I don't think it's any better really, but the sales figures certainly show that it's a more popular console. And the Dualshock 4 is much improved over the DS3 so most players feel comfortable using it.
We better do! The series has been left dormant for far too long, and Metroid Prime: Federation Force just looks insulting.
From what I've read and seen the narrative is very poor and if what you're saying about the abysmal ally AI is true, then I can't see how it's so easy to overlook. The campaign certainly doesn't sound like a masterpiece anyway - just decent fun.
In my opinion it depends to a significant degree on whether they make a platform hop, or are released on the next generation of console. If yes to either, then why not bundle everything together into one convenient package?
Dishonored is a good example - never got around to the PS3 version (although bought it for a fiver a while back) so tempted to get it with everything included on PS4 at some point.
Is that barely audible noise Microsoft trying to shout over the recent PlayStation clamour? :P
Exactly what I was thinking. Without the 7,461 mentions of 'Hideo Kojima' that bulked out MGSV, though, they're really going to need to flesh it out.
Hugely underrated game - the demo doesn't really do it justice because it's actually quite deep with a surprisingly engaging if predictable plot.
Plus, you get to blow robots into lots of itsy bitsy pieces, which is fun.
The saga has rumbled on for so long that I think I'm now immune to The Last Guardian hype. I don't need game play trailers...
Who am I kidding! No need to be worried though, it makes sense. It's been teased and I reckon most people will already know if they'll get it or not.
"...with Disney now owning Star Wars and Marvel, we could see a game where Sora teams up with the Samuel L Jackson trio of Mace Windu, Nick Fury, and Frozone."
Ohhh yeah!
Don't think it has the appeal of the single-player games, and it had quite a few problems at launch didn't it? Surprise surprise.
Not sure I'd trust Nemesis to not tentacle my party in the back. Feel a bit sorry for Lara in this group as well...
Silent Hill 2 is one of my favourite horror games of all time, as it built on the original in every way in my opinion. The psychological horror is so disturbing and trumps any jump scares...
Sorry, just shed another tear for the cancellation of Silent Hills.
Never seen that PS3 advert before but good lord it's ridiculously creepy. Make that into a longer scene and you'd have the scariest ever horror movie scene!
Never got around to playing this for some reason. Really should dig the old PS2 out.
@sarahnade I just mean that if it weren't without hardship and sacrifice, as well as requiring a lot of talent, then voice actors like Taylor wouldn't be able to command the same sort of fee.
If it didn't, they wouldn't get paid for it :)
WiLD looks awesome too. With Michel Ancel at the helm it's bound to be good. Cautiously excited about Uncharted 4 multiplayer but worried about the lack of dedicated servers.
Some great games on this list, not only the well-known ones like Shovel Knight but hidden gems such as Sunless Sea. Fingers crossed Shenmue III is a bigger-budget success story too and warrants a place on lists like this.
Second that motion. It's just not the same now - breaks a mid twenties guy's heart
Fun article. I'm terrible (good?) at hoarding powerful items in games. Accumulated loads of Magnum bullets in Resi 3 I recall but only dared use them on Nemesis at the end.
