"Hiyah! Hargh!" etc.
In all honesty with Fallout 4 just around the corner I'm not too excited about Battlefront itself. I completely agree, however, that if it means that publishers suddenly sit up and say "Hey, Star Wars games still do pretty damn well", and support exciting-looking games like Battle of the Sith Lords, then I say let the hype roll on!
Yep any excuse to return to the twisted world of Isaac
You have to pre-order to gain access to the beta? That's garbage - surely the beta should be open to sell the game to prospective buyers?
Nothing tops Theme Hospital. Best 'Theme' game ever.
There's something sinister about playing Ocarina of Time with a sack on your head. Odd form of abduction...
I really should dig out the old Gamecube and get hold of Eternal Darkness. I love everything I hear about it but just haven't got round to it. Good list - agree with all on there.
Whenever I and others complain about not having enough time for stuff, I think about guys like this, who often hold down full-time jobs or just scrape by whilst sinking hundreds of hours into their passion. Inspirational stuff.
Slightly impressed? Ivy is mighty impressive in my opinion :p Would be concerned about impalement though...
Sounds very strange but would be rude not to add it to the backlog for the price of a breath of air!
Good comprehensive review. Virtual pinball isn't really my cup of tea, but appreciate the effort they've gone into with the voice work and attention to detail.
They're always solid JRPGs, but judging from the review it seems like this latest does very little to improve on the series. There shouldn't be issues with linear dungeons really.
In my opinion not sure it would necessarily add that much, the protagonist being female if the game's from the first-person perspective? Maybe that's just narrow minded though. I mean Alyx from Half Life 2 is a fantastic character who works best as a supporting character to a mute Gordon Freeman.
Well said. This obsessing over a single personality glorifies our celebrity culture, something which doesn't tend to be quite so invasive in the gaming community.
Glitches and lots of people seemingly impersonating Bert from Mary Poppins, but without the charm :)
Really looking forward to this. If anybody can pull off the video-game equivalent of Bladerunner with the panache it deserves, it must be CD Projekt Red.
Pretty much. They have an evolving identity of their own. Boobolution?
Rebooting the series with what modern gamers come to expect from action/adventure games nowadays was an excellent move.
Don't fall for the Assassin's Creed hype! The trailers are always slick but you cannot be sure anymore if the game will actually work on release!
Presumably there would be new maps for the vehicle combat. Sounds exciting to me, though - I love vehicles in multiplayer shooters, and Battlefront just hasn't done it right in my opinion.
