I'd generally agree, but the sheer number of significant delays of late concerns me. What's the point of setting deadlines if they're clearly unrealistic? Presumably the publishers have noticed that there isn't much of a backlash from games being delayed these days and so don't worry when it occurs.
Really good, comprehensive review of a very niche game. Not my cup of tea but great for fishing fans I'd imagine.
Good to see an improvement but I'm sorry to say that, with so much choice out there, they lost me with the first "act".
Agreed, a real shame. Pity it doesn't deliver on its atmospheric premise.
It hasn't changed radically, no, but refinement isn't some dirty word. It's still a fantastic game; there's no point trying to fix something if it ain't broke (I'm aware of the irony with how buggy Bethesda games are!)
Good list! It had never really occurred to me that good old crazy Zant helps Link. Mind you, he is utterly insane so makes sense in a twisted sort of way :)
Wow what a score! Can't say it's undeserved though - it's just so much damn fun to play!
Limiting interaction is risky because it places more onus on the story to be good.
I really need to get around to picking up Fallout 4 as seemingly 90% of the gaming community has done. In all honesty, though, I'm worried about how it will take over my life. Not due to the scavenging, or the exploring, or the character interaction, nor the killing stuff. It will be the building....
Good article!
Has it really been released for PS2, or is it a re-release? Anyway, fantastic name! Try saying that 3 times in a row after a few.
Agreed - it's so refreshing to have a game that encourages you to try to survive in a world without just kicking/shooting the bejeezus out of everything.
Article is spot on about how Fallout 4 is all about refining an excellent formula, whilst Undertale truly innovates with dollops of imagination.
Seen review scores all over the spectrum for Bedlam, but I think any developer should be applauded for trying something different, even if it doesn't quite hit the mark.
Great review, very thorough. Will enjoy the atmosphere but shame about the padding. Probably one to pick up further down the line.
‘Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability.’ About time Blizzard returned to being ambitious. No point aiming small after all...
Not a classic Zelda game by any means. Just hurry up with Zelda Wii U please Nintendo!
I guarantee that not all of them will if there genuinely are major problems. The ones that are only just receiving copies on launch day will more than likely be brutally honest, because why shouldn't they be?
Agree, good penetrating article. This sort of unscrupulous exploitation of the grey area of reviewing tarnishes all video game journalists. No wonder professionalism is often questioned.
Would be nice for Sony and Microsoft to see some serious competition though to at least drive down price, wouldn't it?
Way to disappoint everybody Squenix. There was almost nothing - what an anti-climax!
Cannot believe that quote from Jonathan Jacques-Belletete. Assume that must be very much tongue-in-cheek, but still...
