I asked the same question. Having another screen in my house is the least of my problems. I can actually get more out of a tablet that I already own and a hotspot or a cell connection or a hotspot from a cell connection and cloud stream. This would make me spend more money to do less. Doesn’t seem well thought out at all. Has PlayStationTV written all over it.
How is a rumor confirmed information….
Uuuhhhmmm. Emulation is literally software that imitates hardware to run code on nonsanctioned, no licensed hardware. That code and the architecture it runs on are intellectual property of Nintendo. So you are in fact running software that they own that you got someplace else on hardware that was not licensed nor sanctioned - this is essentially copying and stealing. It’s literally the epitome of what licensing agreements were created for. In that license agreement you agree to running a copy...
If this article is true, I have suddenly lost any and all interest in this title.
last time I checked its a free market and vendors can do whatever they feel is appropriate for their business and products. don't like it? don't buy it. this sense of entitlement gamers have is undeserved. deal with it or move on.
just remember that this is a XBOX FIRST PARTY STUDIO. So while everybody is bitching about MS and Redfall, Diablo is out there killing it.
I have a sneaking suspicion that their appeal to the CMA in the UK will be successful too. They already have MPs questioning the CMA, now the director of the CMA has been called into question with her links to Sony and Google, two of the only companies that coincidentally also tried to stop the merger.... if anything that alone is a bad look. couple that with all the drama about business, the PM wanting tech to know that the UK is a good opportunity for investment etc and the fact that pretty...
"playstation is all about SINGLE PLAYER STORY DRIVEN EXLUSIVE GAMES! So here's a Multiplatform, multiplayer game from one our recent acquisitions!" LMFAO.
In all seriousness tho, I LOVE the design of this game so far. the aesthetics and graphic design are killer.
"could only be made possible with the power of ps5 (and its ssd)..... but here it is on PC with added tech to make it better than the ps5 version... like better antialiasing, shadows etc"
I’m pretty underwhelmed by everything I saw of Travis game. I’m already burned out on superhero themed things as is, and this game looks nearly identical to the last one. It’s almost like they just “Call of Duty’d” it. Also - even tho they are cool and all, I’m actually starting to get bored with Sony’s big set piece moments. They’re so common Sony games now it’s starting to make those moments feel less special. I dunno. All this stuff just feels so corporate driven now. I miss wild, edgy, cr...
For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.
I’m sorry but this thing is dumb. A single purpose device that is Wi-Fi only and needs to be on the same network as a ps5… just use your tablet and get a Backbone controller. No need to also buy this dumb thing. DOA. Should at least be able to do cloud streaming via Wi-Fi/cellular. The fact that it has to be on the same network severely limits the practicality and return on investment of this device.
disagree all you want, but digital sales are up, and physical sales are down year over year over year. physical releases also cost more to make at a time when gamers are bitching about prices so....
It was a good showcase for new games. It was not a good showcase for showing us the future of ps5 specifically.
I was surprised, but not necessarily in a good way. For all that PlayStation and its diehards talk about high quality AAA exclusives, Sony was surprisingly light on them, focusing more on multiplatform, 3rd party games. Even their acquisition Bungie is releasing a multiplatform multiplayer game, the exact opposite you would expect from a Sony first party. And the only game they wanted to have multiplayer didn’t and seemingly also runs at 30 fps.
I think some great games wer...
It was a great showcase for multiplatform games. It was not a great showcase for PS5 specifically.
Remember when ppl mocked Xbox for wanting to harness “ the power of the cloud”?
I guess if you re-release the same games enough times at full price each time, you can make a lot of money. How how about we get TLOU 3 instead of another remake?
I love how even when Sony gets criticized, it’s with the most padded gloves available…. It’s almost like the author is sorry for actually having an objective opinion. And I’m going to go ahead and say it; for as much sh*t as those “enthusiastic gamers” (lmfao) have been talking lately about how everyone was gonna go sell their Xboxes after this presentation, this showcase was entirely underwhelming. The best and most exciting things shown are multiplatform 3rd party games. That’s fine for me ...
You could do the same thing better with an iPad (or any tablet)most ppl with income in this market already own… and if using a cloud gaming service could take that most places. This thing is near pointless. Most households these days also have more than one screen so if finding a screen was a problem and you’re doing well enough to have dope internet., a ps5, a flatscreen tv and money to buy this then chances are you probably have more than one screen somewhere and can just move the console ...
