Xbox, naturally to almost exclusive disagrees. Sony literally pays them to not release on Xbox. This is why Phil spencer said Sony wants to grow by making Xbox small. It’s not just me saying this. It’s readily available info with a simple google search. I know everyone will clutch their pearls and exclaim “not Sony! Studios just love Sony” but that doesn’t change reality. Business is business and everyone is looking for an edge....

yeah the updates are weird too when comparing series x and ps5. apparently it runs higher res on series x but draw distance is greater on ps5. the series x runs better in RT (quality) but not by much and performance mode seems to run slightly better on ps5. Not saying this to troll consoles but more so to illustrate that the problems on both consoles seem like they should be able to resolve in that each console does something better than the other... seems it could just be evened out on both ...

Bummer cuz the battery in the ds5 already isn’t amazing. People make fun of MS for not having a non-removable internal battery, but the advantage of having a couple of the rechargeable lipo charging packs (which last a long time already - even longer than AA batteries) that can be swapped out on the Xbox controller is the better way to go in my opinion. May not feel as cool but def more convenient.

Sony bought the rights to so much final fantasy shit… and why would a third party developer/publisher not want to have tens of millions of other potential customers and fans. The answer is Sony paying them for that money. It was Sony who invented the timed exclusive to thwart Xbox sales generations ago. It’s Sony who pays for marketing rights to games like call of duty and destiny before that (before they purchased bungie).

people need to stop treating this like dead space. every negative review wants it to be dead space then bitches about it not being dead space.... it has similar themes and a couple mechanics that are similar to dead space but thats it. you could simply chalk that up to both games being created by the same dude.
Callisto is more action oriented and a bit more linear than dead space. its more like if you took Call of Duty, removed the military aspect and put it in a scifi hor...
The sooner you accept that it’s not dead space, and just has some similarities to dead space, the more you will enjoy this game. It’s by no means perfect, but it’s a lot better than some of the reviews give it credit for. Personally speaking I am having fun with it and nearly finished. Also lets my series x flex a little bit on those visuals - especially now that all the ray tracing has been fixed.

Uhhhhh. We have very different thoughts on games then. When I read this headline I immediately think of uncharted, horizon zero dawn, returnal, god of war ragnarok and then I play the demo of forspoken and think that it doesn’t have any of the magic that make those other games amazing.

Sony has no ethical standing to block the Activision deal as far as my opinion is concerned.
Exclusive deals with 3rd parties are fine if planned ahead and the cost of production/development is shared. Timed exclusives are fine. That’s business. Outright blocking 3rd party games from your competitor in perpetuity as the existing market leader while allowing them on less direct competition is f***ed up
